    Thank you so much! I'm planning to do the same mod to my 335i and was searching for a overview of the parts numbers needed, so this helps me a lot! Great video, will check out your channel for more helpful 35i content!

    Hi there have just found your videos big thumbs up great stuff , I'm running a 470 bhp M135i lci all the work done by myself. I do like the look of the sump and oil pump upgrade I can imagine the bits were quite expensive.

    Hello, currently have a N55b30m0 with a big boost 3.4 turbo and I’m looking to strengthen the internals. If the tolerances on the crank for the bearings is higher, would you be able to get away with polishing the crank to fit and oversized bearing?

    If the purple wax line would have be to big or to small for you gauge, what would this mean? Would you need to replace something?

    • @fastroadvehiclesolutions
      @fastroadvehiclesolutions  4 года назад +1

      Thibault Bulinckx yes absolutely, to big and you have to tight clearance so your bearings are the wrong size. To small and your clearance is to big so you may need to go up a size on the bearing

    • @fastroadvehiclesolutions
      @fastroadvehiclesolutions  3 года назад

      Torque is specified by the bolt manufacturer ARP, and shell clearance is specified by the manufacturer

    Would there be anything stopping you from just fitting the S55 sump and oil pick up to the original pump? While in your application the complete upgrade is required but for someone looking for a more robust but cheaper solution would that be worthwhile?

    • @fastroadvehiclesolutions
      @fastroadvehiclesolutions  4 года назад +2

      To make it worthwhile you’d need to fit the s55 sump and the pickup as they match up and create a seal that doesn’t allow oil out, but yes you could get away with not fitting the oil pump and scavenger pump !

    Interested to see if the sump touched the steering rack bolts that protrude slightly?
    I just did the same job and the sump is catching the rack, so we plan to file the rack slightly and raise the engine with shims by maybe 5mm.
    How did you get around it, cheers Lee

      It did hit the rack buddy but we spaced the engine up a little

      flawlessko if it’s just a preventative thing you’d be looking around £1200 that’s what most places charge , however if you have a bottom end failure you are going to need allot more work
