Isn't the fuel injected right after the inlet valve closes at the end of the first stroke , right at the start of the second stroke and than is compressed together with the air until it reaches the temperature at which it is combusted?
Greetings Sejo! The injection should happen just before maximum compresión to expand the fuel.
if you check the manuals for injection timing you will discover how many degrees of the crankshaft before top dead center the injector should open.
Maybe you are thinking of the Otto cycle where air fuel mixture enters together to the cylinder and are ignited in top dead center?
I'll also add that pre-injection is actually a fault that must be troubleshooted and corrected
This is because it doesn't take full advantage of the total compresión power (due to premature expansion) and also it doesn't promote full combustion (combustion is better as an atomized spray just as it leaves the injector).
If you check out my video on fuel injectors maybe you can visualize better and even see a possible cause of premature injection (loosening of the locknut and pressure adjusting nut / needle not seated properly or worn / maybe some others that I must experience)
Sir how can you determine if the engine is a 2stroke or 4stroke type
Hello dude, lots of things are different, the combustion cycle per revolutions of crank shaft, engine speed and power, constant pressure vs constant volume theory! but the most simple way to determine if an engine is 2 stroke or 4 stroke is the revolutions per minute.. Usually 2 stroke engines are slower but more powerful (more kw/HP) but 4 stroke engineers are faster.

Hello! For sure I'll make some videos about the main engine, you can see some of it on the air compressor and purifiers video however for explanation Videos Im still not responsible for much of the main engine other than preparing it for departure and anchoring.
