If you've visited the Severn Valley Railway before, you'll be more used to vintage coaching stock, steam engines and heritage diesel locomotives than the modern visitor that arrived for two round trips on 27th September 2022.
Celebrating four decades of service, the SVR had a HST running between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth - thanks to Modern Railways and Cross Country.
In this video, we speak to the people who set this very special event in motion (literally), find out more about the HST and, thanks to expert videographer Mike Allen, you can watch over three minutes of footage of the high-speed train on the line!

I remember going on a special on the 2nd weekend of the HST, Paddington to Cardif and return for £2.50.
Missed out on the First weekend when they did 125mph fo £1.25.
