I have been in the Grocery industry for 50 years. We in the USA always think that we have the best of the best. Our stores cannot come close to your store. What a shame that our grocery industry has not kept up with the rest of the world.
Everything looked orderly. In America, except for the luxury stores, stores don't really have such nice presentation. And I love the little lockers for your items you don't want to take into the store.
Very true. A lot of grocery stores in other OECD developed countries are orderly, have good presentation of products and are actually clean due to health and safety regulations. Additionally, the food industry in the US is shameful too since a lot of preservatives and chemicals we use in food production here are banned in the EU (and I think other countries also) But that's a whole 'nother topic...

That was too cute when u grabbed your mom's shopping list with the grabber 🤣
Yes, very entertaining. I always like a comparison of costs USA vs other places. Many similar items.....lol. Others i have no clue what it is. Your Mom is a fun travel companion!! Rock on you two.
Hi Mikey😝. I seem to remember when I was living and studying in leiber Deutschland there was a Punk song about Edeka back in the 80's by the Idiots. I don't know all the words, but here goes. Edeka, Edeka, ist wunderbar, wunderbar. SONDER ANGEBOT! SONDER ANGEBOT! EDEkaaa! Sorry about my poor spelling of German punks songs, but that was one of our favorites back in the day.
Ur mom is such a darling iove her smile..
Glad mom is back in the picture …. Just LOVE her smile
Be well u two
🐥🇨🇦🐥hugs to all
Moms a technician… like her son! God bless you two!
When you first posted your first German in German video - I got hooked and subsrcribed.
I miss Germany, great country. Everything is quality.
Wow the beer is so cheap in Germany! Hello from Canada...another beer drinking country!
Chears or Prost we say in Germany, Beer is really cheap in Germany, you must be careful if you visit Friends or go to a Restaurant - Drivers License.
I got hooked on Asterix and Obelix as well as Tintin when I visited my Grandpa in Belgium for a couple of summers in the late 70s.
Mom is awesome , always in a good spirit.
German your mom is sweet thanks for taking us shopping.Love these blogs and us amazed at how cheap stuff is.Keep the clogs coming.
Wow, you brought a lot of memories when I was living in Germany 🇩🇪😬 Danke!
Omg, I’m gonna miss your mom and friends when you go back to LA. I think we all will. You have beautiful people in your life. You’re gonna have to find a way to put them in your videos sometimes. I bet they’d happily participate!
This whole time I thought I knew everything about Google but thanks to your mom I learnt something new today Loving the German store videos btw 🙏😊
I feel like this is the type of content RUclips was made for. Great stuff!
Lol! Your Tshirt! And loving your mom putting those cold drinks right on top of the frozen fries! Cold needs cold!!! Great prices at this grocery story! Love the size of that lettuce! I want to try the pretzels you like! You r right....the flower thing would never work here in the USA!
The flower thing doesn't really work here either. Ask the farmers. Most people pick a lot of flowers and then pay only for one or so. I really don't know why they are still doing it.
I live in NYC...amazed at the affordable pricing on food items.
Your Mom's got the best and inviting smile ever so pure ❤️. Loved this video Mike, awesome content! Greetings from Toronto 🇨🇦
I have been in the Grocery industry for 50 years. We in the USA always think that we have the best of the best. Our stores cannot come close to your store. What a shame that our grocery industry has not kept up with the rest of the world.
I just retired from the grocery biz 28 years, it's all about the profit, every item has to 20-50% profit.
The Grocery Stores in America Look like a Store in a 3rd World
Country. I see that in MD, NJ, KY, New York State, TX, Washington DC

Loving all the Germany videos, especially those with your momma. It's really sweet, yall hanging out and taking us along for the ride. She seems like the loveliest of people! :]
It's funny how you going to the grocery store can be so relaxing to watch while eating a slice of pizza.
OMG, all the good groceries including "Vollkornbroetchen" and "Vollkornbrot". The prices are unbeatable besides a huge selection on every item.
Your mom knows, what is good and healthy. She is some kind of German "Hausfrau", very practical too.
And you was gaining weight, Mike, no wonder with this food. Say hello to your lovely mom, we all love her ❤💕.
Let mom feed you while you're there. She loves her boy and wants to make you feel special. Hi mom!
You and your mom are so adorable together. I love her personality and you guys look like you have a lot of fun together.
I love your commentary, you should become very famous! You are real and I like the realness of your shows. I’m ready to visit Germany!
Love seeing your mum shes always smiling its very heart warming
German products so good...great tour of really nice store👍👍👍
Your mom is awesome Mike!! Her smile is contagious! Another awesome video!!
I had great fun watching you and your Mom. I can see where you got your wonderful smile
That's like at least $200 worth of grocery in the US right now. I love the German vlogs. Had the pleasure of driving from Denmark through Germany to Belgium before but didn't really explore too much of Germany. I'm sure I will explore Germany again one day! Your mama is WAY TOO CUTE! ❤
If she went to Lidl it would've been way cheaper.
Either that or Germany's groceries stores are going crazy with inflation, too. I used to spend about 1/4th or 1/5th in Germany as I did in US. For instance, I remember Milka being about 70 cents a couple years back. So the prices to me are quite wild!
@@swissy5608 Everything gets more expensive right now, thanks to inflation here in Germany.
A pack of chicken filets went from 3 euro to 4,50 and other things went up 10 or 50 cent and so on.
Actually closer to $136.00
Here in Canada that would have been at least $300 to $400 dollars.
@@bradwick212 Thats like $230 USD which is what we spend a month being on the low side, and you guys make much less. I think you guys work 32-38 hour weeks? And you guys are on call right?
It makes no sense, you guys are closer to agriculture and meat mecchas of the US and Mexico.
Do you guys have higher tax rates on these business?
That doesn't make any sense .. lol.. are you in some like far away place of Canada?
Thanks for teaching us German. Say hi to your mom. Beautiful happy family.
An interesting slice of life. Good to see your mom. Chicago Grüßen!
Have you ever done a video on the Wuppertal Schwebebahn?
I love videos with your Mom! I love her smile. My mom is from Berlin and I have been to Germany many times. All the treats and broetchen are so fun to see. Thanks for doing another grocery store. Yum weisse spargel.
You, German in Germany are so positive!
Germans are so positive even after!
My family had to change name
So nice seeing you and your mother shopping.
Life is good for you...much Love from Florida!
u cool man, and your mom is such a nice person... you both are really funny, keep up the good work my man
Now that's my kind of store!
Awesome breads and everything seems well displayed and maintained.
That is a big supermarket. So many choices. I would spend a day there just deciding what to buy. 😆 Glad your mom is feeling better. Spending time together is important when you get older. I really miss mine. I wish I could of had more time with her.
Love your mom…..you two are so cute together! I went to Germany 10 years ago to visit my family……it was beautiful, very clean, but now……turning a little like California. I hope your beautiful country comes back to gorgeous soon!
