This is brilliant. Even if you have a machine that can handle CM's under regular circumstances without getting bogged down there is still a huge time savings to be had by doing it this way I think. Genius as always my man!
@@PolygonDivision That's why they said it works UNTIL you add these things. I suspect it also breaks with transparent objects since you're turning down all the bounces. Neat trick for still images.

Thanks for the kind words!
as always-perfect 🎉
Thank you so much 😀
You saved me a lot of time on my recent project with this. Thank you.
YES! Definite time saver for product renders with client work.
Very useful ! Thanks for the tip 🙂
Beautiful!
Thank you! really good tip
It makes Cryptomattes work on older graphics cards for Product Visualization.
Great tip! Thanks a lot.
Thats works, until you added in your scene motion blur and agressive bokeh. In that case, the cryptomate needs more sample, to ged rid of noises
There is no motion blur or bokeh. Wrong video buddy.
@ that's exactly it. if the scene has strong defocus and motion blur, then the technique in the video will not work.

@@Bivan4erI’ll make a video on this.
