Yep. Rarely not in my player (holds six cds)
This is probably my favorite Satch song. Maybe it's because it's in the Lydian mode, and done so well. It just sounds so unique and memorable.
Best G3 I ever attended. '96 (hard to believe it was that long ago). Satriani, Johnson, and Vai. Even being in the same county, much less the same building, with those immortals was something I will treasure the rest of my life.
Just amazing talent! Thanx you!!❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
In 1967 I picked up a guitar at 7, took lessons at 13 from Denny Zager, more lessons at 15 and then heard Jeff Beck's Blow by Blow and realized I had very little chance of being a Professional Guitar Player, but i still jammed, got bloody finger tips and was good enough to play in cover bands during College. Then I heard Satch and thanked God i chose to get a Degree in Elec Engineering. And now in2023 I have a good life and spend more time unplugged playing acoustic....but i still have over 20 guitars, Amps and PA and still bend strings at least 3 nights a week. Thanks Joe and Jeff for the Inspiration to play and love the Guitar and the reality of what i had the talent and will to Aspire to.
Seems Joe had a lot of fun that night. What a tour through emotion.
I remember listening to this Jam 20 years ago , as loud as possible while going 120-40 mph across the desert in a classic Hot Rod over and over again, with a hundred miles between point a and b. I was addicted. Every time I hear this song it reminds me and it equates to an adrenaline rush that Joe has always been able to dish out. Joe is part of the reason I play guitar and above all, I still believe he is the best.
You aren't alone
I have similar experiences in my Vette. Loud as possible with the pedal mashed in the AZ desert.
35 years later.. I still have some chills at some key moments.
His melodies are amazing. He's the only guitar player I think we're you can sing his solos. Such a great player. I've seen him 3 times. Amazing!!
Joe is the Master of tone, he has a beautiful voice with his axe.
he's amazing..and when he gives tutorials, his articulation is spot on..the man's a genius..I mean who can consistantly draw thousands of people, head of a band, without lyrics?
I’m 56 years old. When i started listening to early Satriani, my friends looked at me like wth is that?? All i could say, its Joe… listen and learn….
Joe Satriani can be just magic, not more, not less.
today is my birthday, and our Anniversary. Joe your da man and I'm celebrating 32 years of Joe! God bless you.
What you have to admire is that he didn't trip over anything despite wearing sunglasses in a very dark room with multiple things to stumble on.
My best friend immersed himself in Joe's music after his Mum died of cancer when we were both 13. I talked about him tonight. We haven't spoken in years. Simon Bassett if you see this message, get in touch. X
Drums/bass/electric/acoustic - yes that’s all you need!!! Pure sonic joy!

This song still gives me goosebumps when I listen to it.
I'll never forget the first time hearing this and was thinking oh...shit yeah this guy is a genius on guitar.
Would listen to Joe at full volume when driving to the beach for a surf - perfect conditioning music!
This is the tune that introduced me to the Satriani magic about 3 decades ago. Timeless stuff.

Absolutely one of the best ever ...i haven't heard one bad song from him
He has plenty but the amount of amazing songs over his entire career can’t be topped
i will was a never give a fuck forthat gay
The best guitarist of the World and of full Time.
I love Steve Vai, but Satch's whammy bar use is much more tasteful to me. Never ever gets old.
i respect your opinion but for me its the opposite, vais whammy bar is mich more controlled imo. but theres no point in arguing i guess, theyre both absolute legends
