Reading all of the wonderful and nostalgic comments below, definitely echo awesome memories . For me ,Sunday nights and Disney was a ritual 10 years before most of you. And the period then was of a country NOT divided ,it was confort and families doing things together. Disney opened our minds to imagine and dreams can be possible. The generations we came from made a lot of history for the better, in a short period time. Thanks for posting the movie and reminding us all things good are possible when we stand together
when has our country never been divided? and when was it the troubles of any state, county, city, town, or home EVER stopped families from being & enjoying one another? i am originally from Sweden, my twin brother Luka & i came here after Sweden opened it's closed minds to dual citizenships in 2005, fully i believe 10 yrs later if i remember my dates correctly bc no way were we about to abandon one citizenship to gain another, & just like in any country the hardships of even a next door neighbor never ever stopped an American family of actually wanting to be with & loving those surrounding them? NEVER, even 10 yrs before most, America is built on families & tradition, it isn't just colors, activities, bondings, all of that goodness that make America or anywhere majestic & a must see to experience, it is the traditions of families, communities, religions, even strangers all embracing one another to uphold Americas values & we adore America just as much as we adore Sweden, & we are citizens of both, we adore the vast differences America holds in it's screaming cities, rolling hills, back alleys, baseball diamonds, pizza huts😂😂 all of that, but your comment is very well said❤
Back in grade school days in the 70's I had read the book first which I had bought through the Scholastic Book Club. One of my first "grown-up" books (no pictures!) I had ever read. I saw the movie some months later on The Wonderful World Of Disney. It is still one of my favorite Disney live action movies.
My first real memories of Wonderful World of Disney was Toby Tyler. The whole family sitting in the living room on Sunday nights to watch. Great to see this one now. Remember seeing it too.
I was four years old when I saw this the first time. All I remembered was "Dracula's Castle" was in the title and "Jody" of "Family Affair" was in it. It's almost otherworldly to see it again after 41 years.
It's like watching live action Scooby Doo. "If it weren't for those pesky kids & their dog too!" I wish I could find the 1st part, this was a fun story!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I'M 32....AND IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SINCE I HAD IT ON BETA CASSETTE WHEN I WAS ABOUT 5 YEARS OLD. NOW I GET TO SHOW MY WIFE AND MY STEPSON A PIECE OF MY CHILDHOOD!
Only part I have from an early 90's recording, could have been worse IE only having the first half. I have seen a full copy posted on somewhere on youtube if you search around. They just don't make shows like this anymore everything today is so contrived.
Sorry no, I recorded this about 20 years ago have not seen is played anywhere since, could have been worse at least they have scenes from part one then go to finish, would have been a real drag to only have part 1.
This is listed as 1973 on IMDB. Anyway, I was 5 or 6 and I remember the fireworks. I could have sworn the sheriff said "Fireworks? It's not the 4th of July." I wonder if that dialog was cut out.
Um filme divertido, onde um grupo de crianças está às voltas com a idéia de produzir um filme sobre vampiros.Utilizam um farol como sendo a torre do castelo do Drácula e lá acabam se envolvendo com alguns ladrões de jóias.Muito bom.
with the beautiful long haired actress Mariette Hartley. Loved her in a classic episode of Star Trek with Spock and in the two part TV episode of the Hulk where she married Bill Bixby's character and in a Gene Roddenberry TV sci fi movie might've been called Genesis and the space station TV movie with the nuclear missile on board Earth 2 TV movie
been trying to remmber the tittle of this movie with those cool actors and actress in it now i know thanks for sharing freely and Thank you Jesus for answering my prayers to find it ps at first i thought it was escape from witch mountain with castle with fire works but i bought those movies and dysne johnnson one also so i know its not that movie ps now i know its walt disneys the mystery of draculas castle ps i knew i knew thise two teens boys on sig mond and the sea monsters ps now i know its this cool movie

@@gemmalynn536 there was a time when this nation was NOT divided - obviously way before your time. I do remember it.
Remember hoping they would show longer movies so you got to stay up later. This was one of my favorites. Amazed to find these gems on here.

Back when Disney Channel was worth watching
There was no Disney Channel in 1972. This was shown on broadcast TV.
NBC....Sunday nights!
@@kevinmazura2698I just remember it on ABC. Unless the one in the 80’s was the Magical World Of Disney.
Before the evil ppl took over.
But this was from well B4 that. I watched this prime time in the seventies on one of the big 3 stations (can't remember which one broadcast Disney)
I remember as a Kid on Sunday nights we would sometimes watch this with my Dad.
That was our Sunday for my family Wild Kingdome Lassie and the Wonder full World of Disney and of course Tarzan
+Midnightcaller I loved watching wildkingdom and Tarzan
It's like watching live action Scooby Doo. "If it weren't for those pesky kids & their dog too!" I wish I could find the 1st part, this was a fun story!
We would finish dinner....get our baths...get our PJs on and all snuggle up to watch Disney on Sunday nights.....Goodbye to the America we grew up in.
Welcome to cancel culture, BLM and antifa, Americas future!
An oldie but goodie! Takes me back- thanks for sharing!
Thanks for posting....I've been looking for this for many years. Love it!

Thanks so much for posting this! Haven't seen it since it came out. Wonderful to find it! : )
I loved this movie, and at the time, wished I could have been with them. I also had the paperback book that was released at the same time.
I remember watching this on tv when I was a kid - it was in two parts.
me mom & dad would stay up sunday to watch disney when walt was still with us
These films can't last long enough for me 🥰
It's only the second half of the show but they do recap the first half when they start.
Only part I have from an early 90's recording, could have been worse IE only having the first half. I have seen a full copy posted on somewhere on youtube if you search around. They just don't make shows like this anymore everything today is so contrived.
Yea Im just glad i had part 2, it' would be a real bummer to what part 1 and not have the ending.
Just what I needed! Escape from reality via Disney!
Richard you are a gentleman and a scholar. Thanks for uploading this.
thank you! I have been looking for this for a long time
Thank you for this upload it even if you don’t have the part
wow, i remember this one.
Shop keeper played in a lot of movies :))
John Fiedler [spelling] Juror #2 from the classic "12 Angry Men" among many, many other things.
NICE MUSTANG!
Sorry no, I recorded this about 20 years ago have not seen is played anywhere since, could have been worse at least they have scenes from part one then go to finish, would have been a real drag to only have part 1.
Ultra neato!!

I think so too, Summer of 1973.
What a find! I got a German Shepherd puppy soon after this aired. Guess what I named him? WATSON!
And it even has Mariette Hartley!
This is part 2 of a two-parter. Clu Gulager’s hair looked fantastic! Too bad it wasn’t that length when he was Sheriff Deputy Sheriff Ryker.

Where is part one? I cannot find it and I am really searching for all of these wonderful episodes to watch. Thank you for posting this one!

and who can ever forget the polaroid commercials!
This is part two.
Clu Gulager was the best part of this!! Great actor!
I should say!! You should watch him on The Tall Man And The Virginian, both on RUclips, most of The Virginian with him is on INSP. Channel.
19:29 that's piglet john fiedler
A cute film and a good cast. I think Disney slipped a little, they made the bad guys drive a VW Bug. Never !! 😄
Sadly, Ted Bundy drove a VW bug...he was one of the worst real life bad guys this county has ever had.
Does anyone have the first half of this?
Way before Disney was ruined for everyone.
THE BEST TO MARIAN HARTLEY.
LOL You are so right!
where is the first half?
Too bad Walt isn't still alive!!
Do you have part 1 of Dracula’s castle

Where is part 1?
Nice, but what have this movie for kids to do with Draculas castle or Dracula? 🧛♂️
PART 2 OF STHE MOVIE.
I can't find part one!
What happened to part 1?
This is all I had a recording from like 20 years ago, could have been worse with only part 1.
True, i just discovered that i watch this stuff on my roku so cool thanks so much!
THE FIRST PART OFPART 2 IS REPEATED
How come kids back then, looked so nice and neat instead of the baggie/saggy pants of today?
you said this 5 years ago...what do you think of their dress style now.? lol
Wheres Dracula?
These original shows were the best, until the woke turned it against his simplicity. His innocence is long gone. 😢
Where is part one ?
