Ian Paice! One of the greatest drummers of all time!
probably the best...
Also most graceful
Buddy Rich y Ian Paice the best
RF El Genio my most beloved drummers are Ian Paice and John Bonham, the unforgettable Bonzo
Fractal Universe · all things are connected I like to watch the old Deep Purple videos, many times Ian was shirtless, he is so cute ... 🥰
AWESOME to have Bruce and Ian performing together!!!😎👍
When I was nine years old, Ian and Bonzo were my first introduction to drumming. 50 years later , what a blessing to see Ian work his craft.
The one and only Ian Paice, master of masters, he that makes us all humble, the greatest ever.
How relaxed he is. An absolutely extraordinary drummer. One of the best of all times.
The relaxation is key to his musical feel. He has always had a great, great "feel" to his drumming.
something young drummers don't know anything about
Or at least he seems so. But I think he really is. One of the best. 😊
Ian paice is my number one 🥁 drummer
and Bill Ward
As a 63yo classic rock devotee, Ian, Bonzo, Carl and Alan are my all time faves and always will be. For some reason Neil doesn't get me like these guys do, though I really like him and know how incredible he was.
As for rock and roll, Ian will always be the master. Thank you so much Paicey, you were my instructor
It's nice to see that rock stars are only human and only cook with water. Apart from about 5% talent; There are no good or bad musicians, only trained and untrained ones. Paice made history with Purple and In Rock will forever be one of my favorite albums!
Took my 13 year-old daughter to this wonderful evening of musical wonder!
We both loved it, billiant night!
Had the honor of meeting Paice
A true professional and performer I saw him live at the dome in Houston Texas with the original band very nice I was impressed I'm actually still there at that show I had so much fun and my mind I'll always be there be safe be peaceful
The best drummer in the world.
no doubts about that ,and the most amazing fact is that at his age HE STILL HAS IT !!!!!
Yes absolutely!
Ian Paice swings!!❤❤❤
Ian's snare work is some of the greatest I've ever seen specially back in deep purples hey day hey lol.
I was lucky enough to be there (with my daughter)that night and, yes, Ian was wonderful, they all were.Talking of snare drums, I saw this clip a while back, blew me away! m.ruclips.net/video/DSEPEw3rr4E/видео.html
King of ghost notes... and proof that proficiency with rudiments will take you to another level...
Ian's elite drumming commands attention. A true master of percussion.
I really like Ian Paice. He knows his stuff. Nice guy and very talented.
Ian is sooooo amazing. Just rehearsing, no crowd, no micro, he is totally focused and he does those things only him does so well. Nobody comes close to the musicality Ian P puts into drumming. I love to listen to him 👍🤗
One of the greatest drimmers of all time
True..drummer not drummer
@@Thursdaym2 sorry mispelled
@@Thursdaym2 well which is it?
@@lawsonfan5797 drummer not drummer
Yeah, the rest of us can only “drim” of achieving such talent and skill. 😉
Buddy was Ian's favorite drummer.
One of the Greatest vocalist and one of the greatest drummer of all time.
One of the very best drummers ever
Such a very expressive drummer...I love his facial expressions when he plays
Best hard rock drummer I ever heard.
Best of the best!
1000% ❤
one of great drummers and also humble one
explosive fills ..love him.
Ian paice on the drums YES!!!!!!!
RF El Genio Just like Ian Gillan said on Made In Japan!
DEEP PURPLE...
Ian Paice maestro del swing!
Always love to see Ian Paice play, fantastic drummer 👍
Ian Paice, a Professor of rock! \m/
A confluence of greatness... much respect. 😊
Epic!
Bloody good drumming.
I wish we could hear the great Bruce Dickerson better. Great performance. Thanks for loading.
Great drummer..Ian Paice....👍
The sense of experience is so strong.
The best.
Such a great swing feel to this version...bravo! Great fills!
"Старий кінь борозди не портить" Дякую барабанному Богу.
Дякую новітнім технологіям за те , що можна таке бачити.
Ian Paice and Bruce Dickinson, ya a couple of my favorites.
Ian Paice still has it.
And this is what vocals sound like from the drum throne.
Fabulous drummer. Period.
Awesome
Woooooooow The teacher continues to run the battery power... He was my great influence👌🏽
He’s the grooviest drummer ever in my opinion👍
This man is a real Beast
I can listen to him playing drums any day
Ian paice wau súper
Best crossover ever
Espectacular
FOREVER !!! ♥️
Que baterista top one magistrsl coordinación 😮
Ian Paice's rhythm playing on the drums will remain the immortal rhythm in the history of Anglo-Saxon pop music.Ian Paice's rhythm playing on the drums will remain the immortal rhythm in the history of Anglo-Saxon pop music.
That Hi-Hat is so close! I'm feeling cramped.
Walter Blomquist
All his drums are close. Arms tucked in and everything within a comfortable reach.
He's talking the drum language
The title should have said “ Ian Paice plays Smoke on the Water and he owns the Camera “ 😬
You're absolutely right here. The setting in 2012, with the let's say, somewhat stressed crew that evening, was kind of 'to not get in their way, even from the side of the stage with a 2012 zooming camera.'
Drummerszone.com is a website and drum channel mainly, and we recorded Ian during the show from a spot with the crew on top of us. Any movements with that small camera were followed and restricted on Bruce. It was 2012, and Drummerszone.com was the only media there. And the guys haunting us - during showtime, were just following orders. We just can't give you more.
But don't worry, we still have the full rehearsal moments, and they are coming soon!
Its still good to see only Ian Paice permanently so any interested could have a special view how he's playin the basic groove & the great files on "Smoke on the Water" ... On Drums Ian Paice !!!! Yeesssss !!! 👍👍👍👍👍

Fun ending fill!
Bruce's singing would have been better had he been using a microphone.
😂😂
Happy birthday Paice! 2024
Crazy!!!
Absolutely cool
Excellent sound: one of the top singers of all time singing from the Toilette
LOL
Fantastic sincope drums
Super.
Very swing and groovy for a rock drummer.
The best....
Maravilhoso!!
Man, i love big bands!
GENIO
never miss a beat !!
El mejor baterista de todos los tiempos
Finally at the tempo it should be. Deep Purple has been playing this song way too fast for years, it's annoying. And nice to hear the revival of that classic feel on Machine Head and Made in Japan.
Excellent but don't forget cozy powel and of course buddy rich love ian paice brilliant drummer
Ian paice ti amoooooooooo❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💯💯💯💯💯
Did Paice invent the 16th note highhat beat? Can anyone think of a song that used it before 72? It later became more of a disco thing
It is interesting to see how Ian Paice works himself into the grove, or the pocket if you will. However good you are, and Ian is a legend, you have to make an effort to make it groove, you simply can't just go through the motions.
I SECOND THAT, IAN, BARRIEMORE, AND ALAN THE GREATEST
This appears to have been recorded off the drum mics. Good news for Paicey, not so good for Brucey.
Looks like Paice still has it.
2:44 is when Bruce enters. That said, Ian is a great drummer.
What a Drummer!!!!
Would have been nice to actually see Bruce while he was singing. Nermind
That china makes my heart happy!!
Good luck maestro!
What does Smoke on the Water have to do with Buddy Rich? Great job filming Ian Paice while Bruce sings...
ikr lol, and why is Bruce Dickinson there? 🤣
Buddy Rich was a big influence on drummers like Ian Paice and John Bonham. Rock drummers from that era have a very jazzy feel, including Ginger Baker, Mitch Mitchell, John Densmore, just to name a few. Listen to Made in Japan and you'll realise that Deep Purple was something of a jazz band in some ways, with really outstanding and unique musicians.
@@pallhe Deep Purple are one of a kind - blending classical, jazz, blues, R&B, and early rock n' roll, and producing seminal recordings that influenced heavy metal, hard rock, stoner rock. I believe Deep Purple has been more influential across a broad range of hard rock and heavy metal over the past 50 years, than any other band. .... Try to find a well known hard rock band that _doesn't_ include someone who has played with a member of Deep Purple, Rainbow, or Whitesnake! There are a few out there, but mostly ones like Rush that had a very stable lineup.
Good use of rebound. Nice.
