I appreciate the video man, super helpful to kinda decide which way to go when it comes to visual upgrades on this bike. Sometimes less is more and trying to keep it simple is the way to go on the MT-09. Getting my 2023 MT next month hopefully.

Just got mine home yesterday and I’m beyond stoked. Waited a year for this bike to be available in my area on the east coast. Originally I had a deposit on the blue one but my patience was running really thin and a buyer backed out of a black one at a different dealership so I was able to head right over and pick it up same day. This bike is a unicorn around my way! Every dealer only had one or two ordered and they were reserved and still haven’t been invoiced! I lucked out. Really digging the black one too. I’m starting my accessories order today and it a long list. First order is going to be techspec snakeskin pads, yosh fender eliminator kit, frame sliders and spools, and I am going to pre order the puig sport windscreen in smoke which will be shipping out November 21st. Also ASV shorty levers, crg bar end mirrors, yoshi AT2 Exhaust, comfort seat and the list goes on. Can’t wait to get it where I want it. Only have about 50 miles on it so far but hands down…it’s probably the most fun I’ve had on two wheels. The bike is amazing. Keep the videos coming brother! Looking good 👊🏼👌🏼

You should definitely do front fork sliders from evotech. They also make some really nice rear swing arm sliders for the back. Evotech bangs man!

Love your bike and appreciate your channel! My 2022 MT-09sp should arrive next month and you've given me some great ideas! However, I would caution you against using your swingarm spools as sliders. Look at the mount your swingarm sliders are bolted to. Those will break off with little more than a tip over in a parking lot. That mount is only designed to support the static vertical weight of the rear end with a lift stand, not lateral force of a fall or slide. I would hate to see your beautiful bike get damaged. I recommend getting the smallest, shortest spools you can find and then installing rear axle sliders that protrude far enough to protect the spools from a tip-over a or a slide. Protect that swingarm! Peace!

Took your advice on the rad guard and windscreen. Excellent advice. I also installed the TST integrated tail light and their undertail replacement cover. I just bought the CRG handlebar mirrors but now I am wondering if you ended up changing the front brake fluid reservoir? I see you put a sock on it but have you considered either re-positioning it or installing an after market version? Thanks for the video!
Hey brother, thanks for checking out the channel. To be honest, I’ve never really considered that. It doesn’t really bother me in the sock covers it. But I have seen some people change it for a square looking reservoir, but I do not know the brand. Thanks for checking out the channel and ride safe.
Dig the videos man, a bike i am seriously considering buying. That said, what are your thoughts on a steering damper?
Definitely need one. After 120mph gets pretty shaky. But I have yet to find one as of yet :( but they are still fun and steady without one.

Your right! I’ll look into a better light system, it’s just so hot in the direct son and to be honest I swear really easy. It was 96 degrees yesterday lol so I need shade. But to your point I will look into better lighting. Thank you for the constructive criticism. 🙏

@YamahaYari hey brother so on the MT09 2021 on the exhaust pick by the back break it haves a screw on the back part from the boat what tool you used to take that one off?
I believe it’s all Allen keys. Metric size.
A great upgrade is changing the front tape cables on fornt of headlight. Do you have any ideas?

I like the tank Pads, and the radiator Protektor! Everything else i dont really need. The sound is so extremly good with the stock exhaust, imho. And I wish it was allowed in my country, to mount the licence plate like you did😆
What i really would like to change is the position of the headlight and handlebars, bring them down 2-3cm.
(Maybe a winter Projekt)
I would also like to try straighter handlebars, i feel them pressing slightly against my outside palm, and my hands are getting numb.

Sounds good, I wish you could mount the plate differently too, makes the bike look so much better. But every country is slightly different. I did see a pic with the light assembly mounted lower as well. Looked great! New bars could be a good upgrade. I see many others installing the Pro Tapper Evo Car Michael’s they can be wider an they are black, so may be worth looking into. But I have to discomfort on the stock bars, just would like them black instead:)

The pro taper car michael also came up when i did research, thanks for the tip! Mine is already black because its the sp version.
The headlight lowering is easy in the drawing programs but will be a real headache in real life, because the frame kinda integrates in it, so you have to move it forward about 15mm first, before you move it down😣, and cablelength and stuff... But when i move the handlebars with it, cables should be fine, but i have to machine custom risers, and be aware of not hitting the tank when steering😆😆 seems i bought me a lot of work...

I've been looking at this bike for awhile now. I've had the same bike since 2004, cbr1000rr but not as enjoyable as it was when I was younger. Just not comfortable anymore. My brother has the bmw s1000r love that bike bit too pricey. Recently landed a new job so in the spring planning on getting the mt09 sp.
I hope you get it soon, really great bike. Good seating position and really comfy. But packs a lot of punch! So it’s really the whole package. Thanks for watching.
@yamayari yes definitely looking forward to it. Also in the middle of supermoto'ing my 19 yamaha wr450. Have the wheel and tire combo on order. It's not street legal in jersey going through dirt legal now. And doing a complete rebuild on the 04 cbr1000rr

Hey @YamaYari. Did you ever get any problems with the low mount plate after this video? Meaning we’re the cops okay with it. Reviews seem to be mixed over whether it’s legal or not

Tidy tail by TST is in development. But really for US bikes you can mount the plate using the Yamaha factory screws. All the links are in the video description. Not in the comments.
I’m 6’1 and considering an mt09 . Haven’t been ride one owing to lack of availability. Anyone have any issues being 6 feet plus on the bike ?

whats nice about the 21 mt 09 if the engine is off and you do a full shift up it goes into neutral its so convenient
So true. Makes maintenance very easy too.
I don’t understand what you mean about off bike is off you shift up to neutral, all my bikes do that?
I've been searching and couldn't find it anywhere. I just put a 17tooth sprocket on my sp. I haven't got a chance to ride/test it yet. I'll let you know what my results are soon.

@@yamayari8351 Unfortunately it is not worth it. With cc on going 60 I got 50mpg. My top speed may be highe but it took me so mutch longer to accelerate that I just stopped at 130. The bike still power wheelies in 1st no problem but in 2nd its a struggle now. I'll be switching back to oem tomorrow.

are the mirros for both sides ? Or is there a separately left and right mirror.
You can use legally only one in Florida. But for better view I use two. An they are sold in singles, not pairs.
What about suspension? Are you OK with stock rear shock?
You know, I want to say yes. An I’m a big boy lol pushing 220, I probably should adjust it a little stiffer but it feel so smooth an my back does not suffer that I’m scared to adjust it. But to me the front suspension is perfect for me.

Bro is there any heating issues after changing the exhaust. I just installed it and went for a small ride around the block the engine light came up and the radiator and the hoses are hot . I never checked it with my stock exhaust so a small doubt.

Planning to get “WOMET-TECH EVOS SHORTY LEVER KIT FOR YAMAHA YZF-R1 / YZF-R6 / MT-09” same model as shown in this video, but upon ordering online there’s a note saying “Does NOT fit the 2021+ MT-09 SP”
Email them. May be due to the cruise control switch. But they will answer all your questions. But it fits the standard 2021 MT09 for sure. Same exact lever for my 2018 R1

Yamaha does not recommend the crash protection on the side of the engine mount. Because if you have a crash the mounting point may brake and crack the engine block.
Wish the reservoir on the handle bar was more like mt-07 its just way out ther on the mt-09

this mod 1 , have an impact at your driving ? you know , 1 mod keep you on kind of train rails ?? !
Cause averybody said how playful is the Tracer 900 and Mt09 ,but when i ride it , i didnt find it playful at all .
Now... this conclusion is falty cause the bike was set at mod 1 when i ride it ??????
This is the full system exhaust of choice - unfortunately it is not street-legal in our country.
And many race tracks nowadays have a dB limit of 100 (or lower)…

The Akra exhaust sticks out just too long imo. WIshed they made it shorter.

This exhaust are not street legal, in eu for the exhaust cost 2464 $ that price of the bike 1/5 so i stuck with the original exhaust....
Wow do they inspect the bike every year? Or will it not pass customs?
@@yamayari8351 The police man can inspect any time, and every 2 year need to take for a visit. And if the police man ask for the papers for the street legal and you dont have it. Then the police man take the licence plate. And you must take a detailed ispectation near the police station. If like your mirrors and you turn signal do not have any street legal paper then you have to pay penalty and they take the licence plate until you make the modyfication back to the original or street legal. Most of the time the eu bikers are just modify the bike back to the original when the 2 yers visit, after put the "upgrades" back. The street legal turn signal 2 times expensive than the not street legal item.
@@cryboyhun so you would have to buy the Homologated Exhaust system from Akrapovic? Looks like it has a built in cat. But not sure. But here in the US it’s almost 1500 dollars.

Yes indicators and instrument is horrible and cheap.
You forgot the most important upgrade, the suspension, it's impossible to drive on standard suspension

youd b better off modding with parts that look similar to stock but work better, its only a matter of time before u get a douche bored cop that makes u go back to stock if u have too radical looking mods
Possibly. But in Florida as for now, the cops only go after the stunters, mods and nice looking bikes are still allowed unless your riding recklessly lol but I have been pulled over by douche cops already.
