- In this video, I'm taking you aboard KLM's latest World Business Class product on the Boeing 787-9 aircraft, flying from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam Schiphol.
Then, it's time to board KLM's strikingly-liveried plane and check out the Business Class seat, which offers a 1-2-1 layout with excellent privacy for solo travelers and couples. We'll take a close look at the seat's features, from the pop-out reading light to the 16-inch touch screen display that can be adjusted for easier viewing in flat bed mode.
During the flight, I'll give you a full tour of the amenities and service, from the Rituals bathroom products to the amenity kit and extensive menus. And of course, we'll talk about the in-flight entertainment, meal service, and drinks selection.
But that's not all - before boarding, I'll show you around Delta Sky Club, where I spent my 4-hour layover. You'll be amazed by its impressive design, multiple buffet areas, and even a terrace area with excellent views of the apron and runway.

KLM crews in all classes are cool , helpful and friendly . Its my current favourite transatlantic airline from Germany . I enjoyed their offering of Asian foods in their BIZ class . Their new Premium ECO is also amazing . Do a review ...when possible .

Was completely in line with my experiences during my intercontinental flights in KLM Business Class. Even after a 14 hours flight, still fresh and fruity. )) The only thing I had to get used to was the personal approach like "Good afternoon, Mr Broekhuisen". Felt a bit uncomfortable the first time. But an absolute 10 for the experience.

I wasn't hungry when I started watching this video.... Great stuff. This was what I booked when I went to Bonaire but I ended up on a 777... Looked like a great experience. I think I may have to try KLM again... My blue house (#17) is looking lonely on its own on my shelf...
Thanks Matt! Yes, think SLC and Delhi are two regular routes for the 787. KLM certainly surprised with the food - would go for them once again and even better with the points earning with Virgin being in SkyTeam!

great (seat and catering) except for the pre-dinner nuts, not served in a small porcelan cup but in a small plastic bag!!! thats economy service alas. so KLM should improve its service yet a bit! Hope they got the cabin upgrade soon with more privacy doors!
Delicious-looking and varied breakfast; BA could learn something. Think I’ll go out of my way to try KLM on my next transatlantic.
Yes certainly! You’ve got the extra connecting flight but with the transatlantic joint venture you could mix and match your flights with Air France, Delta or Virgin to try some other airlines too!

Hi Peter - I’m about 188, and it was about enough - do I suspect 200 will be a bit of a squeeze. That being said, I suspect almost all Business Class will be a bit tight unfortunately

Hi @replicas11 (sorry couldn't see your name!) - not sure on your dates, but I checked a random date and at the moment I think it is the same seat on Bangkok - Amsterdam. The best way to check is to go to the seat selector on your booking, and see if the layout is in 1-2-1 (i.e. 1 seat on window, 2 in the middle, 1 on the right window) or 2-2-2.
The one caveat is that airlines can change the plane type...so it is never guaranteed what kind of seat you will get on with airlines that have more than one seat type.
As for Amsterdam to UK (not sure which airport), most flights to non-Heathrow destinations use KLM Cityhopper with Embraer aircraft. These are 2-2 layout (same as Economy) but with Business class service but no blocked middle seat - of course the flight is very short so it's not a big issue. When flying to Heathrow, KLM use a mix of Cityhopper Embraers and KLM 'proper' Boeing 737 aircraft - these have 3-3 layout but with a blocked middle seat.

Seems good, does KLM have same Business class on flights to India and Canada?
I am not sure, sorry. KLM have two main types of seats - this one with all seats having aisle access and their other one where window passengers have to climb over the passenger next to them to get out (2-2-2 configuration). The latter is more commonplace…unfortunately
KLM changes their equipment seasonally and even last minute. They have flown all 777, a330 and 787 into Toronto within the last 6 months. While 1-2-1 is preferred, I have tried 2-2-2 last year and it was still a very comfortable journey.
KLM business - anyone know which model# plane - where the business seats dont have individual air conditioning vents? I sw a video here that it can get hot during flight .....

Sorry, but the food looks terrible, almost like in Economy. Not worth any Euro. Also the service and motivation of the grumpy and old FAs went down a lot in the last 3 years. When I already hear this unemotional announcenent of the female purser in the background of your video I get angry! I do fly KLM a lot and I don't expect anything anymore, instead of a terrible flight. People who like this reduced service, compared to other european carriers, lost control of their life...
