- Decided to pick up the ol' Streamliner for this one, seeing as the broadtron pickups are the closest thing I have to humbuckers while I'm waiting for new strings to put on the SG.
The mix on this one might sound a bit piercing at times, I'm currently in the process of learning how to properly dial in and EQ insanely distorted tones like John Dwyers fuzz ones.
Recorded using a Gretsch G2655T Streamliner through a Boss Katana MKII 50.
Pedals: EHX Big Muff
Tuning: D Standard
Gelatinious Cube is taken from the album A Weird Exits by Thee Oh Sees, courtesy of Castleface Records.
hey man, awesome cover!
tell me, are those sound absorbing panels making any difference for you? I also play and record music in the attic and was thinking about buying some haha
Thanks man! This was back when I still lived with my parents where I used to play in the attic as well! I originally got these foam panels just for acoustic treatment. There used to be a lot of reverb and such going on in there, so I put the panels up to dampen that down a bit. As far as noise treatment goes I can't recall it did that much though
@@JasperSmits1 yeah, just noticed the vid is 2 years old hahah
same thing here, with the reverb... guessing it's worth a shot, I'll see
have a good one!
🤙
What guitar is that?
It's a Gretsch G2655T Streamliner! I always leave the gear used in the description in case you're interested. :)
@@JasperSmits1 thanks bro
