I recently signed up to dash. What do you recommend to be successful doing this?
I accept like 8 in a row to gain 1%, but I lose 1% with every decline. I got up to 67% today and with 3 minutes left on my scheduled day they sent me a 12.5 mile Dollar Tree (15 items) offer 3 times in a row before my dash ended. Back down to 64%.

Thats what happened to me. They are making it harder to get to those goals. I called them and basically called them out on it. After that it has been going up. Maybe give them a call. State your grievances, but just be professional about it.
Because the system is stacked against drivers.

I’m top dasher with my AR usually always around 80%. I’m in Fort Smith, Arkansas. For the most part I get good orders and if I get any bad ones I’ll just take 1 then the good ones will start coming again. On a Saturday night starting at about 3pm and going to about 2am, I’ll make $300 easy. Never do earn by time. Never willZ
The way I do it is I cherry pick until I get down to 70%. Then I take almost everything and run it back up. Saves you from having to work as hard to get and stay at the top status

This channel is a big help with door dashing for sure. I live in Boardman Ohio (near Youngstown) and normally I don't take anything less than $6 HR and usually I'll get two deliveries per hour. During lunch 11am to 1pm and dinner 5pm to 7pm I can usually get three delivery per hour. And I usually don't drive more than $1 per 1 mile away. I was up to 70% AR. It wasn't bad. I definitely was getting some nice deliveries but I wasn't making $30-$40 per hour. Plus it was hard to maintain my AR. One of the main reasons for not continuing with the high AR was because that method was putting me into bad areas at bad times of the day. Not to sound ignorant but that is a thing. I had two pitbulls come at me before among other minor things. Just trying to help...
That's the main reason it's going to be virtually impossible for me to get my AR to 50%, bad areas, namely bad roads and dogs. I live in an area with lots of rural deliveries, and people let their dogs run lose. It's not always the customers dogs, but their neighbor's dogs on the customers property. I got my jeans ripped by a dog, and had a pitbull softly put it's mouth on my leg. I just avoid any areas I deem dangerous. Muddy and potholed roads and driveways are another thing I try to avoid altogether. It's dangerous for new dashers here, they have no idea what they are getting into. A lot of them have no idea how some people live around here.
I'm gold status still orders under 5 but I do get good to Decent orders most of the time
Where I live, NO ONE tips. (Except for the rich people. And it’s usually like $9)

Drove 20 kms for a burger King order to a rich area. Huge new updated house. Guy tips $2.00. Customers should be flagged.
Day 5 swap to per order. If you’re by time you will not benefit from silver status and it avoids the pain of restarting. You got this 🎉
Yes add-ons affect your acceptance rate. The additional order in a stacked order does not, but add ons do👍
Bro I hate if you decline the add-ons it temporarily affects your completion rate. Like why are they trying to intimate you for not taking every order they offer you.
Make sure you got cash order enabled cuz you can accept it and right after it tells you, you might need to bring change and if you dont you can drop it with out it negatively effecting you AR so basically i will increasingly it when except it and then lets you drop it with out it dropping i got 3% doing this today
No schedule no problem. Just pick a area where u r not at and choose dash along the way, as soon as u are close to that zone the orders will start coming. Ive never scheduled, always full unless u schedule 1 day ahead
Dude, I raised my rate to 75% and still struggling to get dashes. And Im taking everything. All my other ratings are above average, but its either super slow or they are giving other dashers who have a higher acceptance rate a priority to dash🤷🏻♂️
This happens every spring, nice weather after a cold winter.
How do you keep track of your deliveries to make sure you are not missing payments?

Its just an algorithim is all, its not designed to ''care'' is what humans dont understand. Everyday a driver falls out or quits and a new driver starts. Think and use your mind!!!

I live near San diego, and I get no tip orders, so often that you don't want to do it anymore
It would be interesting if you did a video on pay by time in California .The reason we say this is we don't think that pay by time makes sense here since on Monday morning drivers here are given a pay adjustment due to a mandate from the state.
Pay by time in Austin, TX is 10.50 without peak pay.
I'm more interested to see how much earn per offer orders pay after clocking 50% AR......should be a good thing to see if it's worth it.
I'm in CA, and can't find any info about silver or gold status. My AR is 88% and I recieve "high priority" with a diamond offers, but i don't worry too much about what i accept because CA has a "minimum wage". If I i didn't accept a good amount of low paying offers, i wouldn't get much at all in my area.
I've noticed that since this started in the Erie Pennsylvania market that my dashes have gone up about 50 to 60% in payment since I achieved platinum. If I had the estimate it jump from about 17 an hour to over 30.
I have been platinum consistently for weeks now, but I can't schedule Queens in NYC for over a week now... it says that scheduling resets at 3pm. But when I try, Queens doesn't even show for next 6th day. Dunno what to do...T.T

haven't been able to log in Queens a usual. Bonus only applies to Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn n Queens.

Dashed today for.first time.. 3 hrs / active 2 1/2 hrs.. made $54... it was kinda fun. Keep routes close by. And did 2 pizza delivery and made $12 on one of.the pizza deliveries ($154.00 order)..drove 38 miles total.working on increasing that $ per mile.

I’d like to see how many platinum dashers are in my area. I got the free platinum status when I started and I don’t see much of a difference in my orders. I think it because having an acceptance rate that high in my area is unrealistic. I’d say about 25% of my offers are over 8 miles. And 50% of the offers (even on platinum status) are under $1/mile.
So would you say it's better to do earn by time if your only goal is to increase your acceptance rate?

Yes No, it depends on the market. Just watch your mileage and gas n time! Some markets they can shoot your far out of your zone and causing you to drive back for free! And giving you no tip orders. Why beat up your time n gas and wear and tear for chump change?
I see customers asking for stuff in the delivery notes that I look at when I came close to drop off location
This is my third week DoorDashing. I only work by time because there are basically no tips here. 60-70% of my deliveries are zero tip. The rate here if you do per job instead of by the hour is usually around 3.00 give or take. It’s just not worth it imo.
I have a question: How do you get people to rate your service? I am new to dashing and would be at the platinum level. Have the pizza bag, catering bag and a insulated bag. Plus 2 insulated coolers, but I have done almost 100 deliveries and only had 8 people scored me with one being a 1??
U could always ask in message that u have arrived and please rate the service.
@@jasonmayer8003 I think it's best not to ask them to rate your service, they might give you 4 stars or less. If you just leave it alone, and they don't rate you at all, your rating won't drop.
I would guess that you will make around $17/ hr when you get to 50 percent AR.

Petco PetSmart, Jewel Aldi's, meijer's, Walgreens, CVS, Menards, home Depot, Mariano's ? These are all retail. And some of my best orders. I do this over fast food any day.
In some areas even Best buy is on the list.
Woodman's, (grocery) Tractor Supply Company.. Target, Dollar general. I just did a 17.00 junk food run at Dollar general

I just signed out I got about 60 orders in.
Close to 600$ averaging $9.26 an order. I plan to get out a little bit later tonight I took it light on Monday and Tuesday.
Friday Saturday Sunday I always go hard.

Customer tip 324$
Of course it still sucks...Thats how they sucker you in.

I think the next shift you will definitely reach 50%. I don't think you will receive many high paying orders yet. You will definitely notice the difference with orders (positive difference, better orders). I appreciate the process and consistency you are showing (accepting low offers) in order to achieve the goal. Keep up the great work with the content and your expertise!! Go, Mike !!

I think Earn By Time would be okay if you have a regular full-time job and do deliveries on the side, but not if you're a full-time driver who relies on it for their only income.
So you're trying to see how long doordash will let you work for free lol.
He is trying to make vids for people to click that DD corporate would favor. Its one thing to make content that takes time out of his of life and to make videos that us drivers would like.
@@danguts2844 He's making a video to determine if "Top Dasher" is worth it. Once he gets to 70% he'll probably do a video showing what he gets, and to compare and contrast the financial benefit to it. If his conclusion is top dasher isn't relevant, I don't think DD corp. will like that

86% acceptance rate not bad make 100 a day under 6 or 5 hour shift, earn per order.

I've had High Pay Orders that were like $5 or $6. I've only done like 45 deliveries so far, but acceptance rate is 96%. I'm in Las Vegas and let me tell you that "Top Dasher" guy in Vegas is full of doody. $20/$30/$40 orders all day long, what a joke, I'm not sure if I've even seen 1 order that was $20 to me. I have plenty of screenshots of the garbage they send out, ie:$5 for 19.5 miles. So many not even 50 cents a mile. I usually do Uber eats.

For some reason sometimes I'll receive orders that require a pizza bag even though I haven't gotten one yet
I declined a ton of those my first 2 weeks… way back when I thought it mattered... Now that I’m 3 weeks in I accept anything that pays.

You can ask the resuant for one if you go to the restuant you might get one for free
@@danguts2844 I have a catering bag and an insulated drink carrier bag and the DD bag… but can’t fit an XL pizza. I’ve only had one pizza that didn’t fit.
