    That’s not what actually started it. What started it was, Ukenta was at a rack looking through it when Elphick came right next to her, reached around her, and placed an item onto the rack.. (which wasn’t problematic).
    The problem was that Elphick stayed right there shoulder to shoulder continuing to go through the rack.
    So, Ukenta said, “Excuse me,” and asked Elphick to respect the 6ft Covid distance ESPECIALLY since Elphick wasn’t wearing a mask. Elphick didn’t like that and went to the cashiers asking them to call Security because Ukenta was “rude and threatening her.” Being accused of making threats is what prompted Ukenta to start recording. Elphick swung BEFORE realizing she was being recorded. And she swung because Ukenta was refuting the lie that she ever threatened Elphick. It was only AFTER taking a swing that Elphick realized that Ukenta wasn’t going to fight back and instead chose to record. And when she realized that the attack was recorded, that’s when she retreated from being the aggressor, denied the assault, and understood that she was going to end up online.

    • @GoodVibesAffirmation
      @GoodVibesAffirmation 3 года назад +323

      Exactly! These Karen’s bait you while they are the aggressors bc they know how it will turn out for a black person. Black people are inherently assumed to be the aggressor in ALL situations. When she realized she was being recorded and the lady wasnt fighting back, she went into full “I’m scared” Karen mode. If she was that scared she would have gotten as far away from her as possible!!! Not stay there and swing at her. People wake up to the manipulation please. WW been doing this forever because they can. People still don’t get it. Smh 🤦🏾‍♀️

      Dr. Grande. 1) As a doctor I would assume he would be more concerned about Abigail possibly committing self-harm by publicizing her shame like this. 2) It very well might have been a legitimate panick attack. 3) She might have had other mental issues. 4) It might not have been her fault from the beginning. 5) Race was never brought up by Abigail (the only time race was mentioned was regarding the "white tears" comment from the person filming 6) He also never addressed why the video was posted on social media in the first place 7) He left out possible financial motivation from the person filming getting over 100k 8) it looks like the video was edited prior to posting to social media.

    I believe she was in complete control of herself during every second of this. She tried the tactic of threats and aggression, then tried the tactic of crying and becoming the victim. When that didn't work, she slowly collapsed to get sympathy from other shoppers. The leg shaking was an elevation of that sympathy bid, as if she had some medical emergency. Then it was back to a combination of aggression and being threatened as she ran after the other woman while telling her to get away. She knew exactly what she was doing, and had complete control the whole time.

Even after years and therapy, I still have panic attacks, and while I may become irritable, overwhelmed, and have to leave, I have never, nor have I witnessed anyone I know who also have panic attacks ever behave other than maybe crying, like this lady. I once talked to a Uber who also had them and he told that he had the same symptoms but would also pass out, and because of that he stopped working as a driver for some time because on one time he only had time to stop the car on the sideways (he was telling me how better he got and how important is to take care of yourself). Seriously? That's your argument?
      Ukenta says it from behind the safety of the camera and I think she kept a rather civilized tongue compared to Elphick. That doesn't mean that there wasn't a threat coming from Elphick, the "damsell in distress", even though it wasn't imminent at the moment Ukenta said it. For her it was a release of tension to laugh. And let's face it, anyone seeing Elphick's behaviour with a little knowledge of how actual mental disturbed people react will call her Karen too and laugh at her ridiculous performance.
      Elphick is a disgrace to the cause of mental health awareness. Her example makes it difficult for people to learn the right response to a person with a real anxiety attack. And that I find at least as much of a problem.

    You totally skipped over the racial dynamic. Ukenta being asked to leave was in essence the taking of Karen's side with the "halo effect" of her whiteness. If Ukenta (a BW) were "screeching".... do you think she would have asked Elfa to "leave? "
    So many layers to this one
