Sam if I was you after watching the last video I would dig a few pot holes either side of the farm that would slow them down and let’s face it they would be there a long time before they got repaired!
The road probably looks fine for doing 40 mph. Your sign about kids isn't going to slow anyone who is just driving along a quiet country road. The kids need to be completely off the road unless cycling in the direction of traffic. Them playing around in circles is dangerous. Them being on the verge or off the actual road is not safe because kids can move off without thinking, putting themselves into any traffic.
@jimmyjohnstone5878 exactly to slow down when you see children. It's the farm ... we have to walk along side the road everyday to get to any sheds or yards. Only way is to slow folk up.😄😄
Sam a few tips for the putanges file the inside of the jaws of the trap stops the trigger from pinging out, tie the trigger to the trap else you’ll lose the triggers and push the trap up the tunnel and set on widest side of trigger unless you’ve got small runs and push the spring part in to ground when set to firm it up a bit. Some people pegg down but I don’t more stuff to carry around, replace sod as it came out
I've tied a short length of fishing line to the spring end of the trap and the square trigger. Stops the trigger being lost in the dirt and also keeps them together when hung up not needed.
I have always wondered how you cope with the road running through your place and thought that it was dangerous but for most of your videos there doesn’t seem to have been much through traffic because the road was closed, I would be inclined to get onto the council about reducing the speed limit and putting up proper signs . Ewes looking well! You might have gotten Oliver a beard trimmer but since he is charging the battery outside it is probably a battery spanner since they are the only thing that has a small battery like that, that I can think of, of course it could be a beard trimmer for those intimate places that young yuppies like Oliver keeps neat and tidy and he’s charging it outside to throw us off. We never use gloves and rub hands in soil. We've caught Hundreds like that.... every year with barrel. I no a mole catcher he's local and he dosnt back fill only tightens the sides of his Barrel amd he catches Hundreds. There's no right or wrong way jimmy .

I grew up on a farm surrounded by roads right next to a busy A road and there's no arguing, when you're driving in the countryside and see a farm, especially if the road goes through a farm, you slow right down and drive carefully past.

@Sam-shutt tunnel traps and talpex are the way forward your fingers are a bit safer with them. I have over a 100 traps out at the moment just hope the weather holds up.
Ask the Council to put up 30 or 20 mph signs like at schools though common sense should prevail when people see buildings …… always a smart **** around 🙄
They are good mole traps they use to be call the pocher trap as u can't see them when they are set I think they are a French use a sone fishing line to tie the trip part to the trap stop u from loosing them
Sam ye should put up a few warning signs yer self's saying there's kids at play here drive slowly we had to do it and it worked cause the council will never be bothered doing anything about it
They are very good mole traps you just need to be patient with them, there’s some very good RUclips videos on how to use them, by (old muddy gun, the moorland mole trapper)
there the only traps i use now the kill rate is spot on i tie the triggers with builders line has not to lose them a desert spoon is good for clearing the runs out and a metal pin to peg the traps down through the loop i make them out of welding rods after a bit of practice you will wonder why you used barrels good luck ;0

@ no problem 👍 I’ve recently purchased the high output versions of Milwaukee m12 range they give the tool a lot more power when using them I noticed it on my impact the most if you are just using it for electric ratchets stick with the 2.5 high output but if you are using it on a impact get the 5amp high output hope that helps.
@ search up high output 2.5 if you can’t find them look for the 5amp high output and make sure you are searching in m12 I baugt mine of off uk planet tools

I think you got Oliver a new battery charger for the tractor even though the other one was working. Very busy as always on the farm. Sam get the boots you make the content for the channel and you deserve something beautiful like yourself and buy them new as Oliver did not get you a present next year he might have learned his lesson. I'm sad Oliver did not get you a present because you work inside and outside and you work non stop. Please buy the boots it does not matter if you do not go out often but as you said you don't go out you don't buy new clothes for yourself and remember YOU DESERVE THEM. Re the mole traps You need to put a small piece of string on the square piece and tie it to the round circle on the trap! You have to poke the trap up the hole. Good luck,it’s a horrible job eh John
Also forgot to say you need to put a piece of fencing wire through the circle to peg them to the ground or the mole will take them up the hole and you will lose the trap 😊

We had a fellela attempting to overtake our land rover and trailer yesterday, only behind us for 30 seconds, on a tight road with cars coming towards us. I stopped to ask what he was playing at and point out the trailer was loaded, kids in the car, road isn't wide enough and it 8s the country side not the M6. Apparently it's a B road and that makes it okay to overtake. Common sense would say its to narrow here and there is 2 cars 140yds ahead.
I have driven down your road and also farm so not a novice. From your videos the road appears to be an extension of your yard handling system and playground and i often think that is an accident waiting to happen kids circling on their bikes cattle running across loadall crossing without looking. I understand you believe people should slow down but it is their right of way and any one of your videos could be evidence for insurers if a cow was to run out in front of a car and be hit for example. Sadly it isn't the 1950s anymore plus many drivers have dash cam
@ianmcgrath6493 we can hold the road up 20 min by law moving cattle and sheep. we stop traffic when we are moving stock.. we have to walk along side the road to get to the yards so there's no way round it. Cars slow down that's the whole job sorted. 👍the old road went down the side of the farm when they put the new road it they split the farm in 2. Farms a farm and we are blessed to be on a farm. We are insured for public we aren't insured for children being run over all because drivers drive to fast.

On the mole traps, tie the square wire loop to the main trap so you do not lose them if they go off in the tunnel.

Re the mole traps
You need to put a small piece of string on the square piece and tie it to the round circle on the trap!
You have to poke the trap up the hole.

Also forgot to say you need to put a piece of fencing wire through the circle to peg them to the ground or the mole will take them up the hole and you will lose the trap 😊

We had a fellela attempting to overtake our land rover and trailer yesterday, only behind us for 30 seconds, on a tight road with cars coming towards us.
I stopped to ask what he was playing at and point out the trailer was loaded, kids in the car, road isn't wide enough and it 8s the country side not the M6.
Apparently it's a B road and that makes it okay to overtake.
Common sense would say its to narrow here and there is 2 cars 140yds ahead.

I have driven down your road and also farm so not a novice. From your videos the road appears to be an extension of your yard handling system and playground and i often think that is an accident waiting to happen kids circling on their bikes cattle running across loadall crossing without looking. I understand you believe people should slow down but it is their right of way and any one of your videos could be evidence for insurers if a cow was to run out in front of a car and be hit for example. Sadly it isn't the 1950s anymore plus many drivers have dash cam
@ianmcgrath6493 we can hold the road up 20 min by law moving cattle and sheep. we stop traffic when we are moving stock.. we have to walk along side the road to get to the yards so there's no way round it. Cars slow down that's the whole job sorted. 👍the old road went down the side of the farm when they put the new road it they split the farm in 2. Farms a farm and we are blessed to be on a farm. We are insured for public we aren't insured for children being run over all because drivers drive to fast.
