It uses symmetry over Remote Frame Buffer (RFB), so does that answer your question?: 128-bit AES, which for today's technology is more than enought to protect a connection (unless you think someone has a PC with a qubit based architecture sniffing your connection, in that scenario, encryption is the least of your security problems). Now, since you asked, I assumed you have limited understanding on encryption mecanisms on these type of products (hopefully the key size didn't confused you) so just let me tell you that if you want stonger cryptographic on it (key size wise) you should purchase the enterprise version and change the preference on the server to use encryption as per your demand. do i need to have VNC installed also on the MAC? because when i get to the step on VNC and i write the adress of the mac, it's asking me for a user name and password..if i write the mac name and is vnc password...i have an error message

They must be on the same network/WiFi for this to work. You can do it remotely (i.e. from any network such as Starbucks) but you must configure your router to allow RDP on a port. The IP address will be different too because it will be public IP versus local IP. It requires some extra configuration but can be done.

VNC is so slow, even on a 1GB/s network connection... I would rather pay and have any RDP system on my MacOS than VNC.

hi, I actually downloaded the vnc but I didn't put a password for it. so I downloaded it only for like an hour than I deleted it. will I be able to get hacked or something. btw I was using the realvnc. please I really hope answer me as soon as possible because I don't want my MacBook or iPhone get hacked.

Maybe you can setup a home vpn or forward the port thought your isp personally i prefer a home vpn but it can be slower.

@@pillettadoinswartsh4974 I got it to work with tightVNC but not realVNC. Not sure why but realVNC always asking for a username even though I shouldn't need one since tightVNC doesn't request for one.

why be stuck with vnc? vnc totally sucks compared to Microsoft remote desktop. I'm so glad I dont have to use a mac very often. This remote desktop experience is horrible, so slow, and video is impossible.

on time of 1:38 of video , should be something more explanations need , you should enter on All users "options" and make them all options selected.
No good, this is ONLY usable if you are on the SAME local network, like in your home, can't use (without special setup on your router, complicated) to do it from a different network/place.
