I REALLY ENJOYED THE WAY YOUR TARGETS WERE ARRANGED...NICE AND EASY AND CLEAR...A SIMPLE BULLS EYE, ON A CLEAN WHITE BACKROUND, WITH APPROPRIATE POWDER CHARGES ON EACH INDIVIDUAL CARD..VERY EASY TO LOOK AT WHILE YOU WERE SHOOTING, AND ESPECIALLY, YOU DID NOT DRAG OUT THE VIDEO SHOWING YOU PULLING THE TRIGGER...JUST EACH 3 SHOOT GROUP CONTINUALLY MOVING RIGHT ACROSS THE SHEETS...THE BEST VIDEO I'VE WATCHED ,EVER...FOR WORKING UP A LOAD JB

Been reloading alot of my 243 with an 8 lb keg of H4831sc. Only because when I started reloading H4350 was unobtanium. Mostly been using it for 90 grain ELDx - 103 grain ELDx and 100 grain generic SPBTs. Been very happy with my results using H4831sc. However I have finally been able to aquire a keg of H4350 and now will start using it for lighter bullits in my REM 700

Great job. Next step is to load up a bunch of rounds at 39.5 and shoot them again on various days in various weather conditions. If that combination continues to produce, then and only then will you be able to say you have a repeatable load. After almost 40 years of reloading im always amazed at how many people go out and shoot a "group" and call it good. I've had the 87 vmax shoot okay in some rifles but when it came to repeatability it often didn't hold up (as in your 40.0 grain group). After checking bullet run-out, i realized why. The run-out on this bullet was often double or triple that of other bullets which would often result in thrown groups. Just food for thought. Again great job!

I'm also having good luck with H4350 in my 6 CM . The first load i developed is a 115gr Berger with an SD of 3.6 , 2900fps and a 1" group at 300yd . I've been looking for load info in this 87g vmax . Thanks !

87gr Vmax alias The Doctor. Works great in most rifles.

What is your COAL? The MV your are getting at 39.5gr of H4350 is at least 250fps more than predicted by a simulation.
At 39.5gr the load is at OBT #5

I use the Hornady Ballistic calculator for this, it's good for that but not good in the field. I use Strelok in the field for dialing yardages. Thanks for watching i have more videos planned, stay tuned.

PA Wild I really enjoyed this ride with the 243 Winchester, looking forward to your fellow Up video with the 243 Winchester and the Remington SPS. Question is your SPS a 24 or a 26 inch barrel ? Thanks a lot

Its a 26" 1:10 twist. The 87gn Vmax is deadly accurate. Thanks for watching. 👍

The 87 Gr V Max is up next for load development in my Remington 770. The SPS will be my next Remington, that 26 inch barrel will get all the velocity that the 243 has to offer

Cracked necks! Not annealing enough. It’s that simple.
