As a detailer myself I must say this easy coat is pretty amazing.
Reminds me of hydro blue by Mckees 37, I've been using that for a couple of years.
It is like McKees but the genius of it is that it is equally effective for both the weekend warrior and the professional detailer, but for two totally different reasons. The secret is the adapter for the hose. It is a game changer both physically and mentally.
Most of the weekend warrior types doubt the effectiveness of the ones where you spray one spot on a panel, then spray it with the hose and it automatically covers everything. I can't tell you how people I have shown McKees to and only about 1 out of 10 believe that spraying the water on the one spot where the product was sprayed will actually cover everything. The GTECNIQ adapter spray handle let's the non-believer see the living truth because they know it is just like when use fertilize your Yard with a miracle grow or a weed killer sprayer attached to your house. The client knows the water and sprayer are connected and they can see it go to every spot they spray and see its hydrophobicity on each area they sprayed. This product eliminates the doubt that my weekend warriors always show me.
Now for the pro, this product can be two things at the same time. First it's a cheap and effective way to add protection or a little something extra for your client who will think you took a lot of time and effort make their car shine. They don't know it only took you two minutes to completely coat the car. And with that Ryobi blower, the car is dry in three minutes. Time is money and GTECNIQ delivers.

Used Easy Coat a few weeks ago & very impressive results. Will be using it again before winter hits.

I would really like an undercarriage wash designed with ability to spray de greaser or some sort of cleaner through it.

@@destroyerofmines152 Its called avoid getting on your knees and contorting your body to get entire undercarriage even with a wand. We look for efficiency in this industry, time is money.
Mark Thayne many inexpensive pressure washers have a soap reservoir built-in, just fill that up and attach the undercarriage sprayer.

I own a professional detail company and we have been doing a process that has yielded great results: 2 bucket wash of course with grit guards.
Step 1 rinse vehicle with pressure washer to remove loose dirt, debris, and topical contaminants.
Step 2 spray iron remover on the body, let dwell for about 2 to 3 minutes then rinse.
Step 3 foam cannon bath. This will further flush out the iron remover remnants from the cracks and crevices. Otherwise you will keep seeing purple streaks bleeding out even after you have completed the wash.
Step 4 hand wash entire vehicle and rinse.
Step 5 remove all bugs and tar with all purpose and degreaser.
Step 6 clay bar.
Step 7 foam cannon again and rewash vehicle, this will remove the streaks and clay bar marks you created in step 6.
Step 7 blow dry vehicle and use drying towels or chamois with detail spray for lubrication to reduce chances of marring the paint.
Step 8 dry off your door jambs with some waterless wash and a microfiber towel.
Step 9 begin paint correction or polishing steps.
Step 10 apply coating
Step 11 clean the windows
Step 12 apply protectant to trim and apply tire dressing.
We have tweaked this process until we were satisfied and it has yielded great results.
It might seem like overkill by washing twice, but it really comes out nice.
Our process is similar. We always wash a prep twice.
Sounds pretty standard to be honest.

I always use W4 in the cannon its the better soap to breakdown dirt and get it off the surface then G wash I use with the bucket because it feels like it has better lubrication to avoid swirls. I have tried both and G Wash tends to get thicker foam so that's probably why they use it for foam instead.

Nice job guys - is Rob here - like the little dig on the scent ;-) - to be the pedant that I always am - any fragrance in Easy Coat would cause residue issues.
Lots of good little tidbits to be found here. Never thought about the chemicals as "A, B, C" like that. I bought the W5 (All Purpose Cleaner) for bugs, but I also wanted in case I needed it for other areas of the car. But on the first pass of 10:1 dilution, it didn't take it off. Kind of wish I bought W5 (Bug Spray) now.

be interesting to see if EC works better and lasts as long as *Wetcoat/Aquacoat/Hydro2Lite/TW Dry & Shine* etc.......and other spray and rinse protection products, especially with TW being half the price of the rest. And not make a mess if it dries too quick! Already seeing EC for £12-16 in UK

@@junctionautosalon Coming in a year later here, how long did it last? I know it says 'up to 3 months' which I highly doubt. Especially if you have a car that stays outside with no garage.
@@Hardcaslte I still use it during maintenance washes for my customers coated cars. 2-3 months is normal. Hydrophobics die off after a month but most have washed the car again before that so its easy to restore.

Great Video, love GTechniq products. Living in Michigan I'm going to get the Easy Coat. My truck is coated with CSL/EXOV4, when you get that rare 45°-50° day, you can bet I'll be washing and easy coating to get me through the winter. Now one bit of constructive criticism. Coating a white F-150 Crew Cab with a total of three coats between CSL and EXO sucks, can GTechniq get it down to two coats, or have next gen CSL with EXO properties and looks? Again great products, love the Matte Dash, and I use W4 across the board. LET IT EAT!

As with other gtechniq products, I would imagine c2v3 is a finishing product. After your wash stage, whatever it may be, easycoat then c2v3 would provide the best longevity and protection.

What brand of undercarriage washer is that at 10:00, an MTM? I really need one of those. I have a 370Z and my current undercarriage washer will not fit under the car because I have the lowering kit on it. That undercarriage washer looks like it would actually fit under the car. Thanks for any info.....🙂
I used easy coat today and i wasnt impressed over the hydro blue from mckee37. I ran out of easy coat before i finished spray on a ram 2500 crew cab. Can gtechniq easy coat be put in a spray bottle like mckee37 and spray each panel and rinse. Seems like with the hose adapter it just emptyed the bottle fast.

Great when you do so many products showcasing and proper application/use. Yes, "let it eat" is exactly what we say in Spanish "deja que el producto se coma toda esa porquería" "let the product eat all that grime" in short "let it eat".
The G-Techniq products should at least have a vanilla scent or pineapple scent or piña colada scent.
I am. not sure I see the point of the MTM foam and rinse? In the UK 🇬🇧 we seem to like the medium thickness foam that I like to dwell so it won't save me any time. Good video thanks.

Can I use easy coat in a regular shampoo bottle attachment for my water hose or do I need to buy the starting kit? I already bought the gallon and don’t have the sprayer…
So do you dry the car off after shampooing and rinsing before applying the ceramic spray coat? Or can you apply when it’s wet after rinsing the shampoo?

Question with the carbon ceramic brakes. Is the issue only when they are hot? Or just at any point you can’t use an iron fallout removal?
Carbon ceramic brakes are sensitive to chemicals, the rotors are porous and chemicals can soak into them and may cause them to discolor and become brittle. These braking systems produce very little in break dust anyways so it's just better to wash them with soap and water and not have to worry about causing damage.
What would you recommend to clean and condition leather seats? I want to keep the soft look and feel of the leather.

Where do I buy the foam cannon?
You should really do this with a rookie with no experience and teach them the products and the process. Then you could teach then the basics in the first episode. Then next level with polishing, then final episode with coating and maintenance.
Could we get more context on wheels you cant use chemicals on and an alternative?
