Johnny Cash was they one who pushed for Sara to return towards the end of her life without him Sara never would of returned to music.

I just want to cry. Johnny was soooo messed up.. So thankful johnny finally got off drugs. Just one of the many things i love about June. I believe she saved Johnny. Love me some Johnny and June... 💞

As messed up as he was people don’t ever give Johnny credit for how much respect he has for the carter family, he knows all about them and their history. He was their biggest fan and June knew that I believe this played a role in her love for him. A true man of music because that’s what she was a musical woman

I’ll tell you what, seeing Johnny in this clip causes me to offer June and her family MUCH respect! All I see is a strung out addict. But those folks saw his potential.❤️! Wow! And their love and commitment towards that addict was truly a testament used to “set the captive free!!!” Dear LORD, please bless me with that type of an anointing! After being with the Carters, the Johnny I grew up seeing was NOTHING like the fidgeting drug addict THEY knew!

It’s was mainly due to June’s mother Maybelle she basically fixed and saved this man, she moved into his home and never left till he was clean then he was allowed to marry June, she sent any bad people in his life away from his door, Maybelle was an amazing lady really something special, but this is not the only star she saved and she was even a nurse and choose to help people more than be a star in the music business, Johnny admired Maybelle and was her biggest fan he was even responsible for getting Sara out of retirement.

@@carterfamilychannel, You know, your words are causing tears to well in my eyes because I have been pleading to God to help me show respect and love towards the many addicts I encounter on a daily basis in my current city. Dear Lord, Mother Maybelle, the title is truly used as an honorarium, set a standard with EVERY gift the Good Lord provided her! As the Bible says, “Well done good and faithful servant” for “in as much as you have done to the very least…you have done it unto Me” (Jesus Christ)!!!
Thank you for sharing, really! And pray that I can be used in such a manner. The Lord would not allow me to cross the paths of these hurt souls if he expected me to simply walk past them while avoiding with a frown.🥲🙏✝️!!!

@@JustAThought155 Thank you :) Maybelle really was a gift from the lord on earth she did so much for so many not just though her music but as a good person, we need more like her to save this world, the real person is lost behind addiction and needs help.

I find June’s speaking about AP and describing of the early concerts very clear, consise, and calm. Here she was in front of the huge folk music star, Peter Seeger, "holding our attention," just she describes AP, Maybelle, and Sara doing.
Thank you for posting this terrific video.

AP died in 1960 and there is no film of him. He is a bit of a mystery so it is good to hear June talk about him. I would love to heard AP's stories about how he found these songs and which ones he wrote himself.
