- This is part 3 of our Yukon River canoeing adventure from the Yukon River bridge to Ruby.
In this episode we get sidelined by a massive wind storm and have to make a hard decision about the rest of our trip. AND... when we arrive in Tanana, we find a unique solution for getting home. I never would have guessed it!

Hello Brooke, Courtney, and Wolf: well like an old time musician once said to I said the gig did not turn out so well. Jim said, you got paid, got all your equipment and no one got shot. I said yea, then said you guys had a great gig. I have to say in a round about way you three had a ball, no one got hurt and every one and all equipment got back home. You had a fantastic journey with many happy memories. Great job. Can't wait until next year. Keep safe and God Bless you three.

That's so cool when you got to the town of Tanana, drove the 'City Car', and stayed at the city office, complete with a kitchen, bathroom, and shower 🙂 That's how it should be in all cities ❤

This truly was an epic trip. Enjoyed the ups and downs you shared. You're amazing women.
This epic adventure will be something you girls talk and laugh about forever!! Those trips that turn out to be not exactly what you planned, but you adapted, are the best! How lucky you ladies are to have each other for adventure buddies! It's hard to find women who are cut out for stuff like this. I'm lucky to have a niece who's my adventure buddy, we're both pretty gritty and we always overestimate ourselves, but we always dig through it and have a ball. Our drive home is usually a lot of tears brought on by laughter at some of the situations we get ourselves into! The sense of humor you two share is so fun to watch!

You chicks.....WOW!! Honestly, Zippy & Dippy you are, without a doubt the 2 most inspirational, entertaining, soul re-building, characters on the planet! I mean, what you guys were battling was clearly starting to knock you around, but hey, it's 'just a bit of a gusty breeze'....on this little 'Yukon Creek' in A CANOE.....It's all good; we got Moosey, instant coffee, a deck of cards....oh & MAC n CHEESE. But seriously, you make each other laugh. I've watched all of your incredible adventures and you always have a laugh & it's addictive! Thank you for pushing the limits on one the most notoriously unforgiving Rivers in one of the most climatically challenging locations of North America, just to make me feel better after a crappy day. As we Aussies say, "GOOD ON YA MATE!"
I always referred to the two of you as Zippy & Dippy but you definitely earned the title of Queens of the Yukon. There is no way to deny good friends, good food, good humour, and a shotgun. Moose always guarantees a chuckle.🇨🇦

That looked like a lot of fun in the storm, though I dont like the wind much. I have always seen delays and detours as God's protection from something I knew nothing about just ahead of me. So glad you guys made it through safely!
