After being home for after three days straight, I had to go and see people and walk around. I decided to take the subway to Duesseldorf it’s a beautiful city, but there’s not much going on in the winter time on the Rhine river. I love to people watch I went to the Königsallee and afterwords I went to the.Altstadt and since it was so cold outside, I had to warm up to have a hot muscle soup people ride me all the time they would love to know when I come back to Los Angeles and I think I finally set the date

Hey Mike, I took care of my aging parents for the final ten years of their life. I wouldn't trade that for the world, but I KNOW how hard it can be. I too endured the heat set at 75- 80 degrees (it was their house so I never said anything), and I know how lonely it can get. There is such a thing as care-giver burnout, and you did the exact right thing: go out even if by yourself and clear your head. I'm glad you met up with a friend also- nothing better. Take care GIV!!
Mike, read a comment about being bored with your mom is better than anything to do with Venice or anywhere else. So true! I just lost my mother-in-law and, once they are gone, they are gone. Spend as much time as you can with your mom. Because forever is a long time.

As someone comes from a town in Australia with thousands of parrots, I could not believe when you said green parrots in Germany! But it’s true!! what most articles online say is that these birds came from India and were taken to Germany. At some point, these birds escaped and officially settled down in the parks of Düsseldorf in the ’80s.
Believe it or not GiV people will buy high end packaging such as Louis Vuitton bags. The empty boxes for the larger items are very sought after. You can find them being sold on the Internet. Thanks for another great video.

February is a good time to return to sunny Venice; it's the time when most people in the Northern hemisphere are well sick and tired of winter. It'd be nice if you can hold off until after 14 February so you can at least spend Valentine's Day with your mom. She's really going to miss you. Re: taking the subway on New Year's Eve -- Another advantage of taking public transit on NYE, besides not having to worry about parking, is that most major cities offer free or reduced-fare rides to discourage people from drinking and driving.

Glad to hear you're returning to L.A., although I know your mum will miss you. Maybe she'll come out for a visit soon. I hope your apartment and your shop will be ok...hopefully no homeless people have been squatting in them and crapping on the floor whilst you've been gone.

In my opinion I enjoy you in Germany so much more! You seem to fit so much better there. I for one, do not like the lifestyle of the pretentious LA. Please consider returning to your roots. Now I know: I always thought Krefeld was over by Essen and Dortmund. That platform where you caught the train kinda reminded me of East Berlin. Many years ago I took an S Bahn to the outskirts of Berlin Ist. It was in the middle of the week on a cold November day and it was all deserted - very romantic in an old spy movie way . Don't worry about a big tsunami in Venice Mike, it's a horizontal moving fault, not vertical like in Japan. You'll shake and sway side to side, but you won't drown. Hope that calms your fears! 🤓

You've missed all of our rain and amazing waves. I did not surf those as they were too big for me. But we have amazing snow over 280 inches of snow in our mountains and has been great for snowboarding. Yes, the Rhine river is great. I have taken it from Dusseldorf to Basel, while backpacking and staying in hostels and using my rail pass. Great views on the river and places to stay. Paintings for $1000s. You should do that. Don't underestimate yourself. Charge high you might be surprised who will buy. Thanks for sharing.

It's interesting that you would mention a tsunami because as soon as I saw the news broadcast last night about the earthquake in the ocean near Malibu, the very first thing I thought of was a possible tsunami. My mind wasn't on the earthquake, but instead on getting to high ground. But luckily there was no tsunami.
