    My wife and I just purchased the house we’ve rented for 12 years. The landlord offered a short term land contract for the interest rate the bank offered. We will be saving 79 thousand dollars on interest. Now that it’s ours I’ll be designing and remodeling the home including changing the entire layout of the first floor. Can’t wait, you gave me some ideas for sure. Btw… the red dressed worked 😅 it’s not why I watch, but it it why I clicked on yours first 😂.

      I live in Houston,Texas all my life ..
      When the pandemic hit, I became a gardener to stay home and eat fresh fruits and vegetables. I’m four years into it and I’ve gotten so good great carrots, great onions, first time growing garlic melons, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, everything you can think of collard greens I’ve gotten really really good at it , so I’m already getting seeds starts .. will try a couple of new items like different watermelons, different tomatoes and a couple of different salad stuff arugula I had arugula salad, some more not long ago it was so good., and if I fell, I just regrow try try to do better I’m even doing my own composting and that is turning out really great this year..a whole year worth 🌱🌱

    I love your shed to house conversion! I would love to do this with my family two questions I have for you, do you plan to keep the kids in a loft together as they grow up through puberty? I have two girls and a boy, and don’t know how that would go necessarily. Being very girly, and very boyish. Second question, we live in the Midwest where we have -30s some winters. (windchill). in the winter, I don’t know how much every day would be outside other than chores any ideas how we could remedy that? Maybe build on a second little shed kinda like your guest house?

    • @BetterTogetherLife
      @BetterTogetherLife  3 месяца назад

      They actually worked that out themselves. Our girls decided they wanted their own space and now there is a girls and a boys loft.
      So many people we know have build an extended deck and connected small buildings or even built extensions onto the house itself.

    Ikea? You poor woman, don't get it wet. 😂

    • @BetterTogetherLife
      @BetterTogetherLife  4 месяца назад

      Sorry, you’ve never looked into IKEA kitchen cabinets. They are not like ikea furniture. They are SUPER high quality!
      Go see for yourself.

    • @nevadacool
      @nevadacool 4 месяца назад +1

      @@BetterTogetherLife i went to the Ikea website like you suggested, and this is what it listed:
      Material
      Drawer frontMain parts:Particleboard
      Frontside/ Backside:Plastic foilEdge:Plastic edging
      Base cabinet frameFrame:Particleboard, Melamine foil, Plastic edgingBack:Fiberboard, Acrylic paintFront rail:Steel, Galvanized
      I'm sure the cabinets look wonderful, and i apologize if you were offended, i personally don't like Ikea, or California closets, because the portray their products to be high end, but as tou can see, it's really just particle board, and plastic. Somehow, it has been adopted in America, as a high end product, primarily because the finish looks really good, and the manufacturing cost is next to nothing. High end cabinets are constructed with solid joinery, like dove tails, for example. The drawers are typically made of solid hardwood, and the drawer face is as well. I'm not trying to rain on your parade, im sure it looks fantastic, i just want to dispell the notion that you can buy a quality product from Ikea, they just don't make it.

    • @BetterTogetherLife
      @BetterTogetherLife  4 месяца назад +1

      Totally understand. I actually didn’t know that was a perception; IKEA as high end. But I’ve always known it as a frugal functioning option. So we liked the look, the install from someone else, and the durability just 5 years in is still exceeding expectations. I think high end builds would be beautiful and long lasting. Maybe we’ll do that at another stage of life. Thanks for sharing!
