Thanks for the heads up! "J00" is not among the driver bits in my 110-piece kit and I don't wish to buy any more screwdrivers. I own a Mini 4 Pro and just now was able to confirm that the common "1.0" flat bit works just fine on my propeller screws. I am able to apply more than sufficient torque in either direction without a trace of damage to the heads. Hope this helps someone.
I found this video was very helpful. One of my drones is a mini 2 and will need to change the propellers at some point, so i’m glad I watched this video. Great tips and demonstration. 👍🏴
I only tried to use the screwdriver (about 6.3 seconds!) provided ONCE! My hands are too big for those tiny handled ‘tools’! So, IMMEDIATELY I went to my own tools and got a larger handled that’s proper, fits my hand and has the proper J000 that works just great! Also have 12-16 spare pairs of all blades that all come with new screws. Fortunately with better skilled flying, have had few needs to replace but a few. Thanks for the post!
The ONLY problem with this video is that i did not see it before i rounded out the screws with that faulty provided driver :( but thank God there was no damage and thanks to your video i now know im not crazy...it really is wrong...lol thanks again for the great in depth video my friend...may God bless you and loved ones i pray...
Great vid with great tips, thanks! I see red and yellow stickers on the back of each leg of your drone. Did you add those before or after the seagull attack? Those stickers, esp. red, are supposed to scare birds away. There are graet vids on YT on that topic. One more tip is a flashing strobe. I see velcro on your drone. Is this for attaching a strobe? Did you install the strobe before or after seagull attack? Thanks for taking the time to reply :-).
Thank you for all the good tips , really helpful if you attach the link for those screwdriver set . I got those same issues with those screw heads & what dji came up with unimpressive screw driver choice for pilot.
They aren’t antenna extenders… I modified my RC, removing the internal (low-gain) plate antennas and replacing them with SMA external antenna ports, onto which are screwed a pair of 16dBi high-gain antennas, increasing my signal quality and reliability considerably. Of course, this modification does void the warranty.
Not everyone will strip the screws using the incorrect screwdriver, but a great many have and continue to. I do also clarify "thread lock" whenever I mention "LocTite" (which I know is a brand, and yes I doubt DJI would use it because they have cheaper alternatives available)

I had absolutely the same problem. I bought the Ifixit kit and worked perfectly ! Thanks a lot. Very helpful !!!
I saw this vid last week, and ordered the Ifixit Mako as well. Just received it today, an excellent quality piece of kit.
Pretty good video. Next time you should condense it in about two minutes. You’d probably get a ton more views.
Nothing at all wrong with this video length especially if your trying to solve problem or learn.

Thank you!
excellent tutorial. Thank you sir
A definite keeper for inevitable future reference. Excellent detailed comments. I’m off to replace my DJI screw driver!
Great vid with great tips, thanks!

There's also a marking on the blade and corresponding location.

mate!insane ,
Awesome video, thank you for the information
Thanks, very helpful.
Screwdriver with drone should never be used.....
Hi,. That is very true, i have just very nearly striped the the top have a screw using it and was very careful too. why they provide such a thing.
Can you please provide link to where you bought the JIS0 screwdriver?
Description updated with links and info on the kit I recommend.
Is it a J00 or a J000... I saw a ref to J000 elsewhere
Hi, where did you get those antenna extenders please, I'd really like to get some?

Turn the drone sideways to install screws. Then they will not fall into motor
Why do these screws strip so easily? Is there a more robust replacement option for the screw itself, i.e., just something of higher quality?
i’ve never stripped the jdi screws using their screwdriver.
loctite is a brand name and that is not what dji uses.
Not everyone will strip the screws using the incorrect screwdriver, but a great many have and continue to.

Pretty sure the props have narks on them to determine where they go on DJI Mini anyway..no?
Nice video mate!!!
