I have no peak pay at all anymore in my area. They hired so many drivers that it is now impossible to dash unless you schedule several days ahead of time
2021-2022 we had solid peak pay, early 2023 was decent, from then on it's been pretty bad. Unfortunately something I called out during 2023 as I anticipated this coming based on their earnings calls

Yes. Its worth it accepting all orders. Cause now every order I get is 11 or more. Some single orders most be 2 deliveries but the deliveries are in close range so it's an easy 100 in 3 hours.
Forcing us all. I see so many upside down orders but I can't afford to accept them. The company is ungrateful so they have no problem encouraging ungrateful customers. Pretty offensive getting $2 orders from DoorDash and Uber eats. We see them making a point of it so we have to make our own and stand our ground.

EBT is great in my area. High population density with a low average income. Most tips range from $0-$2, restaraunts are overwhelmed with demand and always behind on orders. So you get an order, chill at the store for 5-10 minutes, don't get penalized for being late because you told DD the order was still being worked on, Deliver it, hit confrim, then get an order 30 seconds later and get back on the clock. Just depends where you are.
@@YourDriverMike yeah I’m not sure. I didn’t have a pizza bag for a while. I would just put the pizzas in the bag laying down and it would accept it every time. Eventually at a papa John’s the employees asked me if I had a bag and pulled a DoorDash pizza bag out of a big box of them. You should share this in one of your videos. May help some people for a temporary basis until they get a bag.

This is always the case. There has to be some consistency on delivery apps. I know that on my app you are going to have your set routes and then random routes to fill in the gaps. I use predictive AI to assist the system.
No matter what you do or how long you work or how hard you try or how far you drive, you will still end up with the same result. These videos are done by people who find themselves in a very rare circumstance and what they are putting out here is not doable for the average driver. Particularly in some of the smaller markets. So save yourself, the heartache, the effort and money and find anything, anything, ....and I mean ANYTHING else to do rather than doordash. I don't know about you but I can't afford to subsidize this kind of company. And by the way, Platinum status is meaningless. I still got $2 orders to drive all the way across town with no tip. It's not worth the effort.
As it should be! This was one of the first rules I set up when building my app. I have set routes and random orders to help fill in the gap, and doing this earns me $30-$60 and hour!
Is there a way to have a permanent pizza bag pic confirmation?? i mean almost every time i get pizza orders, the app request me to take a pic of the bag,
I am not going to require that on my app, at least not to confirm, but the customer is going to let you know by their tips, which is going to be the deciding factor. I don't see the point of making drivers take another step if I can imply it another way.
Yea it seems like Peak Pay is only at times most drivers don't want to be driving, like the middle of the night/very early morning or during bad weather.

@YourDriverMike how can you say that? I'm in the south hills of Pittsburgh and UEs is way better for me. You must not drive all the time for both platforms.
Literally got one last week on Earn By Time (4 pizza's, 2 hot trays and 1 cold tray and 1 1/2 tray) - alot of extra work making it happen, helping carry it in, was thinking this should be a great tip - $8 no tip, lol. ;-)
I have been watching your video by the star watching it but I have to say that I was lower than the 50% and I was crawling to December crawling to January towards the middle of January or the end. I changed it I started getting whatever came my way. I’m mad right now. I’m sitting at 70 or 85% and I’m getting a lot way more orders. I would literally post up at Starbucks Chick-fil-A and watch drivers come in and out getting orders and I still waiting so I decided to start working at night. It rained a lot over here in Los Angeles those days I got out there and hustled in the rain I’m comfortable I know what my car can do and it’s taking it. Easy on my work. A big difference, climbing that pyramid. I’m trying to get to Asher again I want to keep busy. I love your videos man appreciate you so much.
Correct! You got to know the market. Power strips with restaurants with fast order preps(15mins max) is the key. That extra dollar is not inticing to go out to farther zones where no guarantee of a good tip / long order preps/ more mileage more gas. One thing also is using the "power strips" as an advantage to get more stacked deliveries increasing the amount of tips in one cycle.
I love that Cali made it a requirement for delivery apps to pay $20/hr…I can do 2 orders in a hour…say $4.75 and $7.50…say $4.25 is tips…I only made $8 of base pay…they then owe me $12…now add the tips and that’s $24.25 for that hour
I have a question if you are not in the catering program but get large orders that say you need a catering bag, regardless if they are catering or not and you successfully complete them with high ratings, are you more likely to get larger orders like this? Is this just because no one else was close by.
Man I noticed there is some sort of invisible cap where I am, I did the math with a calculator and when I reach around $20 per hour on dash time I get less orders... Literally when hour #4 hits and i'm at $60 I'll get something that gets me up to $80 then I'm just sitting around for a good 30 minutes.
I live in central part of Louisiana which has a population of about 120k not a major metropolitan so we not constanly getting orders so it seems the acceptance rate would be more important here than in dallas or pittburgh. the nearest major zone would be south la Layfayette about hour & half, Baton Rouge 2 hrs New Orleans 3hrs. Do you think large cities somewhat different than smaller cities?
I got a pizza bag. I rarely get pizza orders. And most of those orders pay very low. Hardly any big orders for me. I get more shop and delivery orders then just pick up orders.
I’m on LOP and I’ve noticed if there is peak pay, I barely get any orders, so I actually don’t go out if there’s peak pay unless I’m behind on bills lol
Hi, I’m a dasher in Ohio. My community is around 50k population. Mansfield, Ohio. I’m seeing about an average of 20.-22./hr. I don’t do evenings. I have tried the pay for time. I just accumulate more miles and time. I think earn by offer is working better for me. I have been dashing since July of last year. What do you think?
Ive reached Platinum status and I accept just about every single offer and I still dont get anything more than about $13. Once I got $18 but that was it.
Mike, you're going to double your subscribers for sure if you think outside of your market. I live in CA and as much as I love your videos your data and analytics don't usually apply to me. When you include states with minimum payouts I will subscribe.
How does the doordash model work for anybody. Crazy price uptick for the customer for the food they get and low money for the driver. Seems like this whole thing only makes sense to doordash itself
Although I don't get many orders from Uber I would always except those orders b4 DD...in my area they pay ALOT MORE than DD and it equals out! I run both platforms at the same time. If one is slow I have the other to fall back on
I took two very high paying pizza orders from the same restaurant tonight and I didn’t even have a pizza bag, can anyone explain that? Is that a restaurant backend thing?
I just started dashing yesterday but im not able to cash out same day. Is a 7 day hold required or am i doing sometning wrong? I also already entered my debit card info still not working.
If you get the DasherDirect debit card, the money goes on that as soon as you end your Dash. Then you can send it to your regular bank account, which takes a couple days, or spend it from there or do ATM withdrawals.
Mrbetonyou just posted a video about questioning acceptance rates. He met a guy who dashes and is getting diamond offers BUT…guy only has 0-7% acceptance rate. Why is he getting priority orders? Is there a glitch we don’t know about?😮
I got a unicorn once on EBT. Catering and the order wasn't ready when I arrived, so I ranked up base pay. But yeah, most of the time EBT is pretty terrible.
wow 14% is crazy im at 97% just by dumping the ones below $3. i usually have to wait several minutes just for an offer to come through so if ive been waiting 10 or 15 minutes and finally get an aoffer and its $3 for 2 or 3 miles i usually accept it anyways. in the end about half my orders have zero tip, but the other orders tip enough for my doordash pay to be about equal to my tip pay at the end of the week
I'm going to have to find something better to do than things like DoorDash. I only dash on Friday through Sunday, because that's the only days it's worth while, unless there's a big snow storm. I have a day job at an auto parts store, because the gig economy is going to crap.
In my area it seems we need drivers pretty badly. Well I live in a city that is a testing area for restaurants. They are all close to ea other and a college is close to the north and south part of town. I feel I am in a good city to dash. A lot of restaurants close to houses, college, and lots of apts. I cherry pick all the short orders. Tonight I am happy what I made. 34.00! For 2.5 hrs. Friday I dashed at dark and I got turned off by that run for whatever reason. Couple of weird places I went to. If I deduct for gas , like 30! For five pretty short deliveries. Except 1.
DD has been tucked away in the filler app tray since November. I enjoy the side hustle SO much more with just the 6-7 other apps. Nice to not feel graded by some distopian yardstick.

Accept it Then go to the question mark top right corner Hit store has an issue Hit order not here and that’s it Doesn’t affect you acceptance rate bc you accepted Doesn’t change your completion rate bc it wasn’t your fault And it’ll tell you that before you confirm unassigned

My AR is currently 85% with majority high paying orders in my City
Priority Orders are based on miles per dollar. High Priority orders can be even $4 if the miles per dollar are $2+
This is another way for DD to make things difficult. I am working hard to make sure that my app does not suffer from the same problems!
I get $22 orders with a 25% acceptance rate
Thanks, helpful man
I love that Cali made it a requirement for delivery apps to pay $20/hr…I can do 2 orders in a hour…say $4.75 and $7.50…say $4.25 is tips…I only made $8 of base pay…they then owe me $12…now add the tips and that’s $24.25 for that hour
Literally when hour #4 hits and i'm at $60 I'll get something that gets me up to $80 then I'm just sitting around for a good 30 minutes.
.. but earn by time goes up as you wait for a pickup order in the restaurant and traffic .. pay goes up automatically.. . but I prefer per order ..
I was up to 85% and kept getting crap orders. I am down to 53%.
If you are considered platinum dasher you will probably be okay. It seems this new program is just weeding out some lazy cherry pickers
Pro tip: Leave california.
@@Blundabus1337 okay, please cite where to go with your pro tip
How does the doordash model work for anybody. Crazy price uptick for the customer for the food they get and low money for the driver. Seems like this whole thing only makes sense to doordash itself
They had to pay for DashMart somehow lolol.
If you just let the timer run out when you receive a offer, I don't think it will go against your acceptance score. Is that a correct assumption?
Mine still goes off
if u miss one it'll go down. u just don't get the pop up like clicking decline button...
I ran up my AR to 85% and now I Cherry Pick between 75-90% AR.
Have you tried seeing what you make the 1st hour and if you make the same the rest of the time you work on DD?
Cool video 👍🏿
I am in the catering program for DoorDash with a 95% AR and I can make up to $100 with just one order just based on tips
How do you get apart of that?
Yes how do you do the catering program
Gotta b platinum
I've gotten the large order email about 1 year ago and have not received 1 catering order.. yayy Doordash 🙄
Earning by time I will never choose again!
They no longer offer resets on acceptance rates.
It doesn't matter anyway. I just did that and still sh*t
Only did it once so far when they offered in November like they did, Mike
My wife and I did 4 different zones in the promos. We did $800 in just incentives!!!
For what period of time? etc. Not enough info to be useful
One of mine was 42.00. Just going two miles!😂
I live on an island. AR rate definitely makes a difference. I notice a hige difference.
Use the weather to your advantage we had $7 peak because news was off on a lake effect snow storm. I was able to get 100 in 2.25 hours
Good point, but your much more likely to get into an accident driving in serious snow etc., so you also want to take that into account as well.
Although I don't get many orders from Uber I would always except those orders b4 DD...in my area they pay ALOT MORE than DD and it equals out! I run both platforms at the same time. If one is slow I have the other to fall back on
Can I use someone else email account on my DoorDash Account without been Deactivated or having an issue
I got a pizza bag for free & only delivered 1/2 pizzas. But the bag is great for bigger orders like McDonalds, Krispy Crean & Jim & Nicks etc.
I took two very high paying pizza orders from the same restaurant tonight and I didn’t even have a pizza bag, can anyone explain that? Is that a restaurant backend thing?
How do you know what the mile per order will be ?
If you just miss an offer does that count against you?
Yes
Is there a glitch we don’t know about?😮
I noticed that I have to accept 2-3 orders to bring my AR up at least 1% but declined a single bad offer and went down 1% 10:13
Yep. It's irritating!
Lol dd aint dead yall are
Can’t argue with that.
I have platinum status and still receive low paying orders! I am still wanting for those high paying. It says 6$ is a high paying order.
To me high AR or not they still give you trash orders and prices I don’t see any difference if its up or down
I do Uber eats and for the last 3 days they turn my app off saying my battery my battery be 100% I don't get it
Im currently platinum in my area to me its worth keeping AR up. If not i lose platinum status lol my AR is 82 percent
Plz help me change locations in my spark app on iOS
I got a unicorn once on EBT. Catering and the order wasn't ready when I arrived, so I ranked up base pay. But yeah, most of the time EBT is pretty terrible.
In my market papa Gino's will give you a doordash pizza bag for free
Hey if they're offering definitely grab one!
wow 14% is crazy im at 97% just by dumping the ones below $3. i usually have to wait several minutes just for an offer to come through so if ive been waiting 10 or 15 minutes and finally get an aoffer and its $3 for 2 or 3 miles i usually accept it anyways.
in the end about half my orders have zero tip, but the other orders tip enough for my doordash pay to be about equal to my tip pay at the end of the week
How do you know what you're going to be paid on an order DoorDash doesn't show me and I'm tired of taking orders that don't have tips
Except 1.
I’m top dasher 90% ar and they don’t be giving like that to me
They probably know he does RUclips
There aren’t enough jobs in my area (Ventura, California) to Cherry pick. Market is over saturated. You have to take what you can get!
same here
Yes, DD forcing us to accept low offers especially right when you are about to pick one up from drive thru, or Waite for 90 seconds, frustrating😡
DD has been tucked away in the filler app tray since November.
I enjoy the side hustle SO much more with just the 6-7 other apps. Nice to not feel graded by some distopian yardstick.
What other apps do you use?
@@jaredgibson7462 the usual suspects, mostly IC and a regional app called Favor. Spark is fully tanked here as well...
I wanna believe the future of delivery lies in local platforms.
Have anybody been deactivate from doordash for 2 months straight and did a appeal and it haven't hear back from them for a response?
Dash only during promos, by busy shopping districts, and lunch and dinner especially. Avoid areas with fast food restaurants.
Earn by time is actually paid by the minute. Do the math. My area is $13/hr which is $.2166 a minute. That is how you calculate your pay. Call it 22 cents a minute.
Your killin me bro
I’m in fl and our peak pay tops out at 5$ you said 4$ was the highest
Also pizza bags you can ask pizza places if they have any for dashers
Some do and some don’t but if they do they give them to you and the app tells you that
This is the fourth video I’ve watched and I’m still waiting on something useful
What happened to door dash 2-3 weeks ago
They changed something for customers I’m assuming raised prices
I know tip encouragement was added but not as many people have been ordering
Also all my numbers are high 4.95 stars 97% acceptance and completion rates
96%on time or early
My point of telling you that is bc I’ve found that taking the crap orders and getting my numbers up pays off
It’s worth it to work the app how they want
Then when you get up there and know what and how to keep good you can pick n choose what you want
There’s also multiple ways of getting out of orders without affecting your numbers
I don’t hear any of this stuff and maybe that’s just your experience in your area I’m sure it’s different everywhere
I’m in Jacksonville fl
How do u get out of orders without affecting your numbers?
Accept it
Then go to the question mark top right corner
Hit store has an issue
Hit order not here and that’s it
Doesn’t affect you acceptance rate bc you accepted
Doesn’t change your completion rate bc it wasn’t your fault
And it’ll tell you that before you confirm unassigned
@@blessedinjax thank you!
@@blessedinjax is there eventually a penalty/punishment for this too many times?
Idk I ain’t dashed since the start of the year I’m sure things have changed many times
is there a sort of chat room or support group that i can join to talk with other dashers about issues and so forth
There’s groups on Reddit
There are Facebook groups also
I dashed last night I kid you not soon as 10:45pm hit in my area 12.50 is what you make a hour they were paying 20.50 then the next hour 23.50 I made $102 in 3 hours ot was raining bad weather but I took that risk and it was worth it also got tipped in cash this was so clutch gonna get back at it today busy days are Friday night and all Saturday
Once or twice per day i get pulled out of my power strip to deliver
You described a number of actions, such as reset, but you did not explain how to do any of it (except "know your market").
If your area is saturated with drivers good luck man it’s insane 80% AR and get straight trash orders
Are you still supposed to get priority access with that and still getting bad orders?
@@YourDriverMike I'm on silver right now and "supposed" to get priority access to high paying orders, but still get a lot of $2-$5 orders, or many where the miles is higher than the pay. I'm close to platinum (4.95% CR and 100% completion) and have a 62% AR and I'm wondering if it's even worth it to even be on platinum, other than the fact that you get to 'dash any time'. Love your video's by the way!
7% AR here 🤭
I had a lot of construction in Ohio made a lot of deliveries trash
Lol I live in a town of about 40 - 40k people and Doordash is alive and well.
I've had a 96% acceptance rate and I still get no tip orders. Crazy
14% is crazy
This was just pointing out the obvious. You have to
decline the small orders and accept the big orders. That’s it guys.
