You just listed 3 of the most overpriced, overhyped, and overrated bathtub vodkas on the planet. Try REYKA, NEMIROV, KHORTYTSA or even RUSSKI STANDARD. The French make good Cognac & wine, but not vodka.
Wish you’d included a potato vodka. I’m more interested in whether you could differentiate a potato vodka from grain than whether it’s totally obvious that Grey Goose is overpriced and you’re paying for a label
I'm more of a beer drinker, but my go to vodka is Taaka. You can get a 1.75ml for probably 12 bucks, maybe 10 if it's on sale. I was pleasantly surprised by the Skoll raspberry. While it was only 60 proof, it cost $5 for a 750. Wasn't cloyingly sweet. Resembled raspberry.
I generally drink Tito's when I drink vodka but it has been a while since I got a bottle of my fav vodka, Finlandia. Back when a friend and I got laid off from work the same week, we both got half gallon plastic bottles of Skol. It did the job.
I work in a state controlled liquor state liquor store that sells tons of vodka but we don't carry SKOL anywhere in the state. I would imagine that it is basically like Zhenka tho?
Personally, for me, Rain Vodka is the best in terms of cocktail mixing and smooth drinkability. Yes it's price point is marginally higher though a better overall product. Belvedere would be my absolute in terms of pure taste as a stand-alone.
@@liquorstore352 Can't any liquor made from water and agricultural ethanol can be classified as vodka? Rain is distilled exclusively from organic white corn. So it'd be processed and using organic sugar to, I'd assume. That or a product like fine-grained glucose syrup made from the organic white corn. Organic sugar is any kind of sugar that has been produced from organically grown sugarcane or sugar beet, from my understanding, and corn may also fall into that category. And as for, the term organic refers to the farming practices, not the manufacturing process. Yet, organic sugar must be completely separated from conventional sugar during manufacturing. Alas, looking at Rain's nutrition facts it does indeed say 2g Sugar and guess any sugar at all makes it to where it can't be labeled as Vodka, correct? Yet in this very video you are drinking Skol which according to your very title defines it as a Vodka. So I'm genuinely sorry if I've got some generalized confusion. I'm not trying to make waves or anything but genuinely desire to learn these things as I profoundly find them interesting, all while not having the wrong information and potentially spreading it misinforming others. I'm watching from Germany, i've never seen Skol or Tito's here, but it's interesting that everywhere there is that super cheap, you just buy it to get drunk cheap product, like you mentioned with Skol, in every category, even if it's a different brand. The most obvious one for me would be beer, other Europeans might be able to relate, when i was 16-17 (drinking age here for beer and wine) and broke, we bought huge 1L cans of Faxe beer with a huge goofy ass viking picture on it. It is the most awful tasting beer humanity has ever produced and if you see someone drinking it you know they are down BAD. For cheap vodka we just have Gorbatschow and Smirnoff. Anyways i really enjoy the content guys, cheers
A vodka i really enjoy neat is zubrowski or bison grass idk how to say it but it has a shard of grass inside which flavours the vodka and its such a unique flavour that is produced
Personally, not a huge fan of Tito's. IDK why, maybe it's subliminal from the packaging, but it always tastes metallic/coppery to me. My FAVORITE vodka is (was? not sure if it's still made) Blue Heron. Also have a soft spot for Absolute. But honestly I don't drink much vodka anymore.
Next test, different price points of simillar spirits in coctail application. Is it worth to pay few bucks more on more expensive liquor if you're going to mix it with soft drinks, sugar etc.
