I thought by now most people were 'stuck' in one ecosystem or the other and it would take something special to get them to shift over. No idea what the actual stats are on this though.

I used the iPhone 15 for 4 months and decided to swap to S24. The actually quality of the display an visuals of the phone itself were enough for the jump.
I hope that Samsung added a very subtle pink, and very subtle purple on the regular line up instead of dark shades

I do like the light colors, but the Samsung purple on the S24 U is gorgeous! I hated the purple on the 14 PM, but Samsung nailed it. In different lights it changes color, it's gorgeous.
Did you review the S24 with the latest (and so far only) update? Or is it the original release version?
As an android user i totally agree on one thing,Apple phone's hold there value very well and is a wise choice/ decision if u looking to sell later in 3-4 years time

Yea same. Although recently there has been alot of bugs in latest ios. More then Android actually. My mom's phone is a iPhone 13. And the notification keeps bugging out. And sometimes in calls the phone wil end the call out of no where. But I hope they fix these things in ios 18
@@PIECEOUT592i have iphone 13 aswell, the ios being better optimzed than android is the biggest mith out there. Memory management is horrbile, can't swap between 2-3 apps without refreshing, surfing on safari refreshes pages randomly, youtube app lags when swtiching in and out + it has to load the video content every time(uses more data), same with every streaming app actually, snapchat is verry buggy, sometimes it crashes and takes 10 seconds to load. Ios is very unproductive, the mail app has 2.7/5 stars on appstore, you can't even send images as attachemnts, if I use other app as Gmail for example, I have to wait with the screen and app open until the e-mail sends (for large files even 2-3 minutes depending on the data speed) and is the same for every non apple app actually. Any cloud drive other than icloud is obsolete because of that. Iclous drive is slow as fuck. Photos are actually not better than other flagships (look at mkbhd's anual blind contest). Video is better but only at night. Screens are better calibrated than any android out there. Ios 17 UI is very laggy and ram hungry actually and 18 will be even worse.
You can't multitaks at all on ios, you can't torrent, you can't use other browsers than the shitty safari (the other ones are safari skins since Apple only allows their Webkit engine on browsers). You can't sideload (deal-breaker for people with brains).
And you have to regularly restart your iphone since it starts to lag and drain battery unlike android where I had even 3000+ hours up time on my budget devices.

A very good and i would say neutral presentation of both devices. Both a very capable phones. But one thing, were the S24 pulls ahead is simply the price. Sure if you compare the msrp, they are similar. But in reality it is easier to get a big discount on the S24, either direct or through a mobile phone contract were cost over 24 Months are cheaper then the phone itself. I got my S24 as pre Order deal for ~550€ incl. Tax and got a Watch6 and a case for free on top. That is just unthinkable for an iPhone, at least here in Germany.
One thing he didn't bring up was on the iphone 15 may have usb c BUT ITS STILLL USB 2.0 SPEEDS. outrageous. the s24 has full usb 3.0 speeds for backups/file transfer

Yeah, at least the "pro" iphones have USB-3 speeds.. but it should be present on the base models too

hey@@isieclyde that depends on circumstance I would have thought. If you need to dump off your photos or whatever it may be you have on there that you would like to back up because you don't want to pay for a huge amount of cloud storage, it will seem quick enough at USB C 2.0, but if you put it next to 3.0 you will scream WHY IS MINE SO SLOW!!!!!. So, like anything, you don't notice until there is an actual comparison, sadly no memory card slot may make this scenario necessary on either phone.
No 120hz on iPhone is a deal breaker here. Period.
Also enough of this ecosystem cop out, mate. Don’t do comparison videos if ultimately you’ve to cop out on ecosystem. Makes the video completely pointless especially when you've "Let's settle it" kinda caption/click bait. 🤦♂️

@@anand.chaudhari According to tests ,Exynos still continues to be worse than Snapdragon. The gap is not huge, like it once was, but there is still some difference. Its not a coincidence that the S23 Ultra has snapdragon in all countries. Samsung considers it as the objectively better prossesor...
Well actually in the US it says 799 dollars but when you pay at the counter you end up paying a lot more. In the UK when it says 799 pounds you just pay 799 pounds and don't give more money because of VAT

Everything you picked the iphone over the samsung for can be changed in samsung settings. Nothing can be changed on an iphone
What always keeps me away from iOS is the unintuitive way to close apps out and the lack of a true back button gesture. Also most reviews will tell you they prefer the S24 Plus and S24 Ultra's camera abilities over the Pro Max.

I watch a lot of tech review videos, and this channel is definitely my favourite. Unlike most comparisons you didn't just brush it off completely as "it depends which one works for you". While it is difficult to genuinely give one winner, I finished the video satisfied with your explanation and the results. I enjoyed your tonality and way of explanation. I'm pleasantly surprised to find I enjoyed less bombarding edits and animations with the video keeping everything simple. Definitely choosing an iPhone, thanks for the review. This was ana amazing vdo. Guys i have recently bought an iphone 14 after being a Samsung stand for a long time. The seamlessness when witching bn apps, user frndly when connecting with other ios users and customization in setting are just too damn good that Samsung cant come near. But when it comes to the stuff like downloading music, converting pdf files, sharing in whatsapp and even the basic things like selecting pics is just 2 or 3 unnecessary extra steps which i hate. So rn im stuck in the middle and cant decide.
Should i sacrifice the fluidity of the iphone to small features, or get a samsung for being efficient in small activities ???
what seamless are you even talking about? my friend has iphone 14 and I have s23 ultra, s23 ultra is my primary phone and but my friend keeps an android phone beside his iphone 14 as a daily driver. I have used iphone 14, i felt its literally a trash bar nothing more than that, that ugly display, that ugly design, and more specifically not having back button, even whatsapp calls shows up in call log really bugs me off. Talking about fluidity, I dont know what are you implying here but I guess you have mac and I have windows and my s23 ultra integrates with windows properly. I can receive calls, I can share files, i can read messages on my laptop without touching my phone. Android is so convenient.

Hoi Dion. Ik gebruik nu de iPhone 12. Prima telefoon. Mijn vraag is of de accuduur van de galaxy 24 (veel) beter is dan die van de iPhone 12. Bij de iPhone 12 moet ik eigenlijk standaard na het werk de telefoon weer opladen om de avond door te komen. Is dat met de s24 dan ook zo?
Samsung heeft een betere accu ik ben overgestapt van de 14 pro Max naar de s24+ en gaat langer mee

I wonder how did you meant colors are better on iPhone, iPhone 17.0+ has software issue/bug of shifting color saturation which means photos, apps etc. doesnt look exactly how other people see it on their (not iphone) phones and even computer monitors.
When i found out about this thing, it was a dealbreaker for me, I edit pics on my phone and making something adapted to iPhone (undersaturated) and then seeing it totally different on other device is a big nono
Not to mention, iPhone pics often have warm tones to the point of casting a yellowish/orange-y hue, particularly indoors.
And I notice that he didn't even mention the ongoing iPhone issue of lens flare, especially noticeable in very low-light & nighttime shots (the notorious "green dots") 😮 😢 😅

Price is quite different in Hong Kong: got my S24 256Gb for HK$4780 with a free Samsung 65W dual charger (and a bunch of other crap I don't need), iPhone 15 256Gb is HK$7699 with just a USB cable.
In Turkey the situation is pretty same: While s24 is around 1100 in US dollars, the iphone 15 is 1500$. I also got the s24 😎
Absolutely love both of them as both have their advantages and great hardware specs this time...

For vlogs ,security, durability interms of drop tests and a higher resale value the iPhone takes the lead but interns of which phone had a better brigrer display with a higher refresh rate then the samsung takes the lead ,it has better long range zoom cameras better camera arrangement design and a more simple and interactive software system.

Hey dion really enjoyed the video, could you please do a iPhone 14 Pro vs iPhone 15 vs iPhone 15 pro? I don’t know which one I should get, due to price and battery life and the camera.
For the price, Pro is not for everyone this year. The base and plus Iphone 15 offers so many Pro features this year like dynamic island, 48 mp camera, 10x ‘zoom’. If you really want the camera, go for Pro. If you’re looking for a normal sized iphone with all the features for cheap: go for iphone 15 base model.
If you want good battery life 1000 maH more than the base, go for Iphone 15 Plus which has a bigger screen and better battery life. I have the iphone 15 base in blue. Iphone 14 Pro isnt worth it.
Conclusion: get the iphone 15 base or plus. Go for Pro if you have a good reason like the camera.

get the 15 Pro. Dion even suggested getting the normal iPhone 15 over the 14 Pro. It's just better value and lasts longer.
Hi Deon hope u well . I have an iPhone 11 and i am looking in to purchasing the iPhone 15 plus. But my wife recently got the A34 Samsung I find it has a lot of features but not as polished as the iPhone . The cost is also half that of the iPhone 15 plus . I own an Apple Watch and a Mac mini . But the value and features of the new A35 and A55 is very attractive. What do u think of these A series Samsung phones for longevity as I have the iPhone 11 since launch and it’s still runs as a brand new phone. Hi Randhir, thanks for the question. I have no experience with the A35 and A55, so very difficult to say anything that might help you. I came in a bit late into the Samsung area and in general I am impressed and I think that Samsung will more and more give Apple a run for its money. In general it is still true that iPhones hold their value better, but if the initial purchase prize is so much lower that might even out. Good luck with your decision!

Ecosystem comparison is what I’d like to see. I’m locked to Windows PC, so smooth interoperability with the smartphone is very important for me.
What iphone misses basic features :
1)"close all button"(app pinning isnt the all time solution)
2)"AoD" for base variant(s)
3)mutlitasking features
4)samsung Dex like feature
5)a must CALCULATOR HISTORY
When I saw the white balance issue i immediately knew it was Exynos chip, on snapdragon that does not exist + battery life is about 15% better overall. Hate the fact that I am forced to buy Exynos in Europe. EU should do something about this

That is a great video thanks! I have a question for all off users. In Turkey iPhone 15 256gb's cost is 2000 dollars and s24 256gb's price is 1350 dollars. Also s24 has some discounts such as student discount and exchange support. But in the scenario of the base situation, which would you buy while costs are like that?
Btw, interstingly our most of people (at least 8 out of 10 people) choose the iPhone. Idk, they admire iPhone like their mom found the Apple company
I would choose the S24. In my country, Cheapest IP 15 is 810 usd with 128 gb and cheapest S24 is 880 usd with 256 gb. As i can manage the storage with 128 gb, i went for iphone.
I used many android before and after using an apple ipad pro for 2 years im tempted to try their iphone lineup. Ended up switching from android to ios. Personally i think both hv pros and cons of their own and i found tht they are pretty similar in the end of the day. But the camera on iphone is just next level compared to the android ive been using all these years. Though i understand i switched from a middle range android to iphone which is flagship phone it's still impressive tht a smartphone camera can be this good tbh. The only downside for me switching from android to iphone is the refresh rate. But it doesn't bother me as much bcs i play mobile game mostly on my ipad pro (120hz) and only use my iphone for daily uses. Maybe after switching to iphone i will take more pictures😂
Correction at 8:19, the iPhone 15 has the last year flagship chipset A16, the iPhone 13 & iPhone 14 have the A15.
correct, I made a mistake
If I was looking for a new phone and not tied to any eco system, I would look more wider at other options or better spec. I am a Samsung user with the Galaxy S23 Ultra, so would be swayed towards Samsung S24. But, being inferior Exynos version, I would not get it. I would go for the S24 Ultra instead.

I would suggest that you only get s24 if hou can get NA model (the one with snapdragon processor) EU model with Exynos is really bad so in rhat case get iphone 15
It's interesting AGAIN. This is an ongoing, ever undecided clash.
I have a Galaxy S23+ and have been an Android (and Windows) guy forever. I know and I am absolutely not against iPhones, I am leaning towards but not ready switching to iOS just yet.
Out of these 2 I'd definitely get the S24 (despite having Exynos), however from S24+ vs iPhone 15 ProMax I'd probably get the iPhone.
I want to try iphone so bad, ive been watching a lot of videos comparing the two to help decide if i should switch to iphone or stick to samsung but that 60 hz display really stops me from getting one
any iphone pro starting from 13 pro has that 1-120hz display so its not like you cant get something like an iphone 14 pro which is very similar to the regular 15 and has that 1-120hz

As you have the Exynos it would explain some of the camera issues. It is well known that the Exynos version of S24 and S24+ have very serious problem with reproducing colors. That is in addition to the issues with the 4G/5G signal, higher power drain on idle and heating issues. I was planning to upgrade my S22 this year, as the Exynos is terrible, but Samsung made me go for Iphone... S22 Exynos is worse than Iphone SE 2022 in most cases, which shouldn't be possible.
The camera of the SD version is just as terrible as the exynos. There are comparison videos
For someone who had iPhone since the 5s I'm glad to go back to Galaxy. You can have your childish easy to use basic calculator

I would buy the Samsung over the Apple.
The iphone doesn't have a fingerprint scanner another reason why I would not go with the iphone. Apple has face unlock Samsung has both face unlock and fingerprint scanner.
Customization on the Samsung is unlimited Apple is limited on customization.
Both devices are good but Samsung is King for me.
Both phones have pros and cons. iOS and Android both have pros and cons. It all comes down to personal preference.
I like both phones. I love also how S24 has DEX. I rarely use it, but its something awesome thats available.

Nice job on the comparison but for me and I did get the s24 for multitasking and for notifications and I would say also for back gestures and customization I do have an iPhone 13 mini I use for running and for workout times, and I need to be in group chat for a work project as here in the States people are locked into iPhones for iMessage. but I can’t stand how you can’t set up the screen how you want when you put a icon somewhere on an iPhone if your screen isn’t full, it won’t stay there. It moves that really bugs me… maybe that shouldn’t be a big problem but I can’t see why that can’t be changed. I think if you get either phone you’ll be happy with it but I think the 24 is the better phone for me… I forgot the one other thing I have 60 gigs of music from back in the day when we used to burn CDs on our computer and there’s no way for me to get them on my iPhone but on my S 24 I just connect my phone to my computer and I just drag them over I can’t stand how apple no longer allows you to have music on their phones, but want you to buy Apple Music again this is a personal thing and so if you’re into Spotify or one of the other web-based music apps it won’t matter to you but for those of us who have quite the collection of music. The iPhone is a pain

I think the only reason iPhones retain they value more is the iPhone is hardly ever on some offer the most I ever seen a iPhone on promotion discount is around £50 on the other hand galaxys are almost always on some sort of offer for example, I pre ordered a s24 and got a free upgrade to 256gb instead of 128gb, free galaxy 6 smartwatch, £30 App Store credit, a case and screen protector , 2 money off voucher on top of my employee discount I paid £579 all in , since I have sold the watch for £150 the phone has cost me £429 lol no wonder other manufacturers don't hold value

In my opinion it doesnt really matter which you choose, as long as it not an old device.
To me the Iphone made more sense in the end simply because I already own other Apple devices.
I personally like the IOS operating system design more than the Android one.
S24, without a doubt. S24 has everything you need in a phone, built-in.
Also, S24 works great with any Windows 💻 or others Samsung devices.

You are failing to realise the iPhone has those things too.

I'll get smaller s flagship the day they again put SD here in india. they used sd in s22 and s23. and s23 sold really well here but they are back with exynos again with s24. it's not about how powerful the chipsets are...at all. but the reputation of exynos. everyone is sceptical of buying an expensive phone with exynos name associated to it

You're getting so, so much more with an S24. I get wanting a iPhone 15 if you just love iOS and it's ecosystem and that you just don't care much for the Pro. But other than that no S24 is much, much more worth it 😭

The samsung one is not secure though, so it cant be used.
I just got the s24 Exynos version (sadly thats the one available in my country). Fingers crossed... i hope i wont regret it knowing the bad reputation Exynos has had in the pass years.

@@Anirudhsukumar so far so good.... its not as hot as everyone says... its warm to touch but no heating issues so far.... battery is also good.... its fast and snappy performance.... i dont game much but mobile legend is smooth

Hey, I just got the S24. I compared it with the iPhone 15 and decided to go with the S24. I'm really into the new AI features, especially for writing emails and text messages for work. I can't stop using them! The AI is super helpful and does a great job.
