I would typically accept Chic-fil-a offer at about 5 miles for that amount BECAUSE in my area, more times than not, I will get a 2nd order while in store that only adds a couple miles. So, I'd end up with 2 orders than would give me close to $14 for 7/8 miles. And, my Chic-fil-a is quick also, so I am in and out.

People need to include the cost of fuel, wear and tear on your vehicle and use of your time into their requirements. You can still make money, but you have to be selective for sure.
@Myers00 don't do the dash by time, dash by order and you can decline as many as you wish. Doing dash by time you don't even get to know which ones you should be declining because dd won't tell you tip until after it's complete. Don't work for a gamble. Know your worth and only accept good orders
1-3 miles makes that $6.75 possibly worth it, but probably still decline it because of TIME vs PAY. ITS ALL ABOUT TIME!! Don’t forget every order is a gamble when you are dealing with HIDDEN TIPS!!
I'm a member. I used to do it kind of like that and then the first 3/4 of last month I didn't and got down to 52% acceptance rating and then my order weren't as good. So the last week I had to do something so I started taking more 1 pointers than I did in the beginning. Now I'm Top Dasher again for the 6th time in a row and getting better orders with my acceptance rating at 85%
I take those $4.50 going 2 miles from McDonalds. It gets your AR up. The next order will be the $30 from a good Japanese restaurant. You take the 1 pointers, the thank you from DoorDash is good. The problem is you take that $3.50 going 2 miles at McDonalds and they are having a bad day and can't get the order out. Unassigning can become a problem. It can become a guess as to which 1 pointer still scores.
I'm the type that likes my free throws as well as my 3 pointers. I laugh any time I see folks say to reject any and all if it's under x 10 times out of 10. Gotta have a strategy not a static approach. That $4 order is probably headed towards a $10 order in the area in question. Happens all the time. Not every time but it happens.
I'm a member. This stuff is spot on because you described exactly how I got lot's of orders yesterday even though it was my first day of dashing. Without realizing it, I was taking 1, 2, and 3 pointers. Otherwise I would have been sitting in that McDonald's parking lot for a long ass time declining orders. Thanks for the video and I hope you're still doing this.
I like your concept. EXCEPT for one important variable. Your not the only dasher, so more then likely while your delivering those 1s & 2s someone else is gonna SSSNATCH that 3 banger before u get back to the hot zone. Again I pretty much follow this strategy to a tee also but I factor in what day it is, the time of day and how fast the orders are popping. But 👏 good ish my boi.
The hot spots suck they were hot but that was because they had a lot of orders previously so all the drivers go there and that train has left I make my own hot spot lol
@@duncanharris4723 that kinda thing is typical , the McDonald's we go to most often has dramatically improved recently after a "corporate efficiency visit" and we have one subway in the list of restaurants we never go to under any circumstances but the others are fine
My Mcd's is very fast and also once they recognize you are a dasher and if the order isn't complete yet will hurry it just to get you out. Especially if you are nice to them while you are there. I see them 5-7 times a night and they know me.
It is the out of zone offers that are hurting me. I take 1,2,3's. I work about 3.5 hours a day and do pretty well but those pesky out of zone orders can be killers.
When the app takes me out of my zone, I hit 'end dash' and then 'dash now' in a new zone. I am not waiting for the app to catch up with me. Also, if I ever take a order with a delivery far away, I hit 'pause' and drive back to a busy area and then 'resume dash' so I don't have to decline orders and hurt my acceptance rating.
I'm a member of the Bentley for president committee. I have followed your advise and have doubled my profitability in just 2 weeks. Thanks again for the time you've spent teaching all of us how to be better, more sucessful dashers...
Bro! Thank you for all of you advice. I have been making from $15 to $25 per hour Dashing. I have a salary job too but I actually have fun "playing Doordash" ... gotta go snatch this offer!... and ONE!
I had some orders this morning and got excited about the 2$ per mile. I didn’t even notice that first it was 8 minutes to get to the pick up location and the drop off was basically the end of the line because they were out in the boonies.
You will understand this i got an order right before Christmas. $22.50 for 11 miles from G town to Charlotte. Kicker it was 5:15pm on a workday while Christmas town lights were going on. I hated it but turned it down cause i know it would take me an hour and a half to run the order. I am top dasher at 81% making $22 to $28 an hour
Happy New Year Bently!!! I agree with you. I'm a shooter of all points. When I clock in, I take 1,2,3 All day long and I actually make between $50-$75 for 3hrs. Pending on the day of the week and hot spot area. Bently, very often get orders for $2.00- 2.75 some days. I've realized, the payout depends on a dasher geographical area. I say this because, while dashing I get messages asking g if I want to switch zones. Thank you Bentley and good work, "Delivery Demon"
9:08 I could already drop off 2 orders if not 4 (2 doubles) I’m 20 minutes, happens OFTEN im in Tacoma, WA I love when I get 1 pointers back to back and I stay in the hot zone! 💯 those add up quick
I'm a member. Only been doing it a week and at 1st I didn't know it even showed the distance. But I'm catching on.. which I made over $600 for 52 hrs. But I'm going to take your advice and hopefully cut a few hrs off that. Thanks for the Knowledge. And I'm from Statesville NC just a few mes up the road from you. I go to Mooresville, Cornelius and Huntersville to do most of mine. Keep Um Straight down there in the Queen City. Whoo
I just started doing DoorDash Friday Jan12 and Saturday Jan13 just for 4 1/2 to 5 hours so right now as I type this I’ve almost invested 9 hours total. My total payout including tips on total for Friday and Saturday doing all 3’s, 2’s and 1’s (I love basketball btw GO LAKERS!) I’ve already made a total of $245 and that came out to be like 26-27 dollars per hour. I’m gonna keep watching your videos and continue with this lol
The biggest problem I have with DoorDash since I started on November 15 is I don’t get enough offers and so at the end of the day I don’t even cover my gas costs. If they don’t send you any offers to select or not select then you’re already screwed.
It be making me so mad .... I won't be getting any orders and seeing people walk in and out the store picking up orders and I have top dasher and can't get but three or four orders IF IM LUCKY in a three/four hour period
i just did my second night of dashing. weather been horrible lately, I appreciate all these tips, I will be experimenting with time selection, order selection, and I grabbed the apps you recommended in an older video. some i was already looking at but I never heard of a few of the others.
Happy new year! I’m a member! Thank you Bentley your tips and tricks have been very profitable for me! I also want to point out on those one point orders a lot of them have a plus sign (+) next to the dollar amount which means that they usually are an even higher amount that you’re going to get at the end of the delivery! I always take these orders!!! 🎉 that one pointer turns into a three-pointer really quick!
I take 1 pointers, bc you never know iff you're. A decent dasher if the customer may add on at the end. I have ALOT of customers who add on. A tip after delivery. Just never know. But I also go with the mindset that even if there is no tip, it could be a cash tip,or that that may have been that person's only money for that day and they may not have had money for a great top or any tip at all.
Just accepted a $5.50 for 1.5 miles as this video ended Fazoli's , the one pointers add up too , and dont sleep on those shop orders , that's where the real money is hiding now! Thank u Bentley!
For real! I consistently run $22+ an hour averages based mostly from doing shopping orders. Walgreens runs for chips and drinks really make my nights. I honestly don't do a lot of restaurants most days
@@odddadout Exactly!! Hy-Vee shop orders, are by far, where most of my income comes from anymore! Usually about half of the Hy-Vee orders include booze too. As long as they're still paying over $2.00 a mile and over $1.00 an item, you can make bank on these orders! Nye I was making $30 an hr doing nothing but Hy-Vee shop orders. My income slowed that day when dinner hit & I had to start waiting at restaurants.
Why aren’t the drop off miles included before you accept? Once I accept then pick up the food, once I tap directions to the clients house it’s usually 6-9 miles
When it says a certain # of miles, it should be the drive from where you are currently to the restaurant + the drive to the customer. I would contact DoorDash. That should not happen.
McDonald's here in Tulsa OK are often slow with orders & acknowledging that you're even in the store. So I have learned which is most likely to have order ready or close to being ready when I arrive.
Another factor to consider before accepting is the destination. If your drop off is in a dead zone and 15 - 20 minutes away from any potential pick up areas, then that's usually a no for me
it depends! what if the pay is $30 or $40? Last night I had to drive 10 miles away from the hotpost, but the pay ended up being $40 instead of the original $30
@@zanthemeximan Isn't that obvious? Anyone would happily take an order that pays $30-40.... even if it takes you a whole ass hour to complete that's still an amazing rate. He's referring to the orders that are 10 miles out to no where that are only paying $10.
Commenting on this part way through so perhaps it's addressed, but the thing is at 8:02 you show a dash. Assuming that's indicative of an average dash for you, then you only made 16.24/hour based off of dash time. Now sure if you apply it to active time it's around 23.65/hr. But honestly the only time active time should actually be considered is if you're multi-apping and figuring out which app is what percentage of your time/revenue. So unless you tell me that during that dash time you also made 40 or 50 with another app(s), then once you take into account expenses I question if you made more than min. wage.
Hi Bentley, I'm Carlett and I'm a Dasher in North Platte, Nebraska. Unfortunately there are many times that I have a hard time getting decent times scheduled for my town, I schedule myself for the area towns that are at least an hour away from home. I am constantly checking several times a day every day to see if anything has opened up for times in my town
Just had to comment since you’re from Nebraska. I live in Omaha, but I’m originally from Lexington. I know a lot of people that work at the DC in North Platte.
Why do you not schedule ahead of time? I schedule my whole week out ahead of time in 2-4 hr increments so in case I forget or I miss a dash I always have more scheduled during that day
@@donnabrown4816 I’m very new to this, so I have to ask what is the purpose of scheduling ahead? Does it make a difference versus just opening the app and starting?
Usually, people schedule ahead of time if they live in an area where it is not busy all the time. So you can't just dash at any time, you have to schedule your time slots since the app doesn't allow you to dash when it's not busy.@@Hvyweight84
Soooooo, I am just watching your video for the first time. At first, I thought you were a little bit boring.... BUT When you named the 3rd driver Bentley, I literally fell out laughing.... And just subscribed!
I’m Dasher, average 28-30 dollars an hour, including catering orders. You’re right three-pointers and two pointers are bread and butter, the difference is deciding which one orders to decline, and times of day to work, avoiding busy rush when people are jamming the roads and slowing you down. 4 1/2 months successfully done 2100 with consistent success.
I'm a member!! just paid my Q3 taxes, only been dashing (almost 20 hrs week, 3-4 hrs night during week and 6-8 hr days or nights on weekends) since this june. gov't taking 37.3%. so when i hear 25$ hr, I hear "gross pay" meaning 16$ net. getting my head straight on what value this brings to me. my wife is my navigator so time spent with her is a plus.
That chick fil a order I'm probably taking all day long. $6.75 adds up quickly in a fairly short time. But i will seriously consider time/mileage. My comfort zone would be closer to 2.8 miles for that pay out. Last night i went out and did really well based on what i made hourly but on the flip side last night killed my AR.
If it's slow and I see an order for $4.50 within 2 miles, I'm taking it. You stay in ur zone and can get it done in 10 minutes. Better taking $4.50 for 2 miles instead of $4.50 for 10 miles.
I must be in a bad area? Average amount for orders than come in are $5-6 with 3-4 miles of travel per order. Over the course of 5-6hrs my orders range from $2 to $11 most nights. I'm also getting a TON of 16mile requests ... for $6-8 dollars that I end up declining.
All you need to know is your market. How much? Or better yet, is there any millionaires that live around you in your city? And what time do they get hungry? Also you need to know what food places have good operations. That way you're in that area and you would want to take every order. It's just like a video game. He who has more points or he who is playing the video game better will always win
Make sure you take fuel and tires and everything you have to fix on your car and oil changes....out of your per hour.... And dont forget taxes at the end of the year... You make less than $20 an hour...also use your dash time not your active time to calculate it
DD should pay $1/mile + customer tip. Therefore if it comes in for 10 miles, pay should be $10+customer tip. Likewise if the order comes for 0.9miles, then DD pays 90c for that trip + customer's tip. Also, tips should be a minimum $5 with an additional $1 for every additional mile above 5 miles
Looking and Explaining 1 pt, 2 pt and 3 pt system. I have only heard to look at how much $, usually $8+ AND no more than 1/2 the dollar amount in miles. I wondered why they weren’t consistently making more…. i saw too much waiting around. Now I totally see your point system advantages! Thanks 😊
Hey Bentley! Happy New Year! 🎉 Thank you for this video 🙏 I’m a member! I’m on the same page, brother. I would take a 6.75 order if it’s going 3-4 miles, as long as the restaurant isn’t on my shit list lol. Popeyes is notoriously on my shit list, so is Burger King.
Thankyou so much I just started part time and you are so right when I go to Popeyes always parking and it is always ready when I go to outback steak house pays more distance is good but waited 15 minutes rather do Popeyes .
Doordash has been one of the best jobs I’ve had snce i started using a bot. It was set up for me by gigshield. I literally get only good orders whenever i want in California My acceptance rate is always above 75%. My usual pay is 30-60 an hour after tips and I still get compensated every Monday for any waiting times or underpayment on dds part. No bosses, everyone is cool My pay has been 2000-3500 a week. I really don’t see how drivers complain unless they’re not ready to be tech conscious
Im taking every dime right now. I hear what everybody is saying, but im taking it all, and im making 200 a day in just under 6 hours. My thing is knowing the time of the hot spots and what day. Areas i go on usually are the same people, and they always tip good. Communication with the customer is also a plus.
I agree about communication, I try to contact every customer and let them know when I arrive, if there's a wait, and if they need any extras like condiments they may have forgotten.
I am a 3,2,1 point type person too. Rarely make less than $20/hour. Of course, there is the occasional day of cheapskates and slow offer pace...those are the cut and run till another day days.
Well, when I get a notification it only tells me where the pick up is and how much. Until I confirm the order that's when it tells me where I'm going and I don't like that.
I'm learning as I go just started 4 days ago now I know to look at the distance yesterday. I made $30 in 1 hour with only doing 7, 8 miles total it was during peak hours.
Shorter distance from faster restraunt means less time spent on that order and more time to catch another right after
You mean more orders in an hour means more money?! No shit!? 😮🙄 Well it doesnt work like that...not every order is a great order

@Myers00 don't do the dash by time, dash by order and you can decline as many as you wish. Doing dash by time you don't even get to know which ones you should be declining because dd won't tell you tip until after it's complete. Don't work for a gamble. Know your worth and only accept good orders
Thanks Rick 🫶🏽
Wtf you think driving at 2:1 or 1.75:1 is? You're pretty slow my guy.
New dasher, glad this community exists
I will take a $4 no tip order with low kms/miles. After those smaller orders I usually get a way better order
I’m a member
Yes if it say 1 mile and $4 I'll take it
I take 1,2,& 3 pointers. Last week earned $32 per hour
I just started and I'm still learning the best way to make the most money.
Wait so if I go to the Hotspot they tell me to go and I arrive and I don't receive any orders does that mean someone already took it ?
The hot spots suck they were hot but that was because they had a lot of orders previously so all the drivers go there and that train has left I make my own hot spot lol
McDonald's $4.75, the order must be less than 1 mile to even consider it. McDonald's will always be a longer wait than Chick-fil-A
Depends of restaurant and staff
Not in my area. McDonald's is on it around here. We never wait.
Chick-fil-A has a wait for over half the orders.
Depends on the McDonald’s. I’ve got two in town. I’ll always avoid one of them because they’re slow. But the other one is on point.
I just started last week. Your information was very informative. i loved the basketball analogy!
It is the out of zone offers that are hurting me. I take 1,2,3's. I work about 3.5 hours a day and do pretty well but those pesky out of zone orders can be killers.
Yeeessss
I also have that problem even as top dasher...2 to 4 dollar orders always going 2 to 3 zones over...it's super frustrating 🤷♀️
This is the exact strategy (3-2-1) I've been following the past year. Thank you Bentley! 🙏🏽
I'm a member of the Bentley for president committee. I have followed your advise and have doubled my profitability in just 2 weeks. Thanks again for the time you've spent teaching all of us how to be better, more sucessful dashers...
Every McDonalds I’ve done have been ready on time and less than 5 miles.
Bro! Thank you for all of you advice. I have been making from $15 to $25 per hour Dashing. I have a salary job too but I actually have fun "playing Doordash" ... gotta go snatch this offer!... and ONE!
I am the #3 guy.
Love the content and conversation. VERY HELPFUL!
Thanks fam
This is my issue
It be making me so mad .... I won't be getting any orders and seeing people walk in and out the store picking up orders and I have top dasher and can't get but three or four orders IF IM LUCKY in a three/four hour period
Try multiple apps
@@JasonSanders-y5k Try changing zones
You need to be in a larger market
My boy out here playing chess not checkers thanks for the tips fam happy new year
Definitely true I’ve had days where I don’t take them and days where I do and I always make sure when I do
Hi Bentley, thanks for creating this channel. I am a newbie, having fun learning to Dash.
i just did my second night of dashing. weather been horrible lately, I appreciate all these tips, I will be experimenting with time selection, order selection, and I grabbed the apps you recommended in an older video. some i was already looking at but I never heard of a few of the others.
I'd love orders like that .... I be getting 30 mile round trip drop off orders be pissin me off
When it says a certain # of miles, it should be the drive from where you are currently to the restaurant + the drive to the customer. I would contact DoorDash. That should not happen.
I usually see the total mileage at the top left of the order. It only changes if they change address.
I'm a member I started dashing since last Thursday and now considered #topdasher🐐 #atlbaby #realatlanta
I love them free throws. Facts those free throws build up to a few half court shots!
Nice. I’m a member
@zanthemeximan like I said, "to consider before accepting."
Unless it pays well enough for me to get back then, Snatch!
@@zanthemeximan Isn't that obvious? Anyone would happily take an order that pays $30-40.... even if it takes you a whole ass hour to complete that's still an amazing rate. He's referring to the orders that are 10 miles out to no where that are only paying $10.
@@v1tam1ns where did OP say anything about $10?
I’m a member!!! I’m in CLT also my boy!! Let’s get it!
5:15 No more than 3 to 4 miles on a $6.75 order. The longer you DD, the quicker you learn!
So unless you tell me that during that dash time you also made 40 or 50 with another app(s), then once you take into account expenses I question if you made more than min. wage.
Now I’m a member, and because of you, I’m about to #SNATCH that money right into my pocket. Thanks
I’m a member. I want you to post a video for 2024 tips on how to make even just $100 a day.
I’m right here with ya !
🤓 welcome to the fam
Thank you Bentley
I do the 1-2-3. Learning as I dash! A Brown, Milwaukee, WI
I always take 3,2 and 1s, and I kill it in g-ville & Spartanburg SC., I quit my full time job to dash full time and it was the best decision I made
Wow
Still watching all your videos. Very Awesome
I really appreciate your outlook on things. Time to make that money.
I take them all👍👍👍
👍👍 Good strategy!!!
I'm a member sir!! Awesome video and analysis!
Excellent video!!! Thank you, this helped me a lot!!!
LOVE THIS VIDEO 📹
If it's slow and I see an order for $4.50 within 2 miles, I'm taking it. You stay in ur zone and can get it done in 10 minutes. Better taking $4.50 for 2 miles instead of $4.50 for 10 miles.
I must be in a bad area? Average amount for orders than come in are $5-6 with 3-4 miles of travel per order. Over the course of 5-6hrs my orders range from $2 to $11 most nights. I'm also getting a TON of 16mile requests ... for $6-8 dollars that I end up declining.
I never tale anything from any "steakhouse" type restaurant
Food is never ready and the wait is 10 minutes or longer
I usually wait 10-20 mins for pizza, steak, sushi or others.. terrible
All you need to know is your market. How much? Or better yet, is there any millionaires that live around you in your city? And what time do they get hungry? Also you need to know what food places have good operations. That way you're in that area and you would want to take every order. It's just like a video game. He who has more points or he who is playing the video game better will always win
Your strategy works, period, done...i am proof!
Make sure you take fuel and tires and everything you have to fix on your car and oil changes....out of your per hour.... And dont forget taxes at the end of the year... You make less than $20 an hour...also use your dash time not your active time to calculate it
This is excellent points, i have been doing 2 and 3 ptrs, i need to take 1 ptrs well articulated.
I'm in. Thanks , you do a great job on your vids.!
I make 1200 a week every week and i don't do small orders. It doesn't hurt my earnings. I made 72000 last year. Works for me
DD should pay $1/mile + customer tip. Therefore if it comes in for 10 miles, pay should be $10+customer tip. Likewise if the order comes for 0.9miles, then DD pays 90c for that trip + customer's tip.
Also, tips should be a minimum $5 with an additional $1 for every additional mile above 5 miles
Luv this….agree agree…Thank you!!!!
Thanks 😊
Thank you Bentley for the motivation It helped alot
8:40 I take all three! Figured it out but I’m quite a large number of deliveries in now lol!
You make these videos like its that easy. With no regard for the $2.50 for 8 miles, then right after $3.75 for 7.6 miles.
I literally get only good orders whenever i want in California
My acceptance rate is always above 75%. My usual pay is 30-60 an hour after tips and I still get compensated every Monday for any waiting times or underpayment on dds part. No bosses, everyone is cool
My pay has been 2000-3500 a week. I really don’t see how drivers complain unless they’re not ready to be tech conscious
im so glad i already do this. been crushing it easy. 👍🏾😎
My Brother you definitely have important information
Appreciate you 👊🏿
Thanks fam
Im taking every dime right now. I hear what everybody is saying, but im taking it all, and im making 200 a day in just under 6 hours. My thing is knowing the time of the hot spots and what day. Areas i go on usually are the same people, and they always tip good. Communication with the customer is also a plus.
I agree about communication, I try to contact every customer and let them know when I arrive, if there's a wait, and if they need any extras like condiments they may have forgotten.
7:00 One pointers get 1 to 2 miles from me lol! The McDonald’s in the area I dash in can be a little slow though.
14:22 I am a member! Thank you, Bentley!
I do . 3,2,1 and consistently making money .
I am a 3,2,1 point type person too. Rarely make less than $20/hour. Of course, there is the occasional day of cheapskates and slow offer pace...those are the cut and run till another day days.
I accept 1,2,3 every day keep the money coming and keep the wheels moving no time to wait for orders.
Well, when I get a notification it only tells me where the pick up is and how much. Until I confirm the order that's when it tells me where I'm going and I don't like that.
Its frustrating!!
U are awesome! So helpful!
I'm learning as I go just started 4 days ago now I know to look at the distance yesterday. I made $30 in 1 hour with only doing 7, 8 miles total it was during peak hours.
