Thanks for the video! Is that headlight from a 2008 Cobalt by any chance? If so, would the PANAMERA LED DRL shroud fit in that housing without much, if any modification? Thanks for the help. Keep up the great work guys!
Allan Baillo The headlight is actually an EK Civic, but its very similar in size to the Cobalt light. In fact, maybe a little smaller - you should definitely be able to fit those new Panamera LED DRL shrouds in there with little/no trimming Allan
TheRetrofitSource Inc Thanks for the reply! That is good to know. I'm starting to order supplies for my girlfriends Cobalt as I am retrofitting projectors in her car for her birthday because her stock lights are absolutely terrible. I would think she would want the LED DRLs like the panamera have and I was just wondering if cutting was involved and how much you could actually cut the panameras because of the LEDs getting in the way of cutting. Thanks again!
Allan Baillo If you use the Mini D2S 3.0, that would be perfect for the Cobalt and not require any cutting to fit the Panamera LED DRL shroud on. Just a little trimming to actually install the projector in the 9007 hole, but overall pretty easy!
TheRetrofitSource Inc Thanks for the heads up. I actually just ordered some B-Stock Mini H1 6.0s that I was going to tune up to working order and that is what I was going to use on her car. But I can use those on my car. The D2S 3.0s have better light output anyways and if the install will be easier, I think I would rather go that route. I have a Mini D2S 3.0 X-Lens on my 2015 Yamaha FZ-07 and I absolutely love the output. I just choose the Mini H1s because they were smaller and I thought the D2S wouldn't fit. Thanks for all the help. You guys are great.
Just got that fixed, but for reference, here's the link. We recommend the "Quik Weld" - which has to be mixed together before it hardens. www.theretrofitsource.com/accessories/build-materials/jbweld-epoxy.html
Of course! Yes, mix together and applied before it hardens...you've got a good 10-15 min before that happens, so it wont be a huge rush. If you want to remove them in the future...well, you'd have to rip them off, but thats the point. This stuff holds!
Thanks. Would you mind answering a few more questions of a first time installer? 1. I don't have a garage or external batteries to test the beam pattern of the projectors, so I might end up coming back to the car(battery) every time for checking the alignment. Is that normal or I'm simply going to beating around the bush by doing so? 2. Would it be just fine with a 6' room instead of a 21' distance requirement for testing and adjusting the beam height? 3. How do I rotate (to get a perfect overlap) the projector or adjust their height? Mine is a G5-R model, and not sure where the screw for height adjustment is located. Thanks so much!!!
How can you remove the shroud when you tired of the same one and want a different one?

Does the shroud have to cover the rear of the projector, or is it ok to cover the front and some of the projector?
Thank you
We don't recommend using a shroud that blocks the projector itself.
It's not blocking anything, it does not reach to the rear of the projector
The JB weld link goes to 404. What's the product name and should you have to mix both the paste together and use it?! Thanks!

HELP! can i use just the shrouds like have the shrouds install with those normal factory bulbs
Do shroud makes light focused? Means narrow angle?
No, the shrouds are just covers for aesthetic purposes only. The projectors are what focuses all of the light
