Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band - “Twist and Shout” - Phoenix, Arizona - March 19, 2024

For the first time during their 2024 World Tour, Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band performed “Twist and Shout” at Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Song #28 of the night, this was a sign request.
"Twist and Shout" was written by Phil Medley and Bert Berns in 1961. It was originally recorded by The Top Notes, and then covered by The Isley Brothers in 1962, and The Beatles in 1963.
This concert in Phoenix was my 42nd time seeing Bruce Springsteen perform and my 34th time seeing The E Street Band perform.

That was most good of the BOSS to honor an audience member's song request. A chance in a lifetime if you ask me. Maybe that is what makes him so exceptional.......Sharing a gift with the world and then connecting with the audience is another thing. It's all wonderful. I think that's part of why i've been keeping up with RUclips videos with the BOSS and ESB (E-street Band) whom also do their do dillengence and over to show up and do their job.

Gonna be hated for this but it's awful and just for Bruce diehards who don't want to admit his time has been and gone, back in the day he was good and put on a good show but even in the 80s when born in the USA made him mega with his americana music someone did it way better, John mellancamp

I don't dislike John Mellencamp, he's a good artist, and overall a good songwriter. In my humble opinion, he's just a different artist, a different voice. I didn't like Bruce at first, but it didn't take long before I realized his and the band's abilities. There are some great bands out there, but when it comes to changing the setlist on the fly, I don't know of a band that holds a candle to the E Street Band.
And in the 70s/80s, the band was just getting started, in my opinion, it only got better with time. There is a strong cohesion between the group and Springsteen, even if his age has noticeably worn down his voice. There are few artists who keep their voice almost intact after 70 years, perhaps Tom Jones nowadays, but that's it.
