Nothing better than a Tesla road trip. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for a great video. All the best to you and your family.
Love the car love the video good luck with your future videos
Great video. Love that table for the Tesla
love it-breathtaking content~have a good one, Steve~
Good video, motivated me to take my first trip to Europe in my Model Y. Thanks
Another great video Steve, car looks great. I bought a blue MYP as I said on a previous comment but the red is tempting!
I fancy a road trip myself. The kids waving in the background gave me a chuckle, my three would do that too!
That was a great one, Steve. Loved it. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it, have g great weekend!
Great video, Ghent is worth checking out. Love the car but I cannot imagine your muddy Gtech in the back with that interior Steve.
Great video Steve. The Y is my dream ev. Not sure how I’m going to afford one but mortgage ends soon! Please keep them coming.
Another great video Steve
Glad you enjoyed it
You could charge in French side next to eurotunnel there is a SUC there 8 stalls and 5 on the other
‘Overnight ferry’ ? That ship is amazing lol
You can pre book charhing on the ferry as I have done before with some companies and charging was free for me. Worth checking and booking in advance of your trip.
Great to know!
We want to get the MYP next year but not sure if it comes with the chargers when you buy it.
Also we want to get the Zappi charger so we can use excess solar to charge the car. Ideally it would be nice to have the Tesla wall charger but I wish it had the option to charge with excess solar etc
Birchanger green is my local supercharger 😂 luckily they have 20 superchargers now
I’m sooo pleased they’ve improved it.
Welcome in my home country 🇱🇺
Loving your videos! I myself keep going back and forth between the Red and Blue. I lean Red but some reds I see look apple red which I can't stand! I want it closer to the Ultra Red of which sometimes I see the Y reds get close to. I love the Blue too.....do you notice that the reds are different at times? Tesla says they have never changed the reds for the 3/Ys (not counting the Highland 3) .
Glad you’re enjoying them!
Yes! Some reds look Matt/dull to me and some look gloss.
Thought it was just me!
@@SteveJulien OK so irs or just me then?!? The brighter candy apple red is gross! The red you have looks closer to the ultra red. Dp you have any regret going red and all? It's so in your face and might be hard in the eyes after a bit. Whereas blue or white don't have that feel.
Planning to go to nothingham (warhammer world) with a model y lr rwd. It seems the boat is quite expensive. What is the best option, boat or tunnel?
Thanks for the video! What was the ferry service called?
Thanks! Stena Line
thank you! @@SteveJulien
Hello Steve, found your great channel the past few days while I’ve been weighing up the move from ICE to either a Model Y LR or Performance. Whilst the head says LR heart keeps pulling at the Performance. I’m looking at used cars around 1 year old. Have you had any issues with the 21” wheels? I’m just afraid of having issues on my 3 times a year 1500-2000 mile road trips from East of England to The Cairngorms in Scotland.
I love the performance and the look of the wheels. They are VERY easy to kerb though as almost flush with the tire wall.
@@SteveJulien Thankyou Steve. Think I’m going to take the plunge on the MYP 😁
@@SteveJulien had my model y performance 8 days now and wow what a car! Can’t stop finding excuses to go for drives in it 😂 heading up to the Scottish highlands with it next month so can’t wait! I’ve already got the Tesla roof bars so be interesting to see how my Thule roofbox affects the range, but not overly worried due to the excellent Tesla supercharger network which I’ve used one time already.
@@jgreg82Brilliant! They are amazing cars. Have fun!
Hi Steve, Great video. I'm planning on doing a road trip in the summer to France (about an hour south of Toulouse) with my MY. What do I need to do with the headlights? I used to have to put blanking tape over part of the lights on previous cars but don't know if this is needed with a 2022 MY? Do you know if the adaptive headlights introduced a couple of months ago with an update will know when I'm in France? Other than the connectors that come with the car, can you please explain what adaptors I may need if I want to plug in to a standard wall plug please? Or if I stay in a campsite overnight can I just plug in? Thanks in advance.
Glad you liked it!
I dont have a solution for the lights, sorry.
Below will cover granny charging in France. I went for the set up shown, another family we travelled with charged in the same location using his 3 pin charging cable and a travel adapter (seemed a little risky to me, but has worked for several years for him)

@@SteveJulien thanks for the quick reply Steve. Appreciate it.
Hi Steve, on your trips to France, did you use one of those Toll Roll Tags (Telepeage Tag) by any chance? I'm having real difficulty in setting up a Direct Debit using the required SEPA method (European DD system). Despite having tried using accounts from two different UK banks, both of which are members of SEPA, the supplier site says my bank can't accept SEPA?? Any advice you can give would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. O
Hi, I use Emovis Tag. It’s always been excellent.
Amsterdam and home bro
Such a contrast seeing ev road trips with Tesla (excellent) vs other brands (frustrating).
Only Tesla fanboys see a contrast in Europe. This is not the USA.
Can anyone advise please...... TESLA Hmmmmmm!!!!! I took ownership of a brand new AWD Model Y on the 23rd of January 2024, and in a little over 2 weeks I have done 760 miles. I don't have a charger at home so I charge at Tesla superchargers at 40p a KW. I go before I start work at 5am when it is the cheapest rate. I did do just over 100 miles of charge at the local shell garge which cost me £26.81 the other 4 superchargers cost me a total of £80.40 thats a whopping £107.21 in 17 days. Does anyone think this is correct or do they think I have an issue with my battery. To be honest the first few day I did put my foot down and have the heating on, some mornng I don't have the heating on at all.
I have a 2013 BMW M Sport Diesel and costs me just over £80 to fill it and I would get around 600 miles to a tank of diesel. I regret getting a Tesla now.....
That's £0.1411p per mile (£107.21/760= £0.1411) and remember when you have your foot down it has a big difference also having on your aircon.
Also in the two weeks you probably had your cameras all active and they pinch a few miles overnight.
