Happy New Year! Thank you to all subscribers, both old and new, for supporting my channel and following along on my adventures. 2025 will see me venturing to new places and new content, I am sure you will enjoy it! - Mike
I enjoyed the video, and heat shielding around the combustible wall's would be an asset, also a smoke and carbon monoxide detector is a must for an overnighter.
I, too, just endured an E. coli infection. Thank You, and enjoy your campout in your woodland. It will be sweet when the little ones can enjoy the camp, too.
You are such a smashing lad. I’ve watched you for years from before your children arrived and I’m so pleased you’ve got your shed sorted. You so deserve to get on. Happy New Year.💕
Thank you for the lovely visit! Also, it's great to see the new products. I like the faucet/pump/light with a 🧲. The wee stove/oven works a treat! Good to see your father again. Mercy, but he is a hard worker! My grandfather put the porch windows in with the hinges at the top on the inside. There was a hook at the inside bottom of the window, and it was pulled open from the inside, lifting it to the ceiling where there was an eye for the hook to go through. There were screens across it to keep out the bugs, bats, birds of prey, marauders, and pirates. I'm glad that you are spending more time with your family. My parents took us camping in the wilderness areas of Minnesota and Canada. My brother was born in January, and in June, he's was on his first camping trip in the Boundry Waters! We traveled in a canoe. Happy New Year to you and your family and your viewers!
Thank you for sharing this nice video with everyone this is the last day, the last few hours of 2024 Here on the other side of the pond wishing you, your father, and Jack a fun-filled New Year's with many more great adventures to come thank you, Mike
Great video to end the year!! Family is Everything, thanks for being an awesome Dad, and husband .That speaks volumes about how you were raised. Great parenting skills. You could do fold down table in your cabin and even fold down bunks on the wall. Love the kitchenette!! 😊🎉
I've had thought to make one of these, much the same. I like the idea of planting holly saplings around the cabin, and shrubbing them thick as insulation and to add cover. After 3-4 seasons it would be very private around the cabin, and warmer inside probably.
Happy New Year everyone!! Years ago in the early 90's I had a Bedford CF Ambulance camper that I converted. We found that the best insulator for the gas bottle wood burner I had made, was using steel plating with a 1 inch air gap between the plating and the wall. Maybe you could do this yourself! I am in my early 60's now and really don't relish camping anymore so a small cabin in a wood would be perfect for me and the Mrs. I look forward to seeing what else you do to this wonderful tiny house/workshop. And now, you even have a pit to poo in, nice one.....
Good video. You can get 3 cookie pans and screw them on the side and back wall to absorb the heat. They should be about an 1 " deep and attached upside down. Nice cabin ( work shop )
Really enjoyed this last video of 2024. Very impressed with the upgrades to your "storage shed" 😉 Looking forward to next year's content. And you are smart to prioritize time with your kids. They grow up too fast. Happy New Year!!!
Happy New Year Mike, and thank you for a full year of great content, keep it coming!!! And as always "family first", enjoy your time with the little ones they grow up so fast! We miss living in the UK, we spent 9 years in the UK while I was in the USAF!
Loved the new additions to the cabin. A great informative watch as always. Good to hear you put family first 🥰 Love how your dad always supports your journey plus he's such a grafter! Blessings to you both & Happy New Year 🎉
Happy New Year to you and your family. Your videos are always good, you don't need to change too much. I was lucky enough to spend lots of time with my kids when they were young, I just wish I'd spent even more time with them.
Never apologize for prioritizing family over all other things. You're a husband and father first. We will patiently wait for whatever you post. Family always comes first. Be happy and safe, and Happy New Year to you and yours. God bless you and your family....and Jax, as he's a SWEET BOY!!!!!
Iv was going to get someone else to build and install the kitchen on my narrowboat but your build videos are giving me a lot of confidence to be able to try it myself 😊😊 thank you
Watching your vids always brings a smile to my face and motivates me to do something like this myself. Keep doing what you do best and happy new year to you too ⭐
God bless you and your family abundantly through this new year ahead. It's a joy to watch your videos, learn wonderful techniques that I can apply in my home as well as outdoors, and be encouraged by your honesty, humility, and ingenuity.
28:17 some of the best times in my life nappened in my little cabin in the mountains. Lovely memories of having very little things and distractions, but plenty of the feeling of being alive.
I have one of that make of stoves. After about twenty burns, it was sooting up the glass and the smoke wasn't flowing too well. I cleaned the glass and checked the flue pipes. The build up of soot in the pipes after such a short time scared me, there was only about a 1/2 inch clearance within the pipe. I'd used seasoned dry timber. I like the stove and I'll be using it again, but I'll be checking the pipe work very, very regulary. All the best, like your vids.
Hi Mike, I just love what you did with this little cabin. I've been pondering around the idea of building one in my backyard. I have taken your ideas and plan to use them once I'm able to start building. Cheers to you and yours and happy new year!!
I'm glad that you made it through that horrible incident! You look good and strong, and I hope you keep well! Happy New Year to you and your dad, TA Fishing, and whole family!
That is a great shelter. I would have made it a little larger. It's great that you build it with your dad.🎉 The stove is just wonderful thank you for your time and efforts!
Ecoli is no joke. I had it a few years back thought it was just a dose of the shites and shakes. Nearly finished me off. Every time I felt I was turning a corner it hit me again. Wasn’t right for WEEKS
Great video 👍 I don't remember watching the original where you built it so now I have to go back and find it. Looking forward to the finished cabin, happy New Year!
For a very small amount of money you can get a 55 gallon drum and a piece of gutter to catch rain water. Maybe not potable but fairly easy to filter with a sawyer type filter. Not having to carry water is priceless.
Hey Mike. Cabin looks ace! Top tip about the wood burner. The glass will get Smokey and possibly burnt over time (due to damp wood) the best way to clean the stubborn soot is use the ash that you have already have. Use wet cloth/tissue with a bit of washing up liquid on the glass. Dip this into the ash then gently clean. I use this method at home on my log burner. If you didn’t already know this and want to mention it on your next video please give me a shout out? All the very best for 2025 🏕️🍂🍁🔪🪚
I had a camp for @20 years that had similar woodchip plywood inside. A coat of varnish sealed it and absorbed a lot better than paint. We screwed hooks into it to hold tools, fishing rods, clothing etc. Cheers from New Orleans
24:59 I'd consider installing a pullman bed in there. That way you can fold it up against the wall when you're not using it. Plus you could install some sort of shelving on the bottom (for nails, screws, and whatnot) so that when it is put away, the space is still made useful by being storage for small items. And since you're between the wall and your kitchenette, you could install a 1x2 on the kitchenette wall as a ledge for the pullman to rest on, then you'd just need one leg for the foot of the bed.
Loved this video! I don't know why but it reminded me of our weekends at our caravan in the Wyre forest, Bewdley in the 60s and 70s. I was so blessed to have those weekends in the countryside, and we would often in the summer jaunt into Wales and hit a beach if we were spending my parents annual break at 'the Van'. Spending time with your little'uns is something you will NEVER regret. God bless you, best wishes for 2025.
Happy New Year Mike! I just found your channel this year, but have gone back and watched older videos. Time with your family is important…and you can’t make it up once the time is gone. And trust me, the kids are grown and gone in a blink of an eye! I’ll be 60 in March and cannot believe I have a 40 and 36 year old boys! I’m also a widow, but I don’t want to intrude on my boys’s families too much. So I find a lot of time on my hands. Both of my parents are also gone. Spend as much time with your family making awesome memories to last a lifetime, cause the time will come when all you have are the memories. Looking forward to see what you do in 2025.
What a sweet space you’ve created! I love it! Wishing you and your family a very healthy, happy, prosperous New Year! Looking forward to the coming year and watching you and Jaxx on your future adventures! He obviously is in love with you! Take care and stay safe! Thank you for all your hard work. You’re such a pleasure to watch. Kindest regards to your family. 😊🎉❤
Love the stove!! A great work space and certainly a decent space to spend a night or two if you don't want to pack up and drive home each day. Great video. Happy New Year 2025! 🎉
coming along nicely that cabin. Appreciate the content and dont feel a need to keep the same pace you once have esp with young kids. Any content is free and great content so its all welcome no matter how much. Just dont go away forever ;). Happy new year.
Nice set up all around. I'm sure you've thought of this, but I would get / make a little cover for your sink. Helps your work surface and keeps from various debris getting into your sink.
You definitely look like your over that infection thank God, hope your family is doing well, I pop in to see your Dad on TA Fishing as well, Happy New Year
Happy New Year to you Mike and to your family! I enjoy watching your woodland life videos. Your "tool shed" (it's a really nice little cabin imo) is awesome. Looking forward to watch your 2025 videos and to follow you along on your adventures. BTW... Jax 🐶made me laugh out loud when helping with the outhouse hole! 🤗
Nice video Mike & Jaxx's 👍👍. The new wood stove plus the water system is a , fantastic addition to the cabin 😊. So did Jaxx's sleep on the camping bed all night with you, as a pillow 🤣🤣. What are you going to us as a heat relaxer, around the wood stove. As there are so many options to choose from. Where you had to remove the insulation for the wood stove flu , you could of put some rockwool in. As that is heat resistant & , flame resistant.
Thank you for this video I am praying for a better year for 2025?Love your building and creativity and your Dad whom is a really great person. HAPPY NEW YEARS TO YOU TOO..
Happy new year to you and your family, Mike. I hope this 2025 brings you closer to your projects. Thank you for all the great info and entertaining videos you've put out for us during these years, and for many more. Best wishes.
Happy New year. She'd looks great. Looks like a great stove. I would stick to 10 litres of water bottles, 20 is a lot harder to carry at least with 10 one in Backpack and one at the front.
Another great video, glad there was no food or recording issues this time that must have been devastating… the cabin looks great I like it, I agree with the paint idea but besides that the cabin is perfect, smashed it mate… hope u and the family have a great new year.🎉

Happy New Year Mark
HAPPY NEW YEAR MATE!!
I applaud you for making family first. Your videos are great. Keep 'em coming.
Happy new year
That tail never stops wagging. Bless that dog.
Lucky it's not a squirrel
I enjoyed the video, and heat shielding around the combustible wall's would be an asset, also a smoke and carbon monoxide detector is a must for an overnighter.
Cement backer board like they use for tile is great behind a stove. It's easy to source and not incredibly expensive.
This, plus a 12mm air gap behind the hardbacker. Also, please get a CO alarm mounted!
This this this. You can also tack some thin sheet metal to it to reflect some of the heat back. Don't burn your cabin down!!!
He has one, you can see it on the worktop@@1TSRyan
Careful flicking water off your hands when you have a fire going. Explosive glass won't be fun.
Being in a small place like that helps to appreciate the basic things in life. Happy new year.
I just love your dog. So loyal and sweet. Oh, and your cabin is great too!!
Id only love to have my father around to do all of these projects with, enjoy every minute of your time with him
I, too, just endured an E. coli infection. Thank You, and enjoy your campout in your woodland. It will be sweet when the little ones can enjoy the camp, too.

Hi mike, in ireland heat resistant pipe shrouds are orange. Not sure about u.k. should check this out for your safety
Great to see you back in the cabin Mike. I always enjoy seeing your kindness to Jax
Happy New Year Mike and Your Family and Thank you
That tap is great, the magnetic idea is SO cool! Easy to remove if you need extra space on the worktop for something.
I'm looking forward to more woodland management projects. One in particular is the hazel hedge between your woodland and the feild
French dude here, you are an inspiration to me. And your content is useful to me on a technical base. Keep up the good work!
Ur fine - family always comes first - u just keep being u and I'll keep watching you - Thank for the adventures 👌🤓

Exactly.. especially with a fixed structure.
Using UK measurements, the standard drum is 44 gallons, close enoungh to 55 US gallons.
Awesome and outstanding content as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along.

Happy New Year, to you and your entire family!
Would be cool to add a water tank to the left hand side of the stove and a pipe that runs to that new tap, hot water! Great set up, great vid.
Happy New Year Mike,
Great to be back outdoors again 🐾
Good afternoon Mike. I hope you had a merry Christmas and I hope you and yours have a awesome new year. Stay safe and have fun.

Good priorities with your family. God bless one and all. George from Victoria, Canada.
That Pomoly stove looks great! I like the features. ❤

Jax in his little coat looks a proper lad! 😄 Cracking little build, mate. Looking forward to seeing more!
