I was at the German Irish game before covid (can’t remember when exactly) is was in Hanover Germany, the Irish were at a minimum and lost but! Were the loudest happiest of supporters, I’m British born and my family German, they were amazed at the singing and chanting the Irish gave, I’d never been to a football match before, amazing crowd 🎉🎉🎉

Wow that’s absolutely amazing!! Irish rugby has never achieved these Heights before. And up against my home nation the All Blacks next week in the quarter-finals will hopefully be an epic match. Just like a lot of Kiwis we have our Irish heritage, so Ireland is always our second favourite team. But it just feels a little bit different this time with our boys as underdogs and our national coach that has really struggled to keep our proud record intact. The four best teams playing each other in the quarter-finals is quite unbelievable!! 🏉

In the 1950's that sort of relationship was fraught with difficulty. The Cranberries were a very good band, but my favourite band of all time are Rush. You may have heard of them? I wonder what it is like to be a Canadian, self declared atheist, son of holocaust survivors, but culturally Jewish person, in the light of what is happening in the world right now?

What a match.!!!! Congratulations to both teams. Excellent rugby on display. The scoreboard may not reflect it but Scotland played an excellent game. Ireland we’re just too good. This match had everything, sublime skills, incredible tactics, marvelous supporters. A thoroughly enjoyable match. It was a thing of beauty. I can’t wait for the next match. Ireland is looks very very good. They have the skills, they have the strategy, they have the ability and they have the belief. The all blacks will have their work cut out for then to contain such a talented team.
Scotland didn’t play an excellent match, probably our worst performance of the year but Ireland had one of their best performances of the year and were always going to win that day. We played alright for 15 mins but the Irish defence shut down our attack which tbh struggles to adapt when facing the world’s best defences. Then we lost hope. Credit to Ireland, they were exceptional in attack and defence and I think they’ll at least make the final.
