I think the last time I saw a smartphone out in the wild without a case on it was in 2009. Why do people still care/talk about fingerprints on the back/sides/case?

Just because you haven’t seen it doesn’t mean it doesn’t get done. I use mines without a case while at home. It’s also good to take case off and let it breath and clean it on occasions.

The 14 pro is only better in terms of high refresh 120hz. Other than that, pretty much everything is better on the iPhone 15.

i’m still using an iphone 8 and i decided to go with the 14. besides the overheating issue on iphone 15, i still love to use cable earphones and idrc about dynamic island. i take mostly normal photos too and i feel like most people wouldn’t notice the difference between the 2 cameras unless they’re analyzing it side by side.
Get the 15 i m really glad i got 15 battery life is awesome and camera is so great

@@tomkostolom6559 The 14 pro does not have 24mp or 48mp lossy. If you want 48mp you have to shoot raw on the 14 pro.

This is the iphone 15 to get this year. So far it is so underrated compared to the pro models and deserves to receive more hype. The base model on the 15 is actually a pro and much more lighter!
Aside from having the 3x zoom and ProRAW, is there really a noticeable difference in the picture quality on the 15 Pro vs the 15?
Thanks for the video man, you totally convinced me to buy the 15, I have the 11 now so its gonna be a big upgrade for me. I wasnt sure if I should wait for the 16 just because it most likely will get the 120hz display and the action button, but tbf I dont care that much about either of these things.

Great review! I actually upgraded to the iPhone 15 from a 12 PM, and while I loved the smaller form and screen, I noticed I was getting terrible eye strain and headaches within minutes of using it. I never experienced this on the PM or previous regular version. I switched to the iPhone 14 and had no eye strain or headaches at all. Did they change the type of screen for the 15? Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
it’s worth mentioning that you can’t reach the dynamic island with one hand because of the size of the 15 so even though you have it how much are you really going to use it?
I was hoping you’d test cellular on the base models. I can’t find anywhere that says if the base 15’s got the x70 modem like the pros.
The square edges is my most favorite thing about about my iPhone 13. The upgrade doesn’t seem good enough for me. Ima hold on to my phone as long as I can

Honestly, I think that this is a better value than the iPhone 15 Pro. I went from a 14 pro to this device and absolutely love it. I don’t even notice the lack of telephoto lens and 120 Hz refresh rate.

@@brightbabu4779 if the 14 Pro is less money than the 14 Pro is perfectly fine. You get a better refresh rate and basically same camera set up plus the telephoto camera. The only thing you don't get is the new updated HDR5 for photos and a USB type c charging port.

Maybe I’m wrong but I remember the iPhone 14 pro. Chip is almost the same as the iPhone 13 Chip so the 16 Chip is actually almost the same as the 13 ship so really the only people who really should upgrade if you want a better processor or maybe people with an iPhone 12 or older
iPhone 14 got the a15 from the 13pro which has an extra gpu from the vanilla 13. Phone 15 is the a16 from the 14pro. So from vanilla 13 to 15, you get extra gpu plus a 10% uplight in gpu thereafter. And some cpu uplift. And the 14 generation gets the new thermal design different from iPhone 13. Still meaningful generation over generation update. Still not vapor chamber good.

If you put on the side-by-side, maybe you could notice a difference but I’m thinking the 13 is probably and I’m going to keep her for another year but I get it. Everybody wants a shiny new toy so it’s all good.
personally, i still use my 6s that i’ve had for like 7 years. i was considering the 15 plus. On the other hand, i genuinely can not for the life of me justify paying these insane amounts of money for newer phones. it is certainly known that inflation is inevitable, but 800-900$ for a base iPhone is just peak insanity. may upgrade though since i’m on the last straw due to how unbearably slow my phone got
@@zhila5958 just get an iPhone in the used market That’s what I tend to do with all my phones. I get them one or two years from when they were sold and you get much better value for your money.
That whole new 24mp default and 48mp just fixed the whole vanilla iPhone. If most people don’t mind 60hz, this is the best vanilla iPhone to get. Just having a good enough 2x is crucial for most people. Even iPhone 13s digital 2x is not too bad, so I would say having a more lossless 2x is going to make many parents and grandparents happy.
What about that potato of camera that is the ultrawide though, turns this essentially to a 1 camera lens system.
@@ashjcoronado Yes. They should just just drop the ultrawide altogether and replace with the telephoto. But then that will cannibalize the pro models and so they put in the cheap ultrawide because they can say they have an extra camera.

But with parents and grandparents, their eyesight is slowly fading, so the improved quality will not be easily noticed.
Hoping they'll eventually add at least 90hz to the standard model. For a $800 phone, it really should have a higher refresh rate.

15 Pro supports accessories like the USB C to hdmi adapter. But I’m guessing that the regular 15 doesn’t have enough bandwidth through the port, for the hdmi adapter to work.

USB-C, Dynamic Island but above all the camera - even just zooming in on the shots you showed, you could easily see the distinctive shape of the 'T' on Max's Tesla!

Funny how no reviewers cover this. In real world use the Dynamic Island sucks and is a useless black pill that is worse than the notch
this comparision is needed 15 pro vs 15 pro max cameras, while doing 15x zoom is it only using main camera or main camera + telescope? because telescope lens uses only upto 5x, but how 15 x is better in 15 pro max than 15 pro, because both sensors are main sensors and using same camera and algorithm, if I am wrong please correct me any one. and every nX zoom need to be tested (1x, 2x,3x,4x, 4.9x, 5x,and all compare with pro model)
and video zoom too, video zoom is same in both models. so compare them with stabilization.
and every zoom level portrait edge and how the depth effect is.

No issues, I feel like I made the switch at an ideal time. The jump in performance from the 12 to the 15 is noticeable. Battery is better, camera is better, screen is better and all apps run better as a result.
I've gone for this one for the usb-c charging, a lot of my work colleagues have androids so if I get stuck for a charger then I can borrow theirs. Second reason is that I like the idea of the island camera and the third reason is for the camera. I'm going from an apple iPhone 13 and really disappointed with its front camera so hopefully get better shots when zooming in. On a side note the price is a lot better and within my price barrier. :)

Man o man. I wonder how this compares to the 13Pro- how zooming in 3-5x on the 15 compares to 3-5x using the telephoto on the 13pro. Night shots too. The 48mpxl sensor is a big deal. I won't miss promotion. What other advantages does the 13pro have over the regular 15?
i went from a 13 pro to a 15 plus. the 15 def doesn’t zoom in as much but the camera quality is still really good

Why isn’t anyone talking about that horrible (noisy, soft, fixed focus) ultrawide sensor they are still using since the 11 series, the difference between it and the main camera was already huge on the 14 and now with the much improved main camera it makes it borderline unusable, it’s lagging at least 2 generations behind that of the pro series and should’ve been updated to at least 13 pro standards, Apple being Apple, same with the 60Hz panel.
This is probably weird, But I love how the 15 has a thinner but longer earpiece. Very nostalgic lol

I did upgrade from iPhone 14 to iPhone 15 in black , the phone is gorgeous and in my opinion it’s a great choice than the pro and honestly personally I don’t mind about 120 hertz display at all.

I just ran 3DMark Extreme unlimited on my iPhone 15 Pro 256 GB. it scored 3745 overall at 22.4 FPS.

prior to install of iOS 17 on my 14 pro, I received phone calls while connected to my car via Bluetooth. Now, calls are sent to voice mail without ringing the phone/car. What the heck is happening over at Apple? Any one else experience this issue?

I prefer the the notch because the island takes up more space for being farther away from the edge.

The only real difference is the camera… So no, it’s not worth it. The sensor’s on these cameras are super tiny so when your reflect light, you lose light. Less light means lower quality. While what they did is pretty good, it’s just not worth it because most people using telephoto with want more than 120mm. That coupled with the loss of quality makes me assume it won’t be worth a grand for the upgrade.
If the 2x crop on a 48mp is 24mp. Wouldn’t it be nice if the iPhone had;
Option 1
A 48mp 2.1x lens which would allow a 4.2x zoom of 24mp.
And a 48mp 4.3x lens which would allow a 8.6x zoom of 24mp. Also allowing a 17.2x zoom of 12mp.
Option 2
A 48mp 2.1x lens which would allow a 4.2x zoom of 24mp. Also allowing a 8.4x zoom of 12mp.
And a 48mp 8.5x lens which would allow a 17x zoom of 24mp. Also allowing a 34x zoom of 12mp.

The regular 15 is genuinely excellent value for money this year. Note that 2 things will immediately date the 14 now to all models back to the X - the Notch and the Lightning connector. I would imagine that would affect resale down the line, if that is a concern.
Yes the green one is subtle, but wait till u see the blue one in person 😅… In person, pink seems to be the most colorful, green next, blue is the least colorful, I haven’t seen the yellow one, but I guess it would be in between blue and green.. and of course black is good but boring, I think we should think the blue one as an interesting white, rather than blue.. 😅

The thing I love the most about the iPhone 15 Pro is the camera because of the fantastic zoom and instead of having to haul around a heavy camera you just have to have the iPhone which is super helpful. #Gregsgadgetsgiveaway
I like the iPhone 14 because it reminds me of my old iPhone 4s, its star color is the best. This year I saved 100 euros and upgraded from iPhone 7 to 14. I now have an iPhone 13s😁

The camera certainly is. Along with USB-C and the Dynamic Island, I think you are getting a near-pro phone. I'm very impressed with the standard 15. And very UNimpressed with the 15 Pro which sucks as that was the one I had my eye on!
The Ultrawide is unchanged on the non-pro since the iPhone 11 that’s vile
"Upgrade"... it depends on which iPhone you currently have.
If you got iPhone 14, that means that you've got it for 0-12 months already, and you should wait for iPhone 16 or 17 (1-2 more years).
If your current "numbered iPhone" is 2-3 years old or older, then go for 15 or 15 Pro.
The hardest thing if you've been using iPhone 13 for exactly 2 years now. My take on this is if the battery health is still very good or good enough, wait 1 more year for iPhone 16. If the battery health is really bad then iPhone 15 or 15 Pro is a great upgrade.
Personally I stick to iPhone SE. I like the camera in the numbered iPhones but I don't wanna pay that extra money. SE is good enough for me. The apps I'm using doesn't require a numbered iPhone. I rather save money and have iPhone SE. And same thing about iPhone SE - use it for 2-4 years and then buy a new SE, or maybe you wanna go for a numbered iPhone?

You actually can do it like this: buy a new numbered iPhone: the latest. After 1 year, buy the latest, transfer all data to the new phone, make a factory reset on your 1 year old phone, sell the old phone (hope for a minimal loss) and do so each year. Is it worth it? I don't know. Never done that.
