Dope. Word to Slate for all the tech (*VSX*). Generated a simple python script yesterday for midi knobs and sliders to become mousewheels with adjacent buttons for speed and on/off toggles -- opens up a new workflow with existing hardware. Can hover over and control just-about-any UI with ease. Here's to 2025 and alien audio tech, buddy. We're here for it.
@@dahlhousestudios What? Ha, no. Yeah, I meant to suggest "generated" using Claude. Can ask them for a Python script to convert MIDI CC to mousewheel, how to install, and keep iterating till you dig it. Make a .bat file for ease of use. Can make simple, one-page plugins in Reaper, but JUCE and whatnot require more-advanced programming, depending on what we want to do. If you know what you want though, it's worth pursuing -- so, I'm officially signing up for your beta. Hey, was somehow fortunate enough to win a UAD set that has 'Sound City Studios' and thought of you -- haven't used yet, but the SSL G Bus Compressor and Distressor are great, of course. To 2025, buddy. You deserve a grander audience. Your content is excellent and you're authentic. Something has to change, but not you and what you do -- you da best.
@@dropLove_ Ah I saw "generated script" and made some assumptions lol. What I want to do is bring back my favourite algo reverb plugin from the dead. A reverb that appears to have been abandoned. My bro and I have even tried talking to the devs (their page is still up) but no dice-they've moved on. I'd love to get it into the VST3 world, so that I won't need a wrapper to run it. And being able to give it away as a Dahl House plugin would be a cool brand move too (doubt I'd be able to sell it, unless we could get a license from the original devs). But profit is a distant third in priorities. I've been looking into JUCE and third-party coders, but the work or fees are astronomical. Thanks for all the kind words man! You're an OG.
great video
Thanks! There eventually will be 130 of these vids😅

That's amazing. Wish I'd stuck with it, learning code. But I fell off in the 90s.
Say, do you know how to make custom plugins? I have an idea… 💡
