I needed to get out of the house so I decided to Drive with my car to Düsseldorf it was a challenge because it was really hard to find parking so many people went shopping on the weekend and visited the first Christmas market Compared to last week the weather was really cold on this day I had a great time I met a friend and enjoyed dinner with him enjoy the video
Most mom's are that way. At the end of a visit to my mom about 15 yrs ago, when the shuttle arrived to take me to the airport (and eventually to a fishing contract in the Bering Sea) my mom was sure to tell me "You be a good boy, now" in earshot of the driver and other passengers 🤣🤣 I was in my late 40s and she was in her 80s. Your mom is always your mom.

What it is like being amongst truly civilized people, CLEAN. You see no trash and nobody is there picking it up! Beautiful. I could see myself living in Germany and loving it.

His tours of Germany feel as if you're with a longtime friend (from there) who is showing you around. The Venice/L.A. segments give SoCal folk a chance to see our world through different eyes. Many of his stories are light and fun. With wonderful, real characters we might not meet otherwise. Some stories are more serious. In those, Michael offers a deep and moving perception and invites us to experience what he feels - with him - via his camera lens. Again showing us things we might overlook or drive right by.
But first and foremost, Michael is a kind, observant story teller with a keen eye for detail and his stories follow this lead.

That he shows us So Cal natives our home through different eyes is one of the things I love about his channel. I have changed my mind about many places in LA because of his videos.
Germany and Europe is always beautiful in the Autumn/Fall. The smile on your mums face is only a smile a mother can give when she is so happy to have her son home. xx
But if you live here in Europe like me, it's rather depressing in the long run. I live in northern Germany and from October to March it is mostly gray on gray and it gets dark earlier and light later. No, as a local I can tell you I don't like this autumn and winter time.

When I lived in Portland Oregon, people loved the scenery if they were visiting, but to live there was miserable because often the weather was not great. When I lived in Singapore, the weather was always Sunshine for the most part, but the humidity was sometimes overwhelming - you adapt. But yes, I understand what you are saying.
@@michaelkuschnefsky362 The so called "Golden October" is still a nice time of the year. And from march on a better feeling slowly starts rising, but it's no joke short days and gray weather can put you down sometimes...
I was in Duesseldorf in 1976, located in central Germany. I love the culture, food, and regional language of southern Germany where I lived from 1976 to 1979. I especially miss the Christmas times of southern Germany (Bavaria) with the heavy snow, Christmas markets and real trees, and hot apple wine with wursts on a freezing day. I don't think I will see it again but never say never. I had an opportunity for Europe with my family in 2019 but missed out, going to Honolulu instead. Good choice as I ended up living in Hawaii. I had an opportunity to live in Poland to assist in setting up a Christian university but had to choose to reestablish myself in the USA after 28 years in england/communist hong kong.
Hong Kong was never Communist; either under British rule or under capitalist Chinese rule since 1997, with some autonomy.

I spent eight years in LA and returned to the East Coast. I like the change in seasons and the calmer lifestyle. The only thing I miss about LA is the sunshine! It’s always a pleasure to see your interesting and informative videos. Thank you so much!

LA has changed! I visited this year and jumped over hobos and their poop. I remember visiting from Tucson in the 80s in HS and it has changed. Coming now from the Midwest where you can find cheap peaceful areas, it isn’t appealing.

Looks Beautiful. We went to Germany 10 years ago to visit my son who was stationed in Stuttgart. Germany a hopping place. Lots of traffic, but lots to do for fun. Love the Christmas Market.
When I was a kid I was in a bad car accident and I got a bear. I was with a friend and his family when we got hit by a semi running a red light. I was a scared little kid all alone in the ambulance and the hospital until my parents got there. I was very grateful for that bear and I'm sure the kid that gets your stuffed animal will be too.

For me personally autumn is my favorite time of the year with the trees in all those beautiful colors and also love christmas i hope you enjoy this time GIV especially when you couldn't spend the christmas time with your mom in germany for such a long time. Say hello to your Mom hope she feels better soon.🙂 I grew up in Würzburg Germany we had a beautiful home my sister and I had matching German sleds for the snow we enjoyed the cold weather so much.😄 Christmas was so amazing there I also remember the great food and candy Bratwurst/ knackwurst and Gummy bears/candy necklaces was our favorite we vacationed and traveled all over Germany. The German castles were our favorite and we enjoyed boating in Austria too. I hope to visit Germany again soon our family's favorite place to stay was the Gasthof Lutz😃

Go to the Bavarian themed town of Leavenworth, WA during the winter and you'll feel like you're almost at home.

Nice video. Gas prices vary around LA. In East San Gabriel Valley you can find gas as low as $4.59, but most places are about $5.39. In Pershing Square there’s a Christmas tree and skating rink. I believe there’s a lighting ceremony on Nov. 23rd. Enjoy yourself and tell your mom hi for me.

How cool, I collect postcards...and yes I remember how cold it was when I came to visit my family during xmas. Cold in California is 45F or less. As a child I walked to school and it was -10C.

Chilly nights here for the last week, betw 18 & 29F, but the days are sunny & dry and in the 40/50F range. The rains will show up soon enough, I’m in the Pacific NW. It’s warmer when it rains! Thanks for getting out & enjoying yourself & taking us with you. If the troubles there end up restricting energy use, it’s great you are there for your mom. It’s good to have company in tough times + know your loved ones are okay 👌
