Just playing this song for however many times Ozzy’s guitar players had to on tour would make them a very highly skilled guitar player. Jake E. Lee is an amazing guitarist. He wrote the entire Bark at the moon record. And The Ultimate Sin, this one very Heavy.
my fav guitarist for sure , may not be note for note perfect , he has his own thick ass bible of original tunes and hes a killer showman...thumbs up here :)

I agree. I noticed some could be the video sound quality, but his playing is super sloppy and all over the place. I'll take Jakes version any day over this.

Zakk is a great guitarist but some of the solos of ozzy previous songs he can't do justice. This in particular will never be done as well as the way jake did it. Not to take away his contributions as no more tears was a great album.
Same as jake trying to do some of Randy's solos just wasn't the same. Each have a unique style

Guys in the comments... what do you expect? Do you want him to play every single note exactly as the orignal studio recording? It's a live show he's just feeling the music ofcourse It's not gonna sound exactly the same, cause he's not the same guitar player he throws his own twist to it which quite frankly i would much rather listen to in a live setting, if i wanted to hear the original solo i'd just put it on in my headphones on spotify

Quit hating on the guy who destroy any of you in a guitar playing competition. I love Jake and he on of my favorites. Zakk is an excellent guitarist. I’ve listened to him a lot. Jake is underrated and unbelievable!! Quit acting like Zakk can’t play because he uses a phaser or his own brand of sounds
I liked Jack Lee better, but you have to admit that Zakk is also a virtuoso. I don't think anyone can beat him in fingering right now.

This is not that good. Slow phaser on it, and he missed the big squeelie bend at the end of it. He just went straight back to the main rhythm part.

That's why I have never respected Zack, he doesn't respect the solo guitars of other guitarists and tries to do it his own way.
I mean even randy adjusted his own solos live vs album. That part doesn't bother me. What does bother me is the muddy tone and excessive effects to where you can barely hear the guitar. Sounds like it's under water. This solo is supposed to be brighter in tone
I bet if he cleaned that up, it'd sound a ton better even with the slight note choice difference
