  • Paiste AR manager Christian Wenzel heads over to London to catch up with Ian Paice of Deep Purple to run through some of the recent release from Paiste.
    In this video Ian checks out the Signature «Precision» series.
    SIGNATURE «PRECISION»
    The new series is created using Paiste's proprietary Signature Alloy, and features the typical hallmarks of Paiste's original Signature sound - brightness, fullness, strong presence and projection, with brilliant musicality.
    A particular quality of the Signature «Precision» is its clean and focused character in combination with a very articulate, straight-ahead sound.
    The finish of Signature «Precision» purposely follows the tradition established by the original Signature series. Fans of the original Signature sound, look and feel will thus find these cymbals a compelling choice for their cymbal sets.
    «The goal for the Signature 'Precision' was to create a more affordable Signature sound. We specifically researched and designed the manufacturing process to achieve that goal. Part of the success of this project is the incredible sound potency that already exists within the Signature Alloy.» - Erik Paiste

    I think Paiste has once again hit the mark with their new 2002 Big Beat.. The sound of classic 2002, but with the dark smoothness of a 602 modern essential..

    Wonderful presentation. PAISTE cymbals rarely disappoint. These are beautiful sounding cymbals...a bit reminiscent of A Zildjians. But AZs never had the consistency of PAISTEs. Nice to hear Ian's perspectives...and great to see/hear his jazz-chops playing at the end. Great stuff.

    Ian Paice is the World's grestest drummer. No one ever played better rock drums than Mr. Paice from 1974-1977.

    I just picked up a Sig Precision 16" crash for peanuts ! IT's a beautiful and surprisingly dark cymbal and tonally sounds bigger than the size entails..

    Good cymbals - I would take them over 2002s any day of the week - the regular Signature line however, are GREAT cymbals!

    Do these cymbals don't sound different when there are so many other cymbals around ? Don't these unused cymbals not reinforce those that are used ?

    I wish Paiste would bring back the heavy crash model in the 2002 series. The power crashes are great but they lack the sophistication and articulation of the heavy model.

    I think the old Sound Formula's sound better than these. Lots still available used. Ian Paice RULES. :-D

    • @lucianisidro
      @lucianisidro 4 года назад +1

      That is because these Precisions are the 'cheap' Signature range. The Sound Formula you speak of are comparable to the regular, more expensive Signature line. Try a Signature Full Ride and any of the crashes - especially the Full series - and you will see what I mean. I have a 20" Sound Formula Full Ride and it is identical in all ways to the 20" Signature Full Ride.

    Nice presentation. However these cymbals suck if you think of the cost. They have no nuances. Go for the twenty series

    i simply can´t stand all of these brilliant lathing hi pitched tone cymbals ... no darkness and smootness in the sound, only overly hi frequency trashy a loudness

    • @JanusJanavas
      @JanusJanavas Год назад +2

      Oh, I simply cannot bear those super extra Sahara-dry, dark-toned cymbals. Absolutely no shimmer and projection in the sound, and the frequencies? Don’t even get me started - they just love to interfere with other instruments in the mix.
