This beautiful song is my song for my beloved Anna who lived with me in Cove Neck right across from the bay from Billy. I love you so much baby. Can't wait until he sings this at our wedding ❤
My friend Allison's favorite Billy Joel song. She turned me on to it because I used to tell her that my home was wherever she was.We saw him at Fenway this past summer, I was completely blown away. He also played another one of her favorites The Downeaster "Alexa"...

Me and my husband's song. He played it for me in the car after a couple months of dating and said it reminded him of us. He's currently serving in the military so this songs really hits home. We got a court house marriage a few years later. With no reception or anything, he decided to pull up this song and play it in our house and have our "first dance" as a married couple right there. Now we're hoping to see billy joel this december!
15 years ago my now husband dedicated me this song and asked me to marry him. It was the most romantic marriage proposal. Since then, it became our theme song, it's on our wedding's video and forever sealed in our hearts. I can happily and lovingly say that 15 years later, we're still each other's home. Thank you Billy Joel for such an amazing gift. Thank you JESUS for blessing me with such an amazing husband❣❤😘🥰😍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I was familiar with this beautiful song but hadn’t heard it in years. I heard it shortly after my first love and I got back together after more than 35 years after we were forced to stop seeing each other (we were HS sweethearts). It made me realize that he’d been the one for me the whole time, and that my heart was at peace with him. We married forty years to the month after the day we met.

His early songs sound very Beatles, some give call to The Righteous Bros; Ray Charles, this one I see people connect with Gordon Lightfoot... Has there ever been an artist that displays so many influences as Billy Joel? A TRUE LEGEND
It's like he's got a superpower that if you throw a style and an artist at him he will digest it and come up with something great which is an original of his, but with the same vibe.
