Glyn, all right minded people will be wishing you all the best, you are an absolute bloody hero, what a crap Spring this has been. Better things soon surely.
I told Glynn that we always had a hairdryer in the shed to dry perished lambs , it is brilliant especially one with a turbo boost button .ah farmers what ever it takes wee will do .
I'm in cavan and put 5 kgs couples out thur morning as had no room left had to 2 back in grey crows attached one and the died in a couple hrs after. I never seen the like .not a word about the hardship and stress that sheep farmers and animals are going through not a word in the media just goes to prove in interest they have in country unless your inside the ring of the m50
@@kierancooney5663 aye whole handling , the weather is awful , I'm sure tomorrow morning will tell a bad tale , and your right no one cares , truth is people have enjoyed cheap food at the expense of farmers for too long .keep the chin up and hopefully things will improve .Good luck
Never saw the spring as bad if the weather doesnt improve soon i dont know what we will do,keep the chin up lads ye are tough out it surely cant rain forever
Farming performance around the country is setback with saturated soils. Price of food will go up. You three deserve medals for commitment to saving sheep in that weather. There appears to be extra rainfall coming down faster.
There is a war on farmers in Westwern countries, just as Covid was such an assault, driven by those that give our "leaders" their instructions. Wouldn't surprise us if this excessive rain had an artificial derivation. The technology exists. We are forced to wonder how those in power, who are so comfortable with evil, are so certain there will be no retribution.
I would add a U shape of 20 conifer trees or something in one of those fields and keep them topped a few meters tall to form a wind break for the future , a tarp across the top might just survive the wind ??
I farm near Dawson Creek BC Canada, we’ve been in drought for three years going on 4 now. I’m lambing now and worried there won’t be any grass this spring or hay for the winter. It is really something to see the amount of rain you guys are getting there. Best of luck to you guys with your farming.
Welcome back and as always your Dad is a big Star in the video and you guys bonded so well and I really appreciate and enjoy watching your lifestyle documentary video channel, keep it up and stay safe .. million thanks again and have a wonderful blessing weekend from Montreal QC Canada
Sending up my prayers for all the farmers and the animals. Hold steady and do your best. Be safe and know we are watching & praying for you all & for this bad weather to end real soon.❤🙏
Aw Lads tough tough times on ye!! And you’re still laughing .. Glynn , you must of had a fantastic childhood listening to your dad’s stories . .. really feel for ye though the government should be helping farmers out more .
The worst weather for lambing I imagine for all farmers everywhere. They must be devastated. There is a cost for removing each dead lamb/sheep which the public don't probably know about. Geoengineering at its worst.
That is really tough going Glyn theirs no f***ing end to this rain as I'm writing this it's the start of the storm and its pissing down here You're father is right when the going gets tough the tough get going Hoping you get trough this storm and it dosent do too much damage wish you the best with lambing a few rough day's ahead Looking forward to the next video
Better days are coming. Keep your chin up. I see all the hard work you and your team are doing. I am glad to see your work on the lambing sheds is paying off. Best wishes from BC Canada
Thats tough going Glynn weather is terrible here also, its bad when you see sheep poaching the fields but what can we do but keep going and hope for better weather.
Ah lads tis the worst winter in years strongly considering not lambing ewes next year after this.. pure hardship.. hope the storm doesn't come as bad as forecast.. Great videos..
Great effort to get these videos out guys with all the work going on bad weather can really add to the stress of the lambing time. Great that you show the good and bad side of farming very honest videos
Aww my heart❤ goes out to you Guys and I'll keep everything crossed 🤞👀🦵💪🦶 the weather gets better soon for you 🤗 Loving the hairdryer trick 👍 Wish you all a dry weekend ❤
Get those lambs some lammacs they keep them dry and prevent the wind chill. I used to use to them to good effect, they also seem to deter the foxes. You really are top notch when it comes to hygiene and good practice. It’s the attention to detail that makes the difference.I have never before heard of an Irishman who was too weak to drink. There’s a first time for everything! So glad you save the lamb on the bank. It’s ironic that Ireland gets to choose the name of this storm.
Glynn Thank God for the weather it’s something to talk about, do you find the hay bell good for feeding the sheep ; if we got as much dry weather as the wet weather we got in the last 12 months things would be a lot worse, keep the head up 👍
Sheep farmers in Ireland are all gamblers. They never have enough shelter for lambs when the weather is bad. They always blame the weather and not their own greed.
This is normal weather good Ireland and the UK during the winter months right past April. There is nothing unusual in this video. Except these boys seem to be making a drama out of everything.
Lots of challenges for raising sheep, as you know. Stay positive and know you are doing your best. No one else could do it, weather will pass and you will be enjoying the beautiful weather and all that your beautiful farmland has to offer. Stay safe and count your blessings. I am sure so many viewers wish they could help you with lambing.☘☘
have you many more of those gates for the pens? Make more pens in your walkways and in corners of other sheds where possible I'd say. A few in the gym too maybe 😂😂 Storm is coming!
Oh boys I feel for you. Farming would be great if it wasn’t for the weather. My Dad put a flock of fresh shorn ewes under our house verandah for the night when we had a cold storm coming in. He reckoned he gave them all a nip of brandy too but it was probably him that had a few nips haha. I hope things look up for you.
Weather crap here in Co Derry , hard to get young lambs our. HEY saw you Tepari system at the yard used in an advert for the handling unit in last week's Scottish Farmer magazine. Hope your getting royalty fees 😂😂😂. Good luck men ,I new the hair dryer tip would be taken up.

Great video again to the sheep shepherd team hopping this weather will pick up soon we still can't put out the dairy cows and the feed getting really scarce just wondering could you get a few calf hutches and put them out where the lambs could go into them from the rain just Tring to think of a way that you could keep the ones that are out to stay out
Hope things improve for you guys, going to be some awful knock ons from this years weather - we're not even going to bother drilling anything on the farm this year
Would it be possible to erect some kind of three sided shelters on the lee side of the hill? I am thinking setting up a couple of upright posts with a cross piece on a permanent basis in the lambing fields and then adding a sloping tarp... well pegged down... on the windy side just up during lambing time. It would give the ewes a protected place to rest their lambs on a night that is lashing it down.
Feel really bad for the little lambs freezing to death in the rain, can you not knock up a few small sheds in the fields to give them somewhere to get into and dry?? Im thinking like small 8'x8' garden sheds or something similar?? Woukd that not save them?
A lot of farmers will have to cut back on heard to pull trew this year due to bad ground condition and lack of feed no money to be made this year for sure it will leave big shortish of food products al round

There are no other words for this weather.
Does anyone else think that the rain is man made???
Absolutely it is, you only have to look to the sky. Its now every day.
People used to laugh at me when I told them this years ago!
100% it is..
It is indeed. And I'm seeing they're saying the potatoes might be affected now too. Intentional 🤔
100% it is.
All older outdoor workers should know this is FACT.
Theyve watched the spraying & ignored it.
Stay strong !!! Good luck 🥶from Norway

Oh goodness. Consider for next year putting up lean-to type shelters. They can be easily moved around and aren't very expensive to build. Good luck.
Does anyone know if there was a big field shelter would the sheep go under it ??
Best of luck, pray you get some good weather very soon. You're doing a great job but you must be knackered. 😴

This is the fourth sheep channel I've watched from different countries and it's fascinating to see the different methods each farmer uses.

It always has downpours in spring. This is an El Nino year so its slightly worse.Deals with it!!.
