- Today we made a start on the N55 Engine for the M135i race car build.
we are planning on upgrading the turbo actuator arm, fitting new king bottom end bearings, arp rod bolts, M2 S55 oil pump, S55 sump and crank hub lockout kit.
I have made a start in the video by removing the turbo, sump and a few other ancillaries. we will go into more detail in the next episodes.

Very informative had a n55 at 545bhp
Failed recently heavy missfire metal in the sump
Turned out weve spun the main on cylinder 1 couldn't make sense why but the way you've explained about there being a kit for the main crank bolt explains a lot
Great video, I didn’t realise the N55 also suffers from the crankhub failure.
Unfortunately the design is very similar if not the same as the S55 however these aren’t as highly strung in standard form, their for the issue doesn’t rear its ugly head as often. However this engine will be producing more power than a standard S55 for a prolonged period of time so it’s best to get it done.

as i know the n55 i not good for more power. it has crankshaft and crankshaft bearing problems.
