In the big picture, taking all skill sets, accomplishments and records into account, Jerry Rice is far and away the greatest receiver in NFL history. Put him in today's game and his records would be even more obscene. He was unstoppable whether taking a short pass, a crossing pattern, a hand-off, or a bomb, and was a threat to score a touchdown every time he touched the ball.
What’s crazy is he wasn’t the fastest, tallest, biggest, flashiest, couldn’t jump the highest, etc but he had all time great hands to go along with true “game” speed and his work ethic was 2nd to none and that made up a lot.

Randy’s my 🐐 receiver. This guy was unstoppable… He never got a chip, but played on a 15-1 team and 16-0 team, and was the MAIN reason for those teams flawless records. I’m not mad at anyone who has Jerry Rice first tho. Jerry was a workout warrior, champion, and record holder.
I hated Jerry Rice as a Viking fan..I swear every time he touched the ball it was either big yards or a touchdown lol
It's Jerry, TO, Randy, and Megatron. Ain't no way we are throwing Irvin in over those including Harrison.
100
Bro is he better than Ab fr what about Julio jones Chris Carter tay adams they need to stop bringing up rings in a team sport so dumb bruh
Clutchness big plays I'll take lrvin over marvin anyday
There a reason they called him the play Maker
i got the same list, but Marvin instead of TO
Jerry, AB, TO, Randy
Marvin Harrison Underrated. He was consistently consistent game after game
He’s an 8x pro bowler, on an all-decade team, and in the HOF. Thats not underrated.
Agreed, so was Sterling Sharpe

Only 1 guy on that “Mount Rushmore” has won the Super Bowl. Why? Because at the end of the day the Yards and TDS are cool and all. The highlights. *BUT I NEED YOU TO BE A PLAYMAKER WHEN IT COUNTS!*
T.O gave u 9 for 122 . Ain’t his fault Mcnabb was throwing up in the huddle lol
Why do you think Michael mentioned Drew Pearson.
You sound dumb, you need multiple groups of players to win a football game
@@patrickwiley9498 I love TO but he and the Playmaker Have two styles of leadership. Both translate to HOF but only ONE translates to Super Bowl Wins.
@@df6148 I get that and I’m the biggest T.O and u right he wasn’t the best leader but I can’t let super bowls define receivers because it’s such a dependent position . And for Rice u gotta remember the 49ers was already good before he got there and he had Joe Montana and Steve young . Hall of fame hall of fame lol

MOSS is the GOAT.
VERY FEW could touch Moss' GOD GIVEN SPEED.
Moss 17+ TDS: 3 TIMES
(Most EVER)
Moss LED THE NFL IN TD Catches: 5 Times (Most EVER)
Moss is the ONLY WR IN NFL HISTORY to AVERAGE over 100 Yards, 1+ Tds, and 6+Receptions per Game across a 16 Game season. (1600+Yards, 16+ Tds, 100+Rec). RICE NEVER DID THAT - and he's known as mr. stats. It's part of why I say MOSS is the GOAT. His 4 Year PEAK Seasons > ANY WR 4 Year Peak Seasons. He's also the ONLY WR IN NFL HISTORY to ever get MVP votes as a ROOKIE. People don't talk about that enough. He is the first, and last, WR to become THE BEST WR ON THE FIELD as a ROOKIE.
He took a passing offense RANKED OUTSIDE THE TOP 12 in passing yards per game and RANKED OUTSIDE THE TOP 10 teams in Points Per Game in 1997 with Chris Carter and Robert Smith, and transformed them with his addition ALONE in 1998 INTO THE GREATEST OFFENSE, to that point, in NFL HISTORY.
Moss ran a 4.25 at 6'4'9 (so almost 6'5) and could've played in the NBA. Jason Williams who played vs Jordan, Kobe, Lebron, said Moss was the best athlete he had ever seen. Bob Pruitt, who is close friends with Carl Lewis, said on the record that Randy Moss had more naturally running talent than Carl Lewis but never saw his full potential because he chose football and not track and field.
Moss also had BETTER HANDS than Megatron and, BELIEVE IT OR NOT, was a BETTER ROUTE RUNNER than Megatron.
Moss took a WASHED UP Randall Cunningham to the playoffs; he took Jeff George to the playoffs; he took a combination of Daunte Culpepper and Gus Frerotte to the playoffs; Brady put up the #1 QBR SEASON of all time PLAYING WITH RANDY MOSS (07/08).
I haven't seen many catch a WR screen and BEAT 6 GUYS to the TD zone when the other team was NOT BLITZING - and Moss did that like 5 times in his career.
Megatron is FREAK OF NATURE but he's #2 all time.
Moss's nickname wasn't "freak," it was SUPERFREAK because in his prime his acceleration was INSANE. For a good example go watch the second to last play of the 2007/2008 Super Bowl vs the Giants (the Undefeated season Super Bowl upset vs Eli Manning). Moss has 5 DBS all 30 yards OFF of him and he BURNS ALL OF THEM.
Megatron - nor really any WR in history other than Bob Hayes and Tyreek Hill could have done that. Michael Strahan said it best: "On that play, I almost had a heart attack. The thing is everybody in the stadium knows Moss is fast, and he still blew past our secondary. It was millimeters from being a catch but we got a finger on it."
Randy’s List is literally correct lol. Everybody else on is on the outside. I actually got Ocho ahead of Irvin, but that’s just me. Forget those rings, y’all seen what that man did. He was always open, and if he got the ball as often as he was open mannnn cmon. If he had a HOF caliber QB, stop it. He’s in easily. If we talking hands, route running, release, WHAT MAKES A WR, Ocho would have to be in anybody’s top 6 or 7. I respect Fitz, Irvin, Julio, Hopkins etc. for their hands but man Ocho had the sweetest feet I ever seen touch a field.
Man Ocho was not better then the Playmaker. Your crazy
@@melvinyoung2264 Shin me, but that’s your opinion. I respect it.
Tyreek over the freak is CRAZY
Jerry Rice isn't one of the faces of Mount Rushmore. He's the entire mountain.
Jerry Rice had 1200 yards with the Raiders at 40yrs old. Somebody needs to be enlightened.
I love hearing great players talking about their favorite great players. Because they see the stuff that we don't see as fans. It's great
Terrell Owens, Jerry Rice,Andre Reed, Randy moss,Art monk, Mega Tron Calvin Johnson , Antonio brown, Steve largent 🔥
Michael’s list is TRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's HIS list... he's an hall of fame WR...
It's biased
No Sterling Sharpe. The only guy that challenged Jerry year after year. Unstoppable player. Just that injury.. that injury….
AB had a 5 year stretch where he was the goat
No he wasn't. He 5 year strech wasn't better then Rices 92-96 years. You know when he was in his 30's.
@@TinoR626 you sure about that ?!
@@XxPoizinivyxXJerry had 22 td in a12 game season over. 1,000 years in run era in the West Coast offense for years
@@XxPoizinivyxX Yeah. No question his 5 all pro best ab 4 his 13.9 yards a catch was better and his 15 more td would say he was. Rice was also used in the run game as was better at it. AB did have 543 more yards on 58 more catches but that just 9.3 yards a catch which was under his average of 13.5 yards a catch. Also I'm assuming your talking about his 13-17 years and not his 14-18 years. as in the 14-18 his yards go down but his td go up by 7 still.
Again Rice was in his 30's doing this and if you wanna go same age for age then its not even close rice averaged 16.8 yards a catch had 23 more td's the AB. Lead the league in td 4 times and yards twice. While Rice did have 1273 less yards over that span he also had 191 less catches. Just to have that many catches for Rice you would need to add the next 2 years. So from 87-93 9279 yards 16.2 catch average 100 td, between 25 and 31 oh and he's still all pro every year.
Yeah I'm sure.
Easy on all the BSing guys. Keyshawn was def good, Irwin was def great but ultimately Moss got it right. T.O 5 time FIRST TEAM ALL PRO 2 time touchdown leader. Moss 4 time FIRST TEAM and 5 time touchdown leader and of course Jerry Rice 10 time FIRST TEAM so please. The only debate here is Megatron and even then 3 time FIRST TEAM which is one more than Irvin.
Antonio brown has to be in the conversation right?
Yea he went crazy but he was a monster of a receiver
And he’s only 5’10!
To me it’s jerry randy megatron and AB
No but he's 6-7 differently over Irvin
Those 4 are good choices but there are plenty more to add.Fitzgerald,Largent,Hill,A Johnson and 2 or 3 from the 88(playmaker) club.
The most criminally underrated of all time is Keenan Allen. The nuance to his route running is crazy. He’s never been a burner and I believe he ran a 4.6 at the combine. For me that makes his career even more insane. The way he varies speed on his release and in and out of breaks even on the same routes throughout a game shows the type of work he puts in to gain separation and present an open target for his QB. Keenan is still cooking cats out there playing at over 30 yrs old because he understands how to create separation from DBs . If you’re a young receiver now watch Keenan vs the Vikings and Lions this year and watch a master work at creating separation not with speed but superior technique.
Allen was never at any point in his career considered the best in the league. His and Evans consistency is admirable but they’re just not on the level of these GOAT’s
Larry Fitgerald by far is the most Underrated WR
*To say Tyreek Hill is one of the greatest receivers of all time is absolutely ridiculous!* He is merely the receiver Du'jour. Is Michael smoking that stuff again?🤣 We all know Skip is an idiot and a prisoner of the moment. TH is a bona-fide speedster, and that is his predominant talent at the position, not his hands nor route running nor blocking downfield. Speed ends with any type of injury e.g. back, knee, calf, ankle, Achilles etc. Metcalf in Seattle, Debo in Frisco and Adams in Oakland are all superior to TH as overall receivers. *TH is not 1 step faster than Bo, Deion, Db Daryl Green, Rb Chris Johnson nor Randy Moss.* Foolish hyperbole must die!🤣
The disrespect to Julio Jones is beyond me manz might not be in the Rushmore but he’s WITHOUT QUESTION top 7
More like top 15
If being a champion is the criteria according to Irvin, then you have to include Lynn Swann from the Steelers. 4x champion and a Super Bowl MVP. He gave my Cowboys fits in 2 of Super Bowls that they beat us in the 70s
Rice was probably the best blocking receiver in league history, and he ran the reverse in a spectacular manner. When John Taylor had that big catch in the Superbowl, Rice was being triple teamed and he ended up in the highlight blocking the db all of the way down field. No matter how you look at it, Rice was the best to ever do it.
Jerry then Terrell END OF DISCUSSION
I watched all of these guys play, and if we're going to keep it to guys who are retired, I have to put Chris Carter in the mix. That man caught so many balls for critical 1st downs, with fingertip and one handed catches. He and Moss were the greatest WR duo I ever saw. If I were building a team and picking WRs, I'm taking Jerry Rice, Chris Carter, Randy Moss, and Calvin Johnson. I would put Michael Irvin just behind Carter. TO was great but caused too much of a disturbance for many of the teams he was on.
5:55 KJ knows he needs to give a quick honorable mention shout out to the great Wayne Cherbet!!
How do you spell that cat's name again?
He was a pioneer in his own right: of the short but jacked Caucasian slot receiver movement of the 2000s.
T.O ,Jerry, Marvin Harrison,Megatron,Moss ,and if Sterling Sharpe wouldn’t have got hurt ,he would hold all records,NFL go🐐 WR ,Facts
I put Sterling up there still, he was that good
Wide receiver is a hard position to judge by rings. There's plenty of them that have rings and they're not considered legendary. Julian Edelman was good and he has 3. By the ring logic it would make him better than Randy Moss lol
Calvin Johnson got triple and doubled coverage nobody else ever saw that. Give that man some credit flat out
Moss was FACTUALL doubled, tripled, even QUADRUPLED (yes, there's tape) covered more than any WR, easily, in HISTORY. His combination of size and SPEED has neve been seen. MOSS > Megatron. Moss did things Megatron has never done. Moss HANDS > Megatron's Hands FACT.
Megatron couldnt touch Moss' GOD GIVEN SPEED.

During his era, Irvin was considered one the best outside of the g.o.a.t. Considering that Dallas was a run dominant team in that era, he definitely can make the case!!
Irvin is #30 in receiving yards for a career. #65 in receiving touchdowns. If you switch systems and situations, I'm not even sure he's the best WR sitting at the table.
