In addition to at least one of these, you needed an accurate enough QB to get you the ball and the trust of the coach/tandem(QB and WR). Sometimes, the coach or QB feared Deion or did not have enough confidence in the WR, so--despite the QB and WR fitting the bill--the WR received no targets(regardless of how open he got). Owens in 97 likely fit, but either Mariucci or Young was too afraid to go to him. He tossed Deion like a rag doll. In my opinion, they had the QB; the only thing Owens had to do was use his strength to outmuscle him and/or use his size to shield Deion from the ball; then, catch the ball(any carom in the air could wind up picked)
