They should be giving them cars away by now. Dodge and chrysler cars and trucks have been sitting around dealerships for a year. They say there not selling well its not because of what they are its because of the prices.

Several dealerships do that. Its not just a Dodge thing. Dealerships get money from banks when customers use their financing so they push that. Some actually deny credit union checks. Former Ford salesman here. I left because of how that dealer treated customers and employees.

Yeah you gotta watch the fees, a local dealer tried to sneak in a fee to cover the taxes they have to pay the state of AZ for vehicles that have been on the lot too long. And they calculated the taxes wrong too. Double check all the numbers and why they are there before you pay! If you check around in S AZ, you can find almost everything at or below msrp at one dealer or another.

The dealers are not dodge. They are independent. Go to a different dealership. Go to the middle of the country. My interest is zero with extended warranty and free oil changes for life. A RT at 30k...not 45k. My dealership slways does the best deal anywhere. Tommy Nix DRCJ. They've always treated me like family
Stellantis has known about these issues- markups, dealers selling ordered vehicles to others, add-ons, etc., and looks the other way. There are several dealerships on record, and even fined, but Stellantis doesn't do anything about it

Why can you go into any Best Buy and drop ten grand on some fancy setup, with TOTAL confidence the price will be as advertised, but a car dealership can pull ALL KINDS of tricks to dupe you every which way from advertised price. It's just an old system that needed to go away a long time ago.

Yeah I was shopping for a scat for about 3 months. I would get a price I liked but once they found out I had my own financing the price went up 3-5K

This is another reason why I am KEEPING my 2012 Ford Focus SE Hatchback, with MANUAL transmission. Todays cars are DATA COLLECTORS, and your data is sold to a company that collects the data, and then they sell it to your insurance company which then uses it to JACK UP YOUR INSURANCE RATE. My Focus has been paid for for years. I got it while it was 2 years old with 16,000 miles. Sticker when it was new was $22,400 and I only paid $14,000. I saved over $8,000 and the car was in like new condition. I now have over 163,000 miles on it and it's been great. New cars are over priced, have too many bells and whistles to go wrong on the vehicle, collects data on you, and is STILL under the control of the manufacturer. You didn't really believe that "Over-the-air Updates" are for YOUR benefit, did you? That's an excuse to be able to collect all the data your car collected on you, for sale to others. YOU are the product. If they don't like you anymore they can deactivate your car.

I live near Atlanta and the only Dodge dealership I know that pulls that kind of stunt is the biggest one in the area. They pay local celebrities to do ads, so they pass the costs of that on to the consumer. Yes, they have a great selection of cars, but don't fall for the hype. Only suckers buy from them and all of them overpay. Do your homework, find the car you want on a smaller dealership lot, do as much as you can over the phone, don't fall in love with any particular car, and be willing to walk.
Which one? So I know to stay away from it.
It wont get better till yall start reporting these dealerships! Notify the state attorney, notify the BBB, file a complaint. If it’s an A lot dodge dealership get the general manger name and notify Headquarters. Hold em accountable through the regulatory process. Dealerships have “assumed” authority. But they’re still an enterprise under US jurisdiction.
Back in 2022 I struck a deal with a dealership in Houston name Tejas Toyota who refused to sell me a vehicle if I didn’t used their financing.

You just need to shop around the country, not just local. I recently purchased a 24 Ram. I'm 10 miles from the plant that built it. Local dealers would only give me about $6,000 off sticker, having a friend that retired from Chrysler, and I would be able to use his "friend" discount. I bought my truck in Louisiana and got $15,000 off sticker. I flew to Houston, where the dealership picked me up for free, to drive me to the dealer, to pick it up.

Getting extra stuff doesn't mean you got a good deal. That's called placation. The best deals are where you get nothing extra because they are already at the absolute lowest price they can go. If they are throwing in extra stuff that means they are making their money back some other way and just want you to think you got a good deal.
