Even as a long term Rolex owner (36mm Datejust), at today's prices, I cannot imagine choosing the Rolex over this watch. Much better features, in particular the hardness coating and the well done multi-adjustable clasp, even the shorter/thicker links on the bracelet all add up to super value. To think that I could own about 10 of these for the price of one Rolex should make anyone think twice. Great review, appreciate your style!
I love these comparisons. It's always interesting to see how much more (or less) you get as you go up in price. Both obviously have their own market but another interesting comparison would be to throw your opaline Monta Noble in there. You cover three different price points and can see the incremental improvement as you go higher in cost. Great video!
The Rolex is on another level in terms of fit and finish. It should be. That takes nothing away from the Traska which is a stunner compared to anything in its price realm. Thanks for doing this video. It’s fun to see them side by side.
i love the OP, but the traska just looks more visually interesting case wise with the chamfers. Not to mention its thinner and has a larger crown. I also like the bracelet more and the micro adjusts on the Rolex are just ridiculously dumb for how much you are paying. Meanwhile Traska is causally putting on a QA on a $635 watch. Honestly the only thing the OP has over the traska is the movement and the fit. Thats it DO better, Rolex
Hey that’s my OP just picked up a few days ago. The guys at Belmont did a fantastic job and I couldn’t be any more pleased with the piece. It’s better than I was hoping for and the guys were super professional. 5 star experience.
something about the applied markers of the Traska makes it far more striking than the OP, it's just proportioned way better in my eyes, also with Rolex, I'm more of an Explorer guy anyway. The Traska definitely fixes a lot of the shortcomings of the OP for me. Planning on getting the Black Traska Commuter 38, I'm just worried about QC (I have seen misalignments of the applied markers and the logo not being perfectly centered) given that they're a relatively young company, I know it's only a $600+ watch but I expect alignments to be perfect on any watch at that price point.
I love the unexpected, off the wall comparisons you do. I learn so much. And damn, I come out of this with great admiration for the Traska. Thanks for your hard work!!
Would love to see a review of the Traska Venturer II GMT compared to the Rolex Explorer II. Specifically that GMT functions, interacting with, setting, usage etc..
Are the watch hands black or am I just blind? I often see on youtube white dials with black hands but when I go to purchase on sites its always white dials with white hands.....
Great review. Really does bring home how Rolex left it's core market behind in a bid to cash in on Dubai princesses. The Traska seems to hark back to a past age and will surely pick up some buyers as a result. Best of luck to them.
Both the Rolex and Traska look great but as I'm watching this video while wearing my Christopher Ward Sealander 39 I feel like you should have included it in this comparison.
Traska pops better; fits better; looks cleaner; will scratch way less. No contest. Traska is win win. Better watch and full wallet. Gentlemen. It is merely a watch. No one needs one.
Like comparing a pure wool scarf and and a polyester scarf , both keep you warm but one will itch and in the end you will just rip it off . They both show the time but so does a $5 watch , it's not about the price
I get what you’re saying but not the best analogy IMO. You’d notice no difference in the physical wearing experience of these two watches. The “itch” would be looking down and not seeing the Rolex crown, and maybe thinking of the lack of in house movement. Other than fit and finish one might even argue the Traska has higher specs with the hardening and on the fly bracelet adjustment. Pricing is a factor for some, too. Especially when considering one is nearly 20x the price than the other, the Traska is objectively a better value proposition. Certainly not getting 20x the value or experience from the OP IMO, and I own Rolex, GS, Tudor, etc. I spend stupid money on watches but acknowledge there’s virtually no difference b/w a Rolex (a mass produced item) and a well done micro brand (Traska in this example) other than brand perception and some slight spec differences.
Respectfully I have to disagree with your math here. There is definitely some brand that you are paying for with Rolex, but there is undoubtedly more quality that you are receiving with the materials, finishing and movement and mystical je ne sais quoi. That being said, I'm a Traska man all the way but aspire to be a RolexBoi someday.

If Traska brings out the white dial in the 36mm size date option, it's an instant buy for me.
They just did!

Well said!

You are a lucky man, such an epic piece, congrats 🎉🎉🎉
If I could buy a white 114300 for $6000... Hell, I should have bought it before it was discontinued.
It's not that hard to find 🤦♂️
$10k now 😅

Did you end up getting a Traska? What do you think about the one you got?
Yes did you get the traska and are you happy?
I love the unexpected, off the wall comparisons you do. I learn so much. And damn, I come out of this with great admiration for the Traska. Thanks for your hard work!!
Very nice Traska. But this OP 39 white dial (more silvery) is absolute Grail!!
Traska keeping up with such a low price.. thats very good.
If the hard coating works its a big plus over the rolex.
I have one, and it works amazingly well!
Would love to see a review of the Traska Venturer II GMT compared to the Rolex Explorer II. Specifically that GMT functions, interacting with, setting, usage etc..
Love this comparison video! The white OP 39 is a personal favorite of mine.
As much as I’m super impressed with the Traska, the OP is perfection! OP white is one of my grails for sure 😍
I have a Summiteer 34 in black that I wear almost everyday. It’s great! I’m impressed.
Do you know if the 34 and the 36 has the same microadjustment bracelet?
as of now the 36 at least, does not. Im guessing the next round will include the QA clasp
@@jaer.6540 thanks

The hands are metallic, just reflecting off of a black camera lens in a dark room (lighting sources are off to the left and right)
Love this comparison - thanks!
Never noticed before, but the OP’s hands seem slightly too thin.
my favorite part start at 15:03

CW is imho one of the best GADA watch available right now.
They’re really not that similar though.
I feel like you wish it compared to the OP39 😂😂😂
Not even close
Great video, thank you!

Please review the Traska Venturer II against the Rolex Explorer II
If only traska had placed their logo as an applied marker at 12 as Rolex did
It’s really a joke how awesome Traska is. Traska covers 98%, just not a polished bezel and missing the beautiful Rolex logo at 12.
Traska looks like a Rolex low resolution photo

With Rolex 95% of the watch is the brand. Not extra quality.
