Oh I so understand I modeled and was told I needed to loose weight even though I was still underweight for my height 5’5” I now weigh 100 lbs but I’m a competitive cyclist I eat very well I am so happy not starving myself which I did ( actually started loosing my hair, it was horrible .

Thank you for sharing - I think it is definitely helpful for aspiring young dancers to be aware of these issues - and to see that you can design your own life and not just pin your career on being in a company ☺. However I am surprised that as a nutritionist you did not highlight the connection between poor bone health (and therefor increased likelyhood of fracture) and underfueling / RED-S more - I think that’s really important for young dancers to be aware of!
Hey i am the photographer from the Opera house, i must say....1000 dollars a month was a pretty good salary for my country, now it is worse for new dancers. I am fortunate to not rely on the payment from the opera for my living conditions.
Sometimes we have to let go of the life we planned, in order to live the life that was planned.
