Thanks for posting. Let me know if it gets really hot. My traxxas brushless motor gets very hot.

You are welcome. Brushless motors are usually safe up to about 145 to 150 degrees. So it will be hot to the touch but may still be ok for the motor. You can check it it a cheap ir temperature gun. They are like $15 but are an easy way to check your system. every vehicle is a little different, so pick one of those up to monitor your vehicle. Also check to make sure something is not causing any binding in the drive train. That can cause heating as well.

After installing the brushless systems set it to Crawl Mode and do some super slow crawling. Please let us know if the motors get extremely hot. Thank you in advance.

How much does this setup cost?

the Brushless system cost $119 directly from Traxxas.com. I will give you some insight. we a Currently filming the review of the brushless system for the side by side comparison and ended up blowing out the differentials. So just to give you some advice I would highly suggest buying the steel differentials as well.

that transmission have no bearings? just bushings?
how have you tried this with the high speed transmission?

I have installed bearings in both vehicles now. I did install the high-speed gears but removed them immediately. With the stock motor and the high speed gears, the truck did not have enough power to function properly. Low speed driving was not possible. Then, I tried installing the high-speed gears with the brushless system, and it created way too much heat on the brushless motor. It would have burned up. For the type of driving we do with these, the brushless system and the stock gearing work perfectly. And it can still crawl if you want it to.
