Nine months and counting, I start the day of my 62nd birthday as planned, but I'm spending my entire 62nd year in Alaska. I love "joining" you two on adventures, so blessed to have an adventurous best friend!
I now get why people put up with the difficult winters in Alaska--for the summer peace! That sense of remoteness, quiet, strength, isolation, and beauty that is so accessible to those who have the courage and experience to trust their skills--it's like nowhere else. I was relieved when you guys consolidated! Inflatables can never be as aqudynamic as the canoe. The drag was really slowing you down! Great idea for the tent bathroom! It gave a little privacy and may have prevented bug bites in uncomfortable places! 🙂

This was a real feel-good video and I am looking forward to part 2. Those mosquitoes look absolutely horrific. Here in Scotland, we have a smaller flying pest called the midgie and I know from personal experience they can absolutely ruin camping trips. We are lucky to be living in times where we have devices and clothing to thwart such flying pests and make life bearable. Take care now.

Looks like you ladies and the gentleman Moose are having a good time. Be safe out there. I’m watching from my campsite. I get cell signal from time to time. I’m sleeping in the canopy on my pickup but have a 12 volt freezer along run on solar so I can stay longer and not deal with ice. Very nice and relaxing. We used those skeeter coils in Hawaii while I was stationed there in the service. They work well.

Looks like you ladies and the gentleman Moose are having a good time. Be safe out there. I’m watching from my campsite. I get cell signal from time to time. I’m sleeping in the canopy on my pickup but have a 12 volt freezer along run on solar so I can stay longer and not deal with ice. Very nice and relaxing. We used those skeeter coils in Hawaii while I was stationed there in the service. They work well.

Best friends drunk happy on Nature - the good life. Love seeing how settled Moose got. Happy dog. Going on a backpack trip in 5 days here in Canada and doing it in a hammock for the 1st time. At 55, I'm starting to feel the ground too much for my liking!
