the braces allow up and down movement for bumps and uneven road but stiffen the car laterally for cornering. its suppose to retain the comfort of not having a stiff chassis while being stiff in the turns.

A pillow ball is sandwiched in the V bar which is connected to the front strut and the bulkhead to effectively utilize the bending of the chassis. As a result, this part improves steering responsiveness, providing nimble handling from the normal range at the start of steering to the limit zone.
In addition, while ensuring the rigidity required in the chassis, this product moderately removes external pressure such as road gaps, and flexibly diverts vibrations.
This can be easily installed by simply replacing the standard V bar.
And also work with rear flex draw Stiffener bar. So that means must install front and back.
BTW all parts are Japanese DOT approved and follow DOT laws. May odd to you but according to Subaru it’s all aero parts are functional.
I think it is nice, but for the $4K… not worth IMO. I’d take the magnetic keyhole covers tho, those are actually kinda nice lol! Can’t wait for the build!!

I'm really not feeling the exterior aero pieces. I'd go for that push start button and nothing else tbh. Streethunter part are no doubt going to be legit though.
the shift knob and the engine mods (except that sti sticker on the coolant cap or what that was) looks pretty cool too tho
i think it would look a lot better if everything was paint matched. sti didnt really have black exterior parts back then 🤷🏾♂️

Its not just broke people avoiding subies, its people who know theyre going to get better performance for less money, oem or aftermarket in different platforms. Not blowing your bank to only make 400hp is also a wise financial decision.

Although the subtle effects of the STI kit are cool, a STREETHUNTER DESIGN kit would be insane. Stage I being mello, and stage II being “mello-dramatic”, and maybe a stage III that’s off the richter scale.
Feels like a throwback and I love it. I can't wait for summer weather to return here so we can do some installs outside in the sun.

So here’s some info
The only truly “jdm” piece there is the fender vent add on, which is not offered in America. American fender piece is a little slit that costs $150
ALL the other pieces are offered as options for USDM vehicles. They just were not available right away when you placed your order.
If you ordered your brz around December if 2021, you should have had an option to add those aero bits into your order for all USDM orders.
Regarding the strut tower bar things. They’re actually supposed to be softer than the original. It’s to provide a more comfortable ride while keeping the same performance… at least that’s what Subaru says about them.
I'm pretty sure there was a swan neck wing as well, that's not available here. At least I saw one that had one on the car, but it was just a picture
@@joshdec.1712 the swan neck/gt wing that TJ mentioned is a Japan only option. it's about $4k before shipping
STi offers the flexi-joints in all of their modern suspension parts now. They supposedly offer 99% of the rigidity while offering less NVh.
Key factor is the nvh.
@@BlueHokage You got it. It is also supposed to be easier to install. For pretty much everyone the initial reaction is that it is a counterintuitive design but once the ends are in a fixed position, the tension effect is essentially the same

I think the exterior side parts would look better if they were color matched. They seem to stand out just a bit much.
Only the rear extensions would look better paint matched

A lot of times with the OEM body parts with holes is sometimes they give a hole and you have to drill it and put a push clip in yourself. Even PDI'ing cars with factory mud flaps, a lot of times the mud flaps would have holes that were left empty.
PDI’ing cars sucks when you have to do shit like that lol

I really can't get on board with the BRZ or the 86. The customized ones from Tokyo Auto Salon look incredible, but as a stock car it's incredibly bland.
I'm looking forward to seeing what Streethunter does with it. I wonder if it's possible to do an STi 2.5 Turbo Boxer motor swap.
I honestly would leave it almost stock aesthetically other than a slight drop and different wheels.

Not a fan of the bigger parts, but I do like the fender vent add-on and the sti start button.
Um guys. The strut braces got rigid after bolting them in because both halves had 2 bolts so they would've been stiff if you had cut off the other half. Subaru has some explaining to do. That makes zero sense
well it depends what they were planning to do with the part. I've read in the comments that they are supposed to make it abit more flexible, which would then mean that they make sense.
Even if you bolt a part twice them having flex should still allow some bend.

As an STI owner and long time Subaru rally fan, Subaru has SERIOUSLY gave enthusiasts the finger in so many ways! The new BRZ is really cool, but come on Subaru, go big! Too bad there’s not much money in enthusiast cars, people buy CUV’s and EV’s

I always liked how these cars have the diff and trans lined up straight, and not at a angle like most cars. A lighter driveshaft would be one of my first upgrades, and it's a legal mod, weight reduction, more power to wheels, shouldn't void a warranty. TJ's rich, he can afford a carbon fiber driveshaft.

Flexible v-bar is designed to work with chassis movement. 100% rigidity doesn't = performance in regard to this part.

The markings underneath the front bumper are used for reference with the templates and not the actual location of where the holes should be drilled! It only a slight difference but it sticks the lip out a couple more mm
