I think it's good to study F&E first because so many diseases can have a fluid and electrolyte imbalance. For example, heart failure can get the fluid imbalance of fluid volume overload (FVO), so you should already be familiar with the signs and symptoms of FVO such as edema, increased HR and high BP. Other examples of F&E imbalances include renal failure, cushings disease, diabetes insipidus, dehydration from gastroenteritis...the list goes on and on. So study fluids and electrolytes first!
