Nice press and great attention to detail. As for the Safety Sallies, in a few years their kids will still be in the house playing video games while your daughter will be working along side you in your shop!
An apprentice lol...this is gorgeous I've just started to make books so this was very interesting for me...I made my own press very small and nothing like yours but I'm happy...since I only do journals and make pads of paper it was easy to make.
Very cool press , I made one fifteen years ago for kydex pistol holders but not that nice as yours . Mine works great , will be using it for knives in a few months to finish out my 11 knives I started three years ago , had some medical issues to deal with , nice to see you trying to teach your daughter what it like to make something with your hands . Years ago real men used their hands to earn a living, computers are good but to make something without a computer is a real gift , nice job , enjoy your daughter they grow up fast !
Love your sense of humour subbed & liked, you are setting the bar very high for any boy how dates your girl in years to come she will say hay I was cutting dovetails by the time I was 5 dude!!! 👍🏼 thanks for sharing
This is AWESOME. I would love one. And ignore people, they all think they know everything and they don't. At least you spend valuable time with your daughter and she's learning wood working and will be an excellent builder one day😆. You should sell some🤷.
Bit late to the party here. Amazing project! Also a bit tired of the safety police. If they could have their way there would be no adults, no making of anything. Padded rooms and helmets for everyone! Thanks for making and sharing great content!
Awesome project! I would love to learn how to make kydex holsters. Can I come over and use your press? Your press should do a much better job that the presses that are hinged on one edge and clamped on the opposite side.
Of course. I've used that kind before too. I made one a few years ago and they work okay. I've always wanted to build one like this because of the parallel clamping.
Watchin this like "So cool, what a great project. AHH A BABY BY SHARP THINGS. It's ok it's ok it's ok it's ok... Cool technique! SKATEBOARDING WITH SHARP THINGS?!? BABY BY SHARP THINGS?!? It's okaaayyyyyyy." Then I remembered to take my meds. Thank you.
It didn’t take long to realize this project is way beyond my skill level. But it was so fun to watch, I stayed. Great job.

Love that you have your daughter in the shop with you. This was four years ago, so she's probably building her own toy boxes by now! 😁
Cherish all the moments you can with the little one. Because tomorrow she will be graduating high school.
LOVE that your daughter is hanging out with you. Good parenting my friend - you're doing it right.
Shes adorable. I'm glad your showing her all these projects and nice job on the press.

Nice! I really want to make a journal at some point. I havn't figured out how yet
Love the ball hitch weights...and the split washer attaching the foot-plate is ingenious...Solid job!...now bend some kydex.
Just did actually. New video friday

Nice upload... well explained...and an adorable apprentice! Thank you.
great project, great video, beautiful daughter, thanks for calling out the idiots! subbed!
You could incorporate a sealed thrust bearing for smooth operation and increased downward force.
Flat Banana!! That's the name of my Zombie's Cover Band. Great build and a very cute shop foreman you have there.
Adorable shop helpers are an essential for every project.
How about a book binding holder clamp like the one that hold the unbound leaves or sections so they can be cut/shived even.

You're a good dad!🎉
GREAT video! Very informative and entertaining!
Picked up some good tips as I'm thinking of making one, thanks.
nice but where did you get the large screw elements and where would i get one?
There is a link in the description to one you can buy. I got mine from Home Depot I think. It's a scaffolding leveling leg
Nice job!
I recognize your sense of humor, "It looks a little bit like this!"
Great press!
What a good helper you have.
How about a bit of both? A leather bound book!
Yes. I agree. If I do bind a book it will probably be in leather
It's time to move on to fine work and create a professional calligrapher's workplace.😎

I was wondering if you would make a video of doing a wood stock for a rifle out of a log🤷🏼♂️😭
"and then the babAPPRENTICE wanted to help"
Me as an apprentice "ouch"
Does this still hold up well?
It does! Nothing's broke yet
