      @@saeedsharif I re-watch the previous tutorial "How to Write the Background of a Study in a Research Paper: A Step-by-Step Guide". I find out that the third part is the Context of the study. However, i am a bit confusing with the Problem Statement. Where should we present Problem Statement in our write-up?

    • @saeedsharif
      @saeedsharif  Год назад

      @@anitalow3628 Thank you for your question. In the background of the study we briefly mention about the context of the study. However, what I explained in this video is what you need to cover in a section specifically on the context of the study which can be included in the introduction section of your research work or research paper. Indeed, this information is presented in different ways in different parts of the thesis or research paper. I understand that you may think it is repetitive. However, in the end, many sections of your research report, thesis, or paper are linked together and can't be totally independent from each other. :)
      My next 2 videos are about the contributions of the study and problem statement :) I have a formula to write the problem statement which has helped many researchers and students to write strong problem statements! Stay tuned!

      Hi Lydia,
      Thank you for watching my videos. I'm glad you found them valuable. It totally depends on the topic of your research and what statistics you want to provide. However, generally, when it comes to finding statistics, there are several reliable websites that provide a wide range of statistical data. Here are a few recommended websites to explore:
      World Bank Data (data.worldbank.org): Offers a vast collection of global development data and statistics.
      United Nations Data (data.un.org): Provides access to a wide range of United Nations statistical databases and publications.
      Statista (www.statista.com): Offers extensive statistics and market research data on various topics.
      Our World in Data (ourworldindata.org): Focuses on global trends, statistics, and research on a wide range of subjects.
      Data.gov (www.data.gov): The official U.S. government's open data source, providing access to a wide range of datasets.

      Thank you for your great question! This is actually the topic of one of my next 3 videos. Generally, you need to start by reviewing the work that has already been done. Afterward, discuss the limitations of the past works and demonstrate how your own work aims to address those limitations. Also, explain how this new social/political/organisational context is unique and how replicating the study in this new context contributes to the literature. Hello professor, I found it difficult to do my study, my supervisor advised me to input the contextual information in the literature review, but I watched your video and read your paper, and you placed the context information in the introduction section.

    • @saeedsharif
      @saeedsharif  Год назад +1

      Hi Adm Pum,
      Thank you for your question. There are various formats and styles for writing a thesis or paper. The common practice is to provide an introduction section that includes the context of the study. However, this may vary depending on the specific format you are following. In my own experience with my PhD thesis, I dedicated a separate chapter to discussing the context of the study because it was an important component of my research. I recommend carefully considering where it would be most appropriate to discuss the context of your study and then discussing this idea with your supervisor for further guidance. By the way, could you please share the field of your study?

      Thank your for your respond professor. My field study is on One-Health Rabies Prevention and Control. In this study I would like to know how to build a suitable collaboration/coordination mechanism between stakeholders in local government who involved in the rabies one health team with the problem is they have lack of collaboration. In this study I will use the theoretical framework of "Governance Collaboration". My supervisor suggest me to include the STUDY CONTEXT about policy/regulation to know the governance arrangement in One-Health Rabies. In addition, he advice to include this information after theoretical framework, and will guide me to develop the conceptual framework of the study. Anyway I will use qualitative study. Therefore, the objectives are. 1. Identify stakeholders role in one health team, 2. Understand their collaboration, 3. Identify barriers and opportunity. How do you think?
